I slowly descended down toward the ancient dragon that showed no sign of living given that I had already cut its head off. 

“Good job.”

Alaine, who should have been buried between the mountain’s rubbles, came to me as if nothing had happened. 

“Yeah.”

I nodded.

“In the end you have to use your sword.”

“Well, I guess so. The ancient dragon’s magic resistance was stronger than I expected. Man… It’s been a while since I last used magic like crazy. It was super fun.”

I calmly muttered. 

My trump card. It was a cheat ability given to me… Though I didn’t know for sure if I was the only one who had this power. I never ventured outside of this country after all. 

Magic sword. The sword that was the source of magic power resided in one’s body. A weapon with overwhelming power. Just taking it out and wielding it was enough to make anyone considerably stronger than before. 

Well this sword was the manifestation of power itself. If this sword were to break, it was safe to assume that the owner had already died. It was equivalent to losing all of one’s power. Scratching it even just for a little bit or mixing it with another person’s magic power was simply out of the question.

There was no one who would fight with such a dangerous object out in the open. Unfortunately, I couldn’t take this sword from “inside my body” but I could take it out from “outside my body”. 

I didn’t really know how it works or the principality behind it but as of now, I was able to take out various magic swords from outside my body as I wanted. I could summon magic swords after magic swords out of nothing. Ten, one hundred, one thousand, ten thousand. I could take it out as much as I wanted. 

Just a little while ago, I had taken out ten thousand magic swords and pulverized everything. Also, the strength of my magic sword was in an entirely different realm.

The strength of the magic sword was proportional to the strength of its human, of its source. If the person was strong then the magic sword would be strong and if the person was weak then the magic sword would be weak.

The magic sword I took out was more powerful than Alaine’s magic sword. It was really monstrous. The magic sword I could take out. I could easily defeat an ancient dragon with just one sword. 

Even with this monstrous cheat ability I had, Alaine was still stronger than me in melee combat, you know? She mowed down all of the magic swords I pointed at her with her heavenly sword. Her attack was able to reach me without any problem. She was really a monster. 

Still, if it was a long distance fight, I could win against her. It’d be lame if a magician like me lost in a long distance fight against a swordsman like her. Though, I didn’t know if there was any other magician that could win against Alaine in a long distance fight except me. 

“Now that we’ve defeated the ancient dragon, shall we go back?”

“Let’s go.”

“Heave-ho.”

I lifted Alaine in a princess carry and flew to the sky. 

“Gufufu.”

Then, I also levitated the ancient dragon’s corpse along with the fake ancient dragon’s corpse before I set my course toward the adventurers’ guild.

T/N: So ordinary people can’t take out their magic sword but our MC can? And I guess though MC’s magic sword is stronger than FL’s magic sword, MC and FL are on par with each other since they have their own forte.
