Yue Lin curved his lips into a smile.
“Don’t need it?”
Though his lips formed a smile, there was no warmth in the muscles beneath. Not only was there no humor, but the coldness in his expression seemed to seep into one’s bones.
He confirmed with a cold tone, “Do you hate me that much already?”
Chu Hanjin didn’t bother explaining, only saying, “It’s best if you and I keep our distance.”
“Keeping your distance? That’s not up to you.” With that, Yue Lin swiftly grabbed Chu Hanjin’s wrist, pulling him into his embrace. Chu Hanjin, still weakened by his morning sickness, felt his lower body lose balance and, in the next moment, found himself sitting firmly on Yue Lin’s lap.
“What are you doing?!”
“I don’t want to see you suffer like this,” Yue Lin said softly, “Let me help you relax.”
“Let go!” Chu Hanjin struggled, but Yue Lin held him tightly in his arms, restraining his movements, while one of Yue Lin’s hands, like a snake, slid down to his abdomen.
At Chu Hanjin’s ear, Yue Lin’s voice was syrupy sweet, “For the sake of our child, you should let me take care of you.”
Chu Hanjin had never been “taken care of” like this before. He struggled, “You call this taking care of me?!”
He tried to summon his spiritual energy, but the array around them weakened and restrained it. Even so, his resistance was strong enough that Yue Lin couldn’t help but click his tongue. He raised his hand and temporarily sealed Chu Hanjin’s meridians.
“Yue Lin!” Chu Hanjin couldn’t help but shout his name.
His pure white robe, always immaculate, now trailed across the ground. At this moment, Chu Hanjin, who was usually so composed, was forcibly seated on another man’s lap, his neat hair slightly disheveled, a flush of red creeping beneath his eyes, his trembling lips glaring at Yue Lin like a blooming peony in anger.
Yue Lin remained calm, his gaze sweeping over Chu Hanjin’s angry face, “I just want to help you relax. I have no other intentions.”
But given the situation, how could it be considered without ulterior motives? Even if there weren’t any, this position was far too compromising.
Chu Hanjin whispered hoarsely, “…You bastard!”
It was rare for someone as refined as him to utter such a word, but Yue Lin still didn’t let go. Instead, he grabbed Chu Hanjin by the ankle, adjusting his legs into a more comfortable sitting posture.
He slowly channeled spiritual energy into Chu Hanjin’s abdomen.
The warmth in his belly and the flow of spiritual energy did nothing to soothe the shock in Chu Hanjin’s heart. He gripped the arms of the chair tightly, feeling so embarrassed that he wanted to bury his face into Yue Lin’s shoulder.
He felt confused, baffled, and completely shocked.
He never expected Yue Lin to treat him like this.
Yue Lin had never spoken harshly to him, never forced him, never even gone against his wishes. But now…
Chu Hanjin’s voice was hoarse, “Yue Lin, you’ve gone too far…”
Yue Lin seemed hurt by his words. A complicated emotion flashed in his eyes, and he suddenly became more agitated. “Since I’ve already gone too far, I might as well go all the way.”
After massaging Chu Hanjin’s abdomen, Yue Lin picked up a pair of chopsticks, holding a slice of fatty meat to Chu Hanjin’s lips. “Eat.”
Chu Hanjin turned his face away.
“Not eating?” Yue Lin’s hand slid to his chin, his slightly rough fingertips gripping Chu Hanjin’s delicate chin. “It’s bad for your health not to eat. Open your mouth—”
Chu Hanjin didn’t even look at him.
Yue Lin’s voice softened a little, coaxing, “Why punish yourself for my mistakes?”
Chu Hanjin couldn’t help but tug at the corner of his mouth, finally looking at him, “Stop pretending.”
Yue Lin’s fingers froze for a moment, staring directly into Chu Hanjin’s eyes. After a long pause, he seemed to think of something, his gaze darkening. He nodded. “Then I’ll have to feed you myself.”
He placed the meat in his mouth, chewing it like a wolf, his eyes lowering slightly to focus on Chu Hanjin’s face.
Hearing his words made Chu Hanjin’s back go cold. Seeing Yue Lin’s actions, even though he had been sitting still, he began to struggle again, “What are you doing?”
Before he could finish, his chin was gripped, and Yue Lin leaned in, pressing his lips to Chu Hanjin’s.
“……”
Chu Hanjin felt like he was about to go mad!
He couldn’t even describe the feeling. Another person’s chewed meat, still warm and moist, passed through Yue Lin’s teeth and was pushed into his mouth by a probing tongue. As someone with a cleanliness obsession, Chu Hanjin’s back stiffened, and his scalp tingled with discomfort.
Chu Hanjin tightened his grip on Yue Lin’s shoulder, “No… Mm…”
His head was held firmly by Yue Lin’s hand, leaving him nowhere to escape. Yue Lin’s tongue pressed the piece of meat into his mouth, coated with greasy saliva, almost forcing it down his throat.
Chu Hanjin’s fingers curled up, and he shrank back slightly, “No, no… Yue Lin…”
Yue Lin gently stroked the back of his neck, “Swallow it.”
Chu Hanjin’s nails nearly scratched through Yue Lin’s shoulder as he felt the invasive tongue dominate his mouth, forcing the meat deeper into his throat.
No matter how hard he struggled, he was held firmly in place. Dizzy and on the verge of fainting, Chu Hanjin finally swallowed, but the greasy taste lingered in his mouth, making him feel like he was about to vomit.
Yue Lin’s breath was close, his eyes locked on Chu Hanjin’s swollen lips, “Am I really that filthy and disgusting?”
Chu Hanjin’s eyes reddened, and in a burst of anger, he raised his hand and slapped Yue Lin hard across the face!
Slap!
Yue Lin’s head turned to the side, the slap almost expected. He casually licked his lips where the skin had broken, tasting the faint sweetness of blood.
He composed himself, staring straight at Chu Hanjin, “Did it taste good?”
Chu Hanjin knew Yue Lin had acted out of frustration, driven by anger. The eternal conflict between immortals and demons placed them in opposing camps. He had intended to part peacefully, but this person clung to him relentlessly. Though his resentment had not been intense at first, he now felt thoroughly disgusted, unable to even find words.
He didn’t want to speak anymore, “Don’t touch me.”
Yue Lin’s voice carried an icy undertone, “Do you hate me that much?”
Chu Hanjin’s gaze shifted, glancing at him briefly before turning away.
He said nothing, but to Yue Lin, his silence was more damning than any words.
Yue Lin’s eyes dimmed, the embers of his emotions extinguished, and he muttered to himself, “Fine. What I did earlier was out of line. I apologize.”
His sudden change in tone made Chu Hanjin realize something was wrong.
In the next instant, Yue Lin’s fingers gripped his chin again, his voice soft in Chu Hanjin’s ear, “Since you didn’t want it, I’ll just take back what I gave you.”
Before Chu Hanjin could react, a shadow fell over his eyes, accompanied by a surge of heat. Yue Lin’s tongue slid across his lips, licking up the oil left behind, then burrowed into his mouth, searching every corner, as if trying to reclaim every last taste of the meat.
Chu Hanjin was so stunned that he forgot to resist, “Mm, Yue Lin…”
His eyes widened as he felt Yue Lin’s deliberate invasion.
He heard Yue Lin swallow, a sound so intimate it filled Chu Hanjin with shame. He knew Yue Lin’s actions had nothing to do with the ridiculous excuse about retrieving the food. This was something else, something he had felt many times before, during those countless moments of intimacy… It was the beginning of excitement.
Yue Lin kissed him feverishly, deeply, as though he had lost his mind.
Chu Hanjin, sitting in his lap, felt his hair come loose, his pale fingers alternately gripping and releasing. He wanted to push Yue Lin away but found himself powerless. His body and mind tried to stay calm, but he couldn’t stop the faint tingling response stirred by the deep kiss.
Their tongues intertwined, and Chu Hanjin had never been so acutely aware of the sensation of his lips being overtaken. Memories remained just that—memories. But this kiss was too real, mixed with blood, with Yue Lin’s love and hate. It left him dizzy and overwhelmed.
And at the same time, a strange heat started to rise within him.
Chu Hanjin pushed at him, “Yue Lin…”
He finally broke free from the kiss, his eyes filled with anger but also confusion at how Yue Lin could treat him this way, “Why…?”
He hated losing control.
He turned his head away, jaw clenched tightly, trying to avoid Yue Lin’s approaching kiss. He desperately tried to talk sense into himself and Yue Lin, “Don’t… don’t do this…”
But he could already feel it—Yue Lin wasn’t calming down. He had lost control. Even through their clothes, the heat was palpable. Chu Hanjin couldn’t understand how things had escalated to this point. They had only been arguing a moment ago.
Chu Hanjin’s lips were swollen and red, and he tried to speak as calmly as possible, “Yue Lin.”
But before he could say much, his chin was gripped again.
Yue Lin had no intention of hurting him, but his actions were raw and unrestrained. His eyes darkened with a mixture of emotions, “I don’t want to pretend to be the good guy anymore.”
No longer satisfied with merely kissing him, Yue Lin’s hands began to tear at Chu Hanjin’s clothes. Chu Hanjin’s mental defenses began to crumble. Furious, he shouted, “Yue Lin!”
Yue Lin’s burning lips touched his, his voice trembling, “You can hate me… Yes, I’m disgusting, filthy, low… I was born a demon, sinful from birth. You’re an immortal of the righteous path, and we were never meant to be together… I was foolish to ever pretend to be a good person in front of you…”
“If I’d shown my true self earlier, I could have gotten what I wanted sooner…”
His words were filled with defeat, and his actions became reckless, as if he had convinced himself that he was beyond redemption, a man despised and irredeemable.
He had already stripped Chu Hanjin of his white robes, staining them with dirt. His other hand gripped Chu Hanjin’s wrist tightly, rubbing the skin raw and leaving Yue Lin’s hand bloodied with scratch marks.
Enraged, Chu Hanjin twisted his arm hard, but the grip on him didn’t loosen. Yue Lin had no intention of letting go…
In their struggle, Chu Hanjin grew exhausted. His shoes were kicked off, his silk socks slipping from his pale, slender ankles as his feet touched the cool fabric-strewn floor.
It seemed like there was no escape. Yue Lin’s hands were like a curse, and his fervent kisses burned like a wild beast in heat, completely out of control, as he sought to possess Chu Hanjin, his kisses so intense they nearly scorched his skin. (There was only kissing—nothing below the neck.)
It was just kissing and probing, nothing more, but Chu Hanjin felt like he could no longer break free from such intensity.
He was terrified of the repeating madness and loss of control that haunted his dreams.
Chu Hanjin turned his head away, his handsome face pale and trembling slightly as he whispered, “Don’t…”
His voice softened as he avoided Yue Lin’s heated kisses, almost pleading, “Yue Lin… I don’t like this… Please, don’t…”
The hands that had been wandering stopped.
Those soft, pleading words made Yue Lin’s chaotic gaze clear, and his hands, which had been exploring beneath Chu Hanjin’s clothes, froze, going no further.
He knew Chu Hanjin was afraid.
Even though he had stayed calm during the kissing, any genuine expression of affection terrified the memory-lost Chu Hanjin to the core.
Even his voice had unconsciously softened like this.
Yue Lin took a deep breath.
The wild love, hatred, and turmoil that had been boiling in his chest—the emotions that had driven him to madness and cruelty—were now entirely extinguished by that look. His heart was so calm it couldn’t be quieter.
He stopped, wrapping his arm around Chu Hanjin’s waist and holding him in his embrace. He gently smoothed Chu Hanjin’s hair and fixed his clothes.
Then, he smiled faintly, his voice soft, “Now, can we eat?”
