When Lu Jin said this a second time, He Ye, guessing he was joking, pushed him away and walked forward.

He Ye looked at the screen, confused.

In the photo, she was wearing a silly wreath and tilting her head to kiss him. Lu Jin’s mouth was smiling, and his eyes sparkled.

She felt uneasy with the distance and silence, unsure of what he might do next.

Her face turned red, feeling as embarrassed as if her ex-boyfriend was bringing up the past.

Lu Jin added, “I don’t mean anything else; I just want to know, besides my good looks, excellent grades, and how I care for you, is there any reason you agreed to be with me this time because you like me?”

He Ye bit her lip and glared at his hand: “You ask, even though you know the answer.”

Lu Jin said, “Okay, I get it. The photo we just took is proof. If you ever want to break up again, I’ll just show you that photo.”

He Ye turned away, mumbling, “As if I would break up with you so easily.”

Lu Jin replied, “No, if you really want to break up, I must have done something wrong.”

Lu Jin continued, “What I mean is, if I can prove you like me now, then when you want to break up again, at least I can still try to save the relationship.”

The university bully was speechless, so He Ye smiled and urged him, “Okay, continue shopping.”

He Ye’s face turned red as she explained, “Who wants to secretly take photos? I was thinking of getting facial recognition for you so that I don’t have to call the door every time. I’m alone at home, and if it suddenly rings quietly, I’ll be easily startled.”

Lu Jin lowered his eyes and said calmly, “Is it necessary? I don’t go there often.”

He Ye: “…Yes, it’s unnecessary. I deleted the photo.”

Afraid he couldn’t see it, she put her phone on the dining table and deleted the message in front of him.
