I’m Really the Male Mother of the Infinite Flow Boss Chapter 21

Chapter 21: That Bastard Should Know About This Child Too

The only sound in the examination room was the “tap, tap, tap” of the doctor’s keyboard.

Chi Liu’s face was blank with bewilderment. He stiffened and forced a smile, “I’m sorry, what did you say?”

He seemed to have just heard a very… unbelievable word…

He must have misheard because he was so angry with that bastard!

The female doctor, while typing the prescription into the computer, patiently repeated with a calm expression, “You’re over a month pregnant.”

Although a man being pregnant sounded strange, she was a qualified doctor! She’d seen it all!

Compared to performing a C-section on a mother spider the size of a building with a human head, what was surprising about a man being pregnant?

Ha, people from the base fear nothing!

Chi Liu continued to smile, “Doctor, I’m a man.”

The female doctor focused on typing, “Yes, yes, you are. But you are indeed pregnant.”

Finally, she printed the form and handed it to Chi Liu, “Congratulations, you’re going to be a fa—”

She paused, then deftly changed her words with a subtle expression, “—mother(?). Go get a B-scan, let’s see how the baby is doing.”

Chi Liu: “…”

A man’s image flashed in his mind, and a vein throbbed violently on his forehead for a moment—if this truly wasn’t a dream, then he had only been intimate with one person…

Chi Liu took the form and gripped it tightly— that bastard…

The female doctor then pressed the electronic bell on the desk. The door was quickly opened, and Secretary Wen walked in with Xiang Xiang.

Secretary Wen glanced at Chi Liu’s pale face and the look that hinted he wanted to murder someone, making his heart skip a beat—could it really be…?

The female doctor looked at him, “Old Wen, you guessed right, your partner is indeed pregnant. Congratulations, you’re going to be a father! Now quickly accompany him to get a B-scan, you can see your baby.”

Due to security requirements, the base’s medical resources are typically not accessible to the general public.

That super big boss personally arranged this young man’s appointment today—it’s rare to see Old Wen genuinely in love. His partner just needed a check-up, and Old Wen humbled himself to ask that notoriously difficult evil god for a favor!

Chi Liu: “…”

“Cough cough cough cough!”

The repressed Secretary Wen coughed dramatically, a rare occurrence. He widened his eyes in protest, “I, I, I’m not! I didn’t—”

The female doctor glanced at the beautiful young man whose pale face and smile were about to crack, then looked at Secretary Wen with disapproval, “You’ve already gotten him pregnant, and you don’t want to go public? Old Wen, that’s not right.”

“The early stages of pregnancy are when emotions start to fluctuate. As his partner, you should not only be by his side but also try to take care of and comfort him, giving him a sense of security. As his partner and the baby’s father, how can you deny it?”

Xiang Xiang widened his eyes, gently squeezed Chi Liu’s hand, then looked at Secretary Wen in shock, with an expression accusing him of being a scumbag.

Secretary Wen: “…”

Chi Liu finally began to accept the unbelievable idea that he might really be… pregnant. He pinched his forehead in a headache, “It’s not him. Secretary Wen and I are just friends.”

Secretary Wen, the doctor, and Xiang Xiang were all stunned. Chi Liu had already stood up and walked out, waving the form in his hand casually as he faced away from them, “I can go by myself, you don’t need to follow.”

His smile was bright enough to kill, “As for the baby’s father, he’s dead to me.”

With that, he closed the door.

The room fell silent.

Secretary Wen’s brow twitched fiercely—he silently mourned for the boss once again.

Xiang Xiang’s black eye, devoid of highlights, quietly “creaked” and turned.

The female doctor looked at Secretary Wen, “Sorry, Old Wen, I misunderstood you as a scumbag!”

The damned scumbag was clearly someone else!

Secretary Wen pushed up his glasses, “…It’s okay.”

Xiang Xiang looked at the door with a worried expression, unconsciously rubbing his black eye—it was the eye the boss had given him, usually just an ornament in his eye socket, never used.

But for some reason, it felt a bit numb and itchy now, and even the nerves connected to the eyeball were tingling…

Chi Liu lay flat on the bed, lifting his shirt to reveal his flat, firm abdomen.

It remained covered with thin muscles, and the beautiful V-lines extended downward, converging into a narrow waist, not at all resembling someone who was pregnant.

A hand wearing a rubber glove gently applied medical coupling gel to it. Then, a probe was placed on it and moved back and forth.

The strange coldness made Chi Liu frown slightly, gently inhaling, his soft, fair abdomen rising and falling…

“Look,” the doctor wasn’t surprised to see that Chi Liu was a man. He turned the screen to Chi Liu and pointed to a small shadow inside the abdominal cavity, “It’s here.”

Chi Liu’s pupils suddenly contracted. He bit his lip and turned his head to look: a blurry shadow came into view.

Chi Liu was momentarily stunned: What is that?

The doctor pointed to the shadow, “It’s about six weeks old, you can see the fetal heartbeat and bud. Congratulations, the baby is very healthy.”

As if responding to the doctor’s words, the tiny, fragile embryo on the screen moved slightly, as if shyly greeting its mother with the aid of that magical probe.

Chi Liu suddenly widened his eyes, his heart pounding “thump, thump, thump.” An unfamiliar, indescribable emotion surged up his spine, and Chi Liu’s ears rang…

Was that his child?

The B-scan was completed swiftly. Chi Liu sat on a bench in the hallway, examining the B-scan report. He gazed at the small shadow on the paper for a long time before folding it carefully and putting it away, then returning to the original examination room to meet Xiang Xiang and Secretary Wen.

The female doctor looked at the B-scan report and felt relieved. Before the consultation officially ended, she said to Chi Liu with concern, “Mr. Chi, your situation is very special.”

Chi Liu’s situation wasn’t just about being a man who was expecting a child.

Old Wen had also mentioned from the start that if Chi Liu was truly pregnant, then the child’s father was not human.

That’s why she guessed that Secretary Wen was Chi Liu’s partner.

She didn’t expect to be wrong. She didn’t know who the scumbag was who had let down little Chi.

The doctor looked at Chi Liu with even more concern, then said, “I suggest you have all your future check-ups done here, and perhaps more frequently.”

She paused, then said, “I’m here every Friday, you’re welcome to come anytime.”

“Also, rest assured, no hospital has better confidentiality than us.”

Chi Liu didn’t stand on ceremony and laughed freely, “Thank you.”

On the way back, Secretary Wen drove, occasionally looking at the young man who was feigning sleep in the back seat with his arms crossed.

Xiang Xiang sat in the passenger seat, rubbing his increasingly itchy black eye while staring blankly at Chi Liu.

Seeming to realize that he was making people worry, Chi Liu sighed softly and then opened his eyes.

He first smiled gently at Xiang Xiang, “Don’t worry, I’m fine.”

Then he raised an eyebrow and looked at Secretary Wen, who was driving, “When does he finish his business trip?”

Without mentioning a name, Secretary Wen immediately understood who he was talking about, “Ah, the boss?”

He paused, then said with some guilt, “Sorry, Little Chi, I don’t know this time either.”

For the base, the large-scale spatial dissolution occurring in “that world” posed the biggest crisis, as it directly threatened the vacation world itself.

The trouble wasn’t in killing the culprit, but in locating and filling every spatial cavity created by the players, no matter how small.

The boss wasn’t patient to begin with, and now he was probably on the verge of going berserk…

Players shouldn’t have such strange and heaven-defying abilities, but they cheated…

Through a cruel process reminiscent of cannibalism, such as raising poisonous insects, they only succeeded in cultivating one user with spatial dissolution ability…

But he should have died four years ago, not by their hands.

It was stated that a human soldier from the base used himself as bait and personally killed him—at that time, the boss was still asleep and had not yet awakened.

That was the first time he truly respected humans: they were clearly weak and lacked any powerful supernatural abilities, yet they could become exceptionally intelligent, tenacious, and unyielding in their efforts to protect something.

Chi Liu was silent for a moment before asking awkwardly, “Is he okay?” Those injuries must have been very serious.

Secretary Wen was a little incredulous to hear this question and quickly replied, “I guarantee he couldn’t be better!”

Besides being on the verge of going berserk because the work was too trivial, no one there could hurt the boss!

The worry that had been in Chi Liu’s heart for a long time was finally relieved a little. He smiled slightly, “Give me his contact information.”

Before he makes those ridiculous and childish proposals again, that bastard should know about this child too.

Otherwise, it wouldn’t be fair to this most innocent little one.

Secretary Wen felt even more guilty, “Little Chi, we can’t contact him right now…”

The prerequisite for repairing those spatial cavities was for the boss to use his own power to temporarily seal off “that world” completely, preventing players from infiltrating the vacation world on a large scale through loopholes.

Chi Liu was silent for a moment, shrugged, and said, “Okay.”

He lowered his eyes and gently stroked his abdomen: No matter what the reason, if he couldn’t contact him, he couldn’t contact him.

His life had to go on.

What’s more, he now had a little one to raise.

He had decided to give birth to this little one, who was the only one in another world who shared his bloodline.

Even alone, he could raise this child well.

Under Chi Liu’s palm, the sleeping little one seemed to sense something, and the small, incomplete body subconsciously moved again, as if acting spoiled towards the young man.

Secretary Wen looked at the young man in the rearview mirror, who rarely showed loneliness and loss. He opened his mouth, the words were on the tip of his tongue, but in the end, he didn’t say them—for ordinary NPCs in the vacation world, it was happiest not to know or be involved in the existence of “that world.”

Just as the boss didn’t want Little Chi to know about those dark existences, he didn’t want his friend to know either.

He was about to say something to change the subject when Chi Liu had already raised his head. The fragility on his face had disappeared entirely, replaced by a smile that was no different from his usual one: gentle, resilient, and calm.

He said, “Let’s go to the supermarket, let’s have hot pot tonight.”

When you’re hungry, it’s really happy to eat hot and steaming hot pot with beer in an air-conditioned room!

However, he couldn’t drink beer tonight.

Secretary Wen was stunned for a moment, then smiled, “Okay.”

He sighed once again: His friend was truly an amazing NPC with a lot of personal charm.

Chi Liu made a split pot, a tomato pot, and a butter pot.

Secretary Wen rarely took off the suit that seemed to be growing on his body and put on a white T-shirt printed with a lively anime girl with pink pigtails, diligently preparing meat and vegetables.

Xiang Xiang said that was Secretary Wen’s favorite home wear.

Chi Liu was dumbfounded: “…”

Wow, some people are elite beta suit men on the surface, but secretly they’re cute anime fans?!

Secretary Wen pushed up his glasses, raised an eyebrow, and glanced at the yarn balls and oven mitts printed with little yellow chickens in the house. “Everyone has their own hobbies.”

Chi Liu coughed lightly and didn’t say anything else, putting the last plate of lamb on the table in the living room, which was already full.

In the bright and warm space, the air conditioner “wooed” and the split pot simmered, with the sweet aroma of tomatoes mingling with the spicy scent of butter, causing people’s appetites to soar.

Chi Liu sat cross-legged directly on the carpet and put the best Wagyu beef into the pot.

Xiang Xiang sat opposite Chi Liu, almost drooling blue saliva for the first time at the NPC’s food.

Secretary Wen smiled and unobtrusively put a napkin on the boy’s mouth.

Xiang Xiang wiped his mouth and looked at him, “Can I cook the eyeball cans you gave me too?” This broth looks like it would be delicious for cooking anything in…”

Secretary Wen’s brow twitched: “!!! Don’t—”

Before he could finish speaking, Chi Liu had already looked at Xiang Xiang gently, “If you brought them, you can put them in the pot.”

Chi Liu: “If you’re worried about my taste, you can put them in the butter pot.”

He had intentionally steered clear of the heavy oil and salty, spicy pot today.

Although he didn’t understand what the “eyeball cans” that had such a strange name would taste like in the hot pot.

Xiang Xiang happily ran to his little backpack to find the eyeball cans.

Secretary Wen smiled helplessly and gently, “Don’t spoil him more than I do.”

Chi Liu ate a slice of cooked tripe, smiled, and joked, “I’m not the one who helps him exchange the cans.”

So Secretary Wen had nothing to say.

Xiang Xiang had already brought the can over, using a small spoon to dig out the emerald green eyeballs inside and put them into the pot, looking expectantly at the eyeballs rolling into the boiling red broth.

Chi Liu ate the beef and looked at the eyes rolling in the broth with some surprise: “I really don’t know what they’re made of; they can be so realistic!”

Secretary Wen helplessly put his hand on his forehead and twitched his mouth without speaking.

They were cooked quickly. Xiang Xiang picked up chopsticks and carefully went to pick up an eyeball—then, he didn’t pick it up.

The eyeball seemed to be alive, escaping from his chopsticks!

Xiang Xiang blinked, and picked up a second time—still didn’t pick it up.

The third time, the fourth time…

Ten minutes passed, and Xiang Xiang’s forehead was sweating, but he hadn’t eaten a single eyeball!

Chi Liu couldn’t bear to watch any longer and handed him a porcelain spoon, suppressing a laugh.

Xiang Xiang took it a little shyly and carefully went to scoop the eyeballs in the pot—still didn’t scoop them up—every time he scooped them up, those eyeballs would deliberately roll down!

It was as if someone was deliberately controlling those eyeballs.

Xiang Xiang tilted his head: “Huh?”

“Idiot.”

A soft, glutinous, arrogant, and gloating voice sounded in his mind—rather than a voice, it was as if someone had directly transmitted consciousness into his mind…

Xiang Xiang and Secretary Wen both suddenly raised their heads, staring at Chi Liu in disbelief—or rather, at his abdomen.

Chi Liu drank sour plum juice and raised his head: “?”

Secretary Wen opened his mouth wide, and the blueberries in his hand fell on the table with a “thud.” Xiang Xiang pouted and said aggrievedly, “The baby called me an idiot.”

He had already understood today that the thing in Little Chi’s stomach was a baby. However, the baby seemed to hate him… QAQ

Chi Liu: “???”

Another consciousness sounded in his mind.

Xiang Xiang was even more sad: “He said if I try to take you away from him again, he’ll beat me into a pig’s head, sob sob sob…”

Chi Liu: “???”

Why was Xiang Xiang saying similar things again?

Also, he always felt that the particularly incongruous word “pig’s head” sounded familiar—wasn’t that a line from the melodramatic romance drama they watched to pass the time last night?

The campus male lead protectively defended his wife, arrogantly warning the person who bullied the female lead, “If you dare to touch her again, I’ll beat you into a pig’s head!”

The villainous young punk was so scared that he ran around.

As bloody as the love soap operas in the original world.

Secretary Wen watched with relish, he watched drowsily, and Xiang Xiang fell asleep directly on the sofa.

At this time, Xiang Xiang lowered his head, talking to someone, looking sad and troubled, “Can you not beat me into a pig’s head, it’s very ugly, sob sob sob…”

Chi Liu laughed and asked, “Xiang Xiang? Who are you talking to?” He paused and looked at Secretary Wen, who was still in shock and hadn’t recovered. “What’s wrong with you?”

Xiang Xiang opened his mouth before Secretary Wen’s hand could cover it, “Talking to the baby.”

Chi Liu: “???”

Secretary Wen didn’t address it and simply didn’t address it. He looked at his friend with a complicated expression, carefully opening his mouth, “Didn’t you hear anything just now?”

It seemed that Xiang Xiang had once told him very aggrievedly that someone wanted him to stay away from Chi Liu!

He thought it was that childish and self-centered boss!

So he just told the boy not to worry and to go play boldly with Little Chi! His thought at the time was that the boss actually doted on Xiang Xiang very much and wouldn’t do anything to him.

It turns out that, after all this time, the person threatening Xiang Xiang wasn’t the boss – it was the boss’s son.

Chi Liu took a sip of strawberry juice at this moment and answered his question, “No. I didn’t hear anything.”

Secretary Wen: “…”

It seems he is still at the stage where he can only transmit consciousness into their minds and does not yet have the ability to communicate with the mother entity and other NPCs.

Secretary Wen pushed up his glasses: “Should you do some prenatal education?”

Otherwise, if this little guy with such amazing learning abilities keeps saying “pig head” all the time, it would be too…

“Cough cough!” Chi Liu choked on the strawberry juice, his face flushed red. He picked up a tissue and wiped his mouth, but his earlobes were bright red: Resolving to accept a little life was one thing, but hearing someone actually say it was another thing entirely!

Secretary Wen once again nagged like an old woman: “Prenatal education has a long history and scientific basis in the human world, so it’s still very necessary.”

Chi Liu’s face was red as he twitched his lips and retorted: “You’re worrying like the child’s own father.”

Secretary Wen’s chopsticks trembled: “Cough cough cough cough!”

Good heavens, luckily the boss didn’t hear that!

After coughing, he finally shut up altogether.

Chi Liu “pfft” laughed, his eyes crinkling as he continued to eat hotpot.

In a small corner of his heart, the image of the child’s father wearing a ridiculous bear headgear suddenly popped up – speaking of which, he thought his neighbor looked like he’d never eaten anything good before, and even wanted to have hotpot with him…

Chi Liu bit into a shrimp ball, fiercely stomping down the little person in the corner of his heart – see, without that man, he can still live very well.

Soon, night fell.

Chi Liu washed up and went to bed.

He changed into loose pajamas and lay in the fluffy, soft comforter, looking at his abdomen for a long while. He finally turned on the black vinyl record player on his bedside table, pressing the timer and power button.

The soothing and melodious “Schubert’s Serenade” filled the space. Chi Liu quickly closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.

After who knows how long, his brow furrowed slightly in his sleep, and he murmured, “Chu Qi, bastard…”

The spare bedroom.

Secretary Wen suddenly opened his eyes and looked at Xiang Xiang beside him.

In the darkness, the boy was still sound asleep, his breathing long and even.

His left eye was still closed, but his right eye was wide open, its dark pupil radiating a scarlet light, emitting a thick black mist that pierced through the window like a sword and surged in one direction.

Secretary Wen’s pupils narrowed. He chased the black mist and leaped downstairs. When he landed, he was already holding a long blade made of solidified green water.

It was already late at night, and the residential area was pitch black and eerily quiet. Secretary Wen’s two pupils emitted a faint green glow. He could clearly see that someone was lying on the lawn in front of him, their hands and feet entwined in black mist, and even their throat was stuffed with black mist to prevent them from shouting and disturbing someone’s sleep…

A handgun lay beside his hand.

Secretary Wen couldn’t help but sigh: That boss really left such a trump card for Little Chi.

No wonder he emphasized before leaving that he had to bring Xiang Xiang when he went to Little Chi’s house.

He internally complained that he never expected the boss to become the male lead of a romance novel one day – the kind of white knight who rides on auspicious black clouds to save the female lead.

Then, he fiercely stepped on the person’s chest – the water blade in his hand lifted the person’s pained and numb face.

Secretary Wen suddenly widened his eyes: This was an NPC, and he even looked exactly like the NPC whose limbs were crushed and whom he had personally sent to the police station last time!

It was as if he had been copied…

After learning and accepting the fact that he was pregnant, Chi Liu’s life continued as usual.

Half a month later, he first went to the hospital as planned to visit Ms. Chen and her daughter.

At that moment, Ms. Chen had a prosthetic arm connected to her severed wrist. She had received excellent care and rest, allowing her to escape the frightened and uneasy environment. Her originally pale complexion had also taken on a rosy hue.

She sat on the hospital bed, and the adorable, quiet little girl hugged her, burying herself in her arms while occasionally stealing a shy glance at Chi Liu.

The woman looked at Chi Liu, her eyes reddening as she said, “Thank you so much, Mr. Chi. If it weren’t for you, I would have—”

She didn’t finish, but continued, “After my body recovers, I will go to live in another very distant city with Tong Tong.”

Chi Liu gently curved his eyes: “I wish you and your daughter all the best. I wish you both happiness.”

The woman’s eyes welled up with tears: “You too, Mr. Chi.”

After a moment of silence, the woman lowered her head slightly. She gently covered her daughter’s ears before smiling bitterly and saying, “Mr. Chi, I can’t forget my mother-in-law. I used to hate her very much. She usually doted on her son and always stopped me from taking Tong Tong away. But that day, she discovered—”

The woman’s body trembled, and her voice choked: “After discovering that her son was really a monster, she stood on my side without hesitation and rushed forward to snatch the monster’s knife. He killed her. Otherwise, I would have been the one to die…”

“I hated her, but I owe her a life.”

Chi Liu’s eyes were unbelievably gentle. He said, “Ms. Chen, I believe that you and your daughter living happily in the future is the best way to repay her.”

Chi Liu lowered his eyes, his long eyelashes concealing the regret and sadness of not being able to save everyone. His fingertips were hidden in his palm: “She stood on the side of human conscience.”

The woman choked and said “mm.”

After a while, she uncovered her daughter’s ears, curved her eyes, and said, “Tong Tong, go tell big brother thank you, and say goodbye.”

The cute little girl nodded obediently. Her pigtails still had two cat hair clips attached. She ran to Chi Liu, hugged him, and said in a childish voice, “Big brother, thank you for saving me and my mommy. Goodbye, and I wish you and your baby eternal happiness!”

Chi Liu blinked in surprise, then squatted down so his eyes were level with the little girl’s and smiled gently. “Thank you.”

After a moment, he continued, “You were incredibly brave, Tong Tong. You saved your mommy, too. I want to thank you for that day as well.”

The security guards who rushed over in time sent Ms. Chen to the hospital, helping her avoid many dangers.

The girl smiled, her eyebrows and eyes curving into crescents. She said, “I will be even braver in the future!”

Chi Liu ruffled her hair: “Good.”

Before leaving, the little one, who had finally grown capable of “communicating” with NPCs, shyly said goodbye to the NPC Sister, the first to hear his faint “voice.”

There was just a brief pause when leaving the hospital.

In the corridor on the second floor, a thin man wearing a black hoodie was desperately begging a doctor to perform a complete plastic surgery on him as soon as possible.

“We really can’t do it, sir,” the doctor said helplessly as he walked, “The plastic surgery projects you requested, plus the time you requested, not to mention recovery, I’m afraid you won’t even be able to get out of bed for a long time!”

The man was still begging. Chi Liu brushed past him, paused, remembered the other person’s face, left the hospital, and went to his bar, which was still in the trial operation stage.

After arriving at the bar, Chi Liu gained two employees with panda eyes.

It was noon, and there were rarely any customers in the bar.

Wen Xi was lying listlessly on the bar, while Qi Teng rarely avoided her anymore, and was also lying next to Wen Xi like a corporate slave who had been drained by life.

Chi Liu leaned against the bar, his elbow propped on the counter, and seriously reflected: “Am I exploiting you too much?”

“No,” Wen Xi weakly raised a hand: “Brother Chi, you’re very good, there’s someone else exploiting us!”

Qi Teng was very indignant: “Yes! Someone else!”

To complete the task of Ying Wang’s boss, Wen Xi used the entire Qiuhai City as a stage to design a huge, orderly, and completely harmless copy for the NPCs.

For copy designers, calculation ability is actually the most critical aspect. For example, an excellent designer will calculate the probability of players stepping on each brick upon entering the copy, and then set the deadliest trap on the brick with the highest likelihood.

Wen Xi stayed up all night for several days, poring over the player activity data and plant anomaly data provided by Old Zheng and Secretary Wen. He calculated the areas in Qiuhai City where those scattered players were most likely to be, constantly narrowing the scope and then using their abilities to set up interlocking traps…

Currently, the police have arrested at least four players.

Wen Xi’s brain was working so hard it was about to smoke. The roundup is still ongoing.

Although Chi Liu didn’t know why they were so tired, he still said, “Should I give you a vacation?”

Wen Xi and Qi Teng felt so moved that they were about to shed two large, noodle-like tears: “Thank you, Brother Chi, sob sob~”

“Thank you, boss!! You’re a hundred times better than that capitalist Ying Wang!!!”

Upon hearing “that man Ying Wang” again, Chi Liu was stunned. The little bear-headed figure in the corner of his heart began to surface once more. He smiled slightly: “Only a hundred times better?”

Wen Xi & Qi Teng pounded on the counter while lying on the bar, shouting hoarsely: “A thousand times!!”

Chi Liu smiled and turned around: “Go get a good night’s sleep.”

Before getting off work, Secretary Wen came to the bar to pick up Xiang Xiang. His eyes flickered, and he said guiltily, “Ah, well, um, we have something to do today, so that we won’t stay at your place, we’ll continue tomorrow.”

Chi Liu’s heart skipped a beat as he raised his eyebrows at his friend, who clearly seemed to be lying. “What’s the matter?”

Secretary Wen: “Ah, it’s just that, Xiang Xiang hasn’t gone out to play in a long time, so we’re going to a farmhouse today, yes, a farmhouse, just in the suburbs.”

A hint of playfulness appeared in Chi Liu’s eyes: “I haven’t had a good time in a long time either, can I come along?”

Secretary Wen was silent for a long time, his face almost turning green before he squeezed out a sentence: “…It’s not convenient.”

Xiang Xiang looked blank.

Chi Liu laughed and finally let his friend go: “Then you guys go.”

Secretary Wen finally breathed a sigh of relief and slipped away with Xiang Xiang.

Chi Liu worked as usual, wrapping up the day’s work, and then went home.

He stepped out of the elevator, paused, and a cold smile appeared on his face.

Looking up again, he indeed saw the tall, handsome man in a suit standing at his door, rarely looking travel-worn, still wearing that ridiculous little bear headgear.

Chi Liu’s gaze moved downwards, and he saw the band-aids on the man’s pale back of his hand, their positions unchanged.

The edges of the band-aids were already frayed, but the surface was still as clean as new.

Chi Liu touched the tip of his nose – he rarely felt a little sore at the tip of his nose.

The man had already heard the movement and turned around, his dark eyes beneath the headgear gazing gently at the young man.

Chi Liu just sneered – is this interesting? Still wearing that damn headgear.

Who are you trying to deceive!

Chi Liu strode up to the man, picked up the headgear, and then, in the man’s astonished and flustered gaze, slammed the headgear hard on the ground.
