Chapter 6: Emptying the House

Su An ate breakfast leisurely, then went out to see if she could buy anything else.

Su Guohua and Chen Aimei were too late. When they arrived at Wang Dafa’s house, Su Yue’s leg was already broken.

Su Guohua and Chen Aimei collapsed. Su An wasn’t their biological daughter, so they could mistreat her, but Su Yue was.

Seeing their young daughter abused and disabled, how could they not crumble?

But they couldn’t blame Wang Dafa. It was their own negligence that caused this!

Su Yue was traumatized and fainted. Last night’s experience was a nightmare for her.

Su Guohua and Chen Aimei shouted that they had made a mistake and wanted to take Su Yue back, but Wang Dafa refused.

When Su An returned, Su Guohua and Chen Aimei were still out. They had taken Su Yue to the hospital.

The doctor said that although Su Yue’s leg could be treated, it wouldn’t be fully healed and she would be lame.

Thinking of their beloved daughter becoming disabled, the couple were heartbroken.

After arranging for Su Yue to be hospitalized, they returned home.

But as soon as they entered, Su An’s cold eyes swept over them.

Where the hell have you been? I’m hungry. Why don’t you hurry up and cook? Do you want to be beaten?

Chen Aimei trembled with fear and rushed to the kitchen to prepare lunch.

Su An had secretly followed them last night and knew that Su Guohua and Chen Aimei had planned to sell her to an old man and break her legs.

How could she let them get away with that? Even a dog would have some affection for its owner after being raised for more than ten years.

Although she wasn’t their biological daughter, she had lived with them for over a decade. How could they do this?

Su An beat them until they were exhausted, knocking out a tooth from each of them, before stopping.

Su Guohua and Chen Aimei hid in the house and cried. What sin had they committed to have such an adopted daughter?

The next morning, they woke up to find their entire house empty.

Except for the pajamas they were wearing, everything was gone.

Chen Aimei rushed to check her secret hiding place for money. It was also empty. Her money and bills were gone, causing her to scream.

Su An came out of her room and cursed at Chen Aimei. So early in the morning, you’re calling your soul? You’re disturbing my rest.

She threw a punch at Chen Aimei.

Chen Aimei didn’t care about being beaten at this moment. There’s a thief in our house. The house has been emptied.

Needless to say, it was Su An who had done it.

But Su An played along. What? There was a thief in our house? Chen Aimei, did you do it? You deliberately emptied the house and didn’t want to leave anything for me, right?

She kicked Chen Aimei again.

Su Guohua, enraged, yelled at Su An. You dead girl, your house was emptied and you still blame your mother.

You have the ability to deal with your own family, why can’t you catch the thief?

Seeing that Su Guohua dared to yell at her, Su An punched him. You did it on purpose. You didn’t want me to live comfortably at home, or you usually live too ostentatiously and attracted the thief.

Su Guohua got up from the ground in pain and didn’t dare to talk back to Su An. He quickly went to report the theft to the police with Chen Aimei.

The police investigated, but found no clues.

Seeing their empty house, Su Guohua and Chen Aimei sat on the ground and cried for a long time.

They only said that they were old enough to go to the countryside and had no jobs, so they were forced to register.

When the Youth Educated Office arrived, Su An pretended to have just learned about the news and yelled at Su Guohua and Chen Aimei. You are so cruel.

I have a job, but you actually registered me to go to the countryside and want me to give my job to Su Yue?

I know you are biased, but you can’t be so biased. I want to break off relations with you!

The neighbors heard this and stood up for Su An.

Su An had a good job, and Su Guohua and his wife were terrible people. They mistreated Su An, beating and scolding her, and everyone had witnessed it.

Now they had ruined Su An’s future and delayed her life. Everyone understood why Su An wanted to break off relations.

Many neighbors even thought that Su An had finally become more assertive.

Su Guohua and Chen Aimei were still distraught about Su Yue and Su Qiang going to the countryside.

Su Qiang was their beloved son. How could they let him go?

But once the quota for going to the countryside was registered, it couldn’t be changed, even if they didn’t want to.
