In the Name of Love
In the name of Love Chapter 14.2

Chapter 14.2 Convenient, you can find me anytime.

During the dinner, they talked about several AI large model R&D companies that were flourishing abroad. Three years ago, one company was still unknown. The founders were several college students with exceptional computer talent. At the beginning of this year, the company was acquired by a Silicon Valley tech giant, and the R&D team was also poached.

Almost overnight, the founders’ net worth soared to tens of billions of dollars, and they became famous in the industry.

They all knew one of the founders, Ye Shuo, Ye Xicun’s younger brother.

Speaking of which, Sheng Jian Qi looked at Min Ting: “I heard that Ye Xicun is your elder brother-in-law? Is that true?”

Min Ting: “Sort of.”

He added, “Shi Miao didn’t grow up with her mother, and doesn’t have much contact with that side.”

Sheng Jian Qi understood that the relationships in a blended family were complicated, so he didn’t mention it again.

He didn’t mention Ye Xicun again, and even avoided the topic of Ye Shuo.

Several times, Sheng Jian Qi tried to get his lighter back, but Min Ting ignored him.

Fu Yanzhou gave him an idea: “Ask Shi Miao for it.”

Min Ting glanced at his brother-in-law, and Fu Yanzhou pretended not to see it.

At 9:30, while others were still chatting, Min Ting called his driver to pick him up and left early.

Sheng Jian Qi: “There’s a second round.”

After dinner, they would usually go to a club.

Min Ting: “I have something to do, have fun, put it on my tab.”

Sheng Jian Qi flicked the ash from his cigarette, “What’s so urgent?”

Min Ting didn’t hide it: “Picking up Shi Miao.”

Sheng Jian Qi joked with him: “Didn’t you say you got married to deal with your family?”

“Dealing with my family and getting along well are not mutually exclusive? I’m not getting divorced after dealing with them.” This marriage didn’t require romance. He hadn’t seen her for so long because he was on a business trip, and Shi Miao never asked or probed. It was surprisingly more comfortable than he had expected. She didn’t have any emotional demands on him, so he would try his best to satisfy her in other aspects.

Without time to chat, Min Ting picked up his suit and left the private room.

The private restaurant wasn’t far from the swimming pool Shi Miao went to, about a twenty-minute drive.

It was summer vacation and the weekend, so there were twice as many people with children going swimming as usual.

The rest area outside the pool was full of parents waiting for their children. Min Ting stood for two minutes and went back to the car, texting Shi Miao: I’m here.

Shi Miao had just showered and put on her clothes. She had been so busy lately that she had forgotten it was summer vacation.  Showering and blow-drying required queuing, and she wouldn’t have time to blow-dry her hair. She wrung the towel several times, picked up her bag, and walked out of the women’s locker room.

The Bentley was parked on the side of the road in front of the swimming pool. Recognizing the license plate, she went straight there.

The car was parked right under a street lamp, and the interior was brightly lit.  Shi Miao’s face was pale from the hot shower, and a faint layer of pink was on her cheeks.  Water droplets slid down her forehead, and she wiped them away with the back of her hand.

Her hair was also wet.

Min Ting looked at her: “Why didn’t you dry your hair before coming out?”

“Too many people.”  Of course, she also didn’t want to make him wait too long.

There was an unused dry towel in her gym bag, and she found it and draped it over her shoulders.

The car slowly merged onto the main road. The sound insulation system was good, and the outside was hot and noisy, but the inside of the car was quiet, only the sound of her zipping up her gym bag.

Min Ting broke the silence: “The wedding house has an indoor swimming pool. I’ll have someone clean it tomorrow. You can swim there in the future.”

Shi Miao was slightly surprised and looked sideways at him: “The pool is indoors?”

“Yeah.” He liked swimming, and he had designed a pool when he renovated the house.

“Do you live in the wedding house?” she asked.

Min Ting said: “I don’t live there.”

No one lived there, and he was going to have the pool cleaned just for her, and she didn’t know when she would have time to swim again. It was too much trouble.

Shi Miao: “No need, I’ll go to the swimming pool, everything is convenient there.”

She had never been to the wedding house and didn’t know exactly where it was.

They had never discussed when they would move in together. Cohabitation was something very unfamiliar and uncomfortable to them.  Only in these few days did she begin to adapt to having someone else in her life that she needed to care about.

“Did you encounter any trouble at work again?”

Min Ting asked, his voice breaking her train of thought.

Shi Miao was a little confused: “No, why are you asking that?”

The two looked at each other for a moment, Min Ting: “Then I misunderstood. You asked me to have dinner with you alone, I thought you had encountered difficulties at work and wanted to talk to me about it.”

“No.”

“If it’s not work, what is it?”

There was nothing, she just wanted to have dinner together.

Shi Miao suddenly realized that she might have disturbed him: “In the future, we can only meet twice a month, or only when something happens, and it will be inconvenient otherwise? Like occasionally having dinner together. Having dinner might not be for anything specific, or to talk about anything, it’s just a normal dinner. If it’s inconvenient for you, it’s okay.”

Min Ting: “Convenient. You can find me anytime.”
