Qin Zhen glanced deeply at Xia Ye.

He wasn’t surprised that Xia Ye could guess the Pill Chu Ning was refining.

Xia Ye had always been sharp.

“Wife said before, although the Pill is a third-grade pill, its refining difficulty is not inferior to second-grade pills.”

“She wasn’t planning to refine the Pill so soon, but for your body—”

“Did Wife really come up with the formula for the Pill?” he asked.

The Pill and Pill were two types of pills that hadn’t existed before.

Xia Ye had suspected earlier that the Pill might have been developed by Chu Ning, and now, that suspicion was nearly certain.

“No,” Qin Zhen replied simply.

Then, he proceeded to tell Xia Ye about Chu Ning’s story, also explaining it to Gu Ming.

After hearing the story, Gu Ming marveled internally at how impressive his wife’s master was.

Xia Ye, however, had doubts, questioning whether that “master” truly existed.

Despite his doubts, Xia Ye didn’t ask further.

“Wife said that she would help you adjust your body according to your condition,” Qin Zhen continued.

“Xia Ye, your body might improve,” Qin Zhen added seriously.

Xia Ye’s expression froze.

“Wife also has a Nurturing Pill. It might help you reach Class A,” Qin Zhen explained, telling Xia Ye about the Nurturing Pill.

Xia Ye’s heart was filled with turbulent emotions. He clenched his hand in his sleeve to stop himself from losing composure.

“When your mental strength reaches 99,980 or higher, you can take the Nurturing Pill. You might be able to reach Class A.”

“Or, when we find the Wutong juice and have Wife refine the Nurturing Pill, the extra pills could allow you to try several times.”

Xia Ye calmed himself down.

“My mental strength is only 99,888,” he said.

“But, with the Pills Wife gave me to replenish my mental strength, I might be able to continue training it.”

Previously, his mental strength was barely enough to maintain normal bodily functions, leaving him with no extra energy to train further. But with enough Pills to restore his mental power, he should be able to practice.

Qin Zhen’s eyes lit up with joy.

“Good, then you should focus on training!” he encouraged.

“Mm!” Xia Ye’s eyes flashed with determination.

Soon, it was lunchtime.

After refining a furnace of Pills, Chu Ning decided to take a break.

After counting the pills she had made in the morning, she walked over to the three beastmen.

“Let’s go eat lunch first. We can continue in the afternoon.”

The three men responded and left with Chu Ning.

When they arrived at the restaurant, the table was already set with a rich variety of dishes.

Qin Zhen snapped out of his thoughts and replied, “Oh, okay,” before getting up to fetch the pills.

After retrieving the pills, Qin Zhen hesitated for a moment and left the thirty bottles for the military. Then, he gave six bottles to Xia Ye.

“I can use the pills for the military, but since these pills don’t need to be given to elders, I’ll give them to you instead. You’ll need them for training your mental strength,” he said.

Gu Ming, seeing this, had a moment of hesitation before picking up a couple of Pills and giving them to Xia Ye.

“I promised my mom and sister I’d give them two bottles each, so I can only give you two,” he explained.

Xia Ye smiled.

“Thank you,” he said, taking the pills.

Chu Ning noticed the exchange and hesitated for a moment.

Of the three beast husbands, Xia Ye undoubtedly needed the Pills the most.

Should she give him a few more bottles?

If she did, Qin Zhen and Gu Ming might not be too happy about it…

Cough — “Xia Ye, your health is worse, so you probably need more Pills. I’ll give you six more,” Chu Ning decided to say.

“After eating, you can tell me, and I’ll refine more,” she added, handing him six more bottles of the pills.

Qin Zhen and Gu Ming immediately shot glances at her, making her feel a little guilty.

But Xia Ye smiled warmly.

“Thank you, Wife,” he said, accepting the pills.

Then, gathering her courage, she changed the topic. “In the afternoon, I’ll refine some Pills, and I’ll give each of you two bottles.”

The three beastmen exchanged knowing looks and smiled.

Then, Qin Zhen, acting promptly, began to serve Chu Ning some of her favorite dishes.

“Refining pills is hard work; Wife, please eat more.”

Gu Ming followed suit.

“My favorite chicken leg, for Wife.”

Seeing Chu Ning look at Qin Zhen and Gu Ming with innocent eyes, Xia Ye couldn’t help but smile.

“I’m sitting far away, so it’s inconvenient to serve you, Wife. Zhen-ge, could you pass me a chicken wing for Wife?”

Qin Zhen, hearing this, did as asked.

And so, Chu Ning’s bowl now had an additional chicken wing.

Seeing the three beastmen getting along so well, Chu Ning felt she had worried too much earlier. At the same time, her heart felt much lighter.

Her previous lack of experience in marriage, especially with three beastmen, made her anxious that things might not go smoothly, possibly causing disharmony. But now, it seemed she had overthought it.

After the meal, Xia Ye didn’t join Chu Ning in the pill-refining room but instead went back to his room to train his mental strength.

In the afternoon, Chu Ning increased the number of Pills from twelve to twenty.

After practicing for half the afternoon, Xia Ye’s mental strength increased by a full 12 points, from 99,888 to 99,900, bringing him closer to the final 100-point stage.

When the test results came out, even the guards couldn’t believe it, and Xia Ye himself was astonished.

The Pills had allowed him to train almost without being affected by his physical limitations, enabling him to practice for the entire afternoon.

The Pills further improved his training effectiveness.

At dinner, Chu Ning again distributed the Pills.
