Chapter 31: I’m Your Wife

Xu Meng was intimidated by Cen Wan’s gaze. Cen Wan exuded an aura of unattainability, making Xu Meng feel like a clown for a moment.

Just then, Xiang Yang rushed over and scolded, “What are you two doing?”

Xu Meng, as if finding a savior, looked at Xiang Yang with a tearful, pitiful expression, “Manager, I was just urging her to finish her work, and she hit me.”

Cen Wan sneered, “Sorry, I hit you, but it wasn’t because of work.”

Xiang Yang scanned the watching employees, “What are you looking at? Get back to work.”

Xiang Yang calmed Xu Meng down and called Cen Wan and Xu Meng to his office. Chang Ning couldn’t help but feel a little worried, afraid that the two of them would gang up on Cen Wan.

Chang Ning paced back and forth not far from the manager’s office. She was about to barge in when she bumped into He Yi. She was a little anxious and grabbed his arm.

He Yi lowered his head and looked at her, “Let go.”

Chang Ning hesitated. She couldn’t let go, but she couldn’t hold on either. If she let go, he might leave.

“Your cousin just hit Xu Meng, who is having an affair with Xiang Ba Pi. Xiang Ba Pi called them to his office.” Chang Ning quickly said this and then hurriedly let go of He Yi’s arm, observing his expression.

“Go to work.” He Yi glanced at her and walked directly towards Xiang Ba Pi’s office.

Chang Ning looked back three times. She was still worried.

Xiang Yang leaned back in his office chair, spinning his pen, “Let’s have dinner together tonight, and then watch a movie. I won’t pursue this, it depends on whether you’re willing to give me face.”

It’s just workplace unspoken rules, Cen Wan thought. She was a little curious. How did someone like Xiang Yang climb to this position?

Xu Meng’s face turned ugly when she heard Xiang Yang’s words, but she didn’t dare to say anything. She was nothing in Xiang Yang’s eyes. He could keep her if he wanted to play, and he could discard her if he didn’t.

Cen Wan propped her hands on the desk and looked up and down at Xiang Yang, “What if I don’t?”

Xiang Yang threw his pen on the desk, “Then you and your little sister can get out.”

He, like Xu Meng, didn’t believe that He Yi was her cousin.

Just then, the office door was pushed open. He Yi walked in, “Xiang Yang, you and Xu Meng are fired.”

Xiang Yang and Xu Meng were stunned. They looked at He Yi in disbelief. Cen Wan walked to He Yi’s side, a smile curving her lips, “You and Xu Meng guessed right. He Yi isn’t really my cousin. But, your CEO is my husband. Xiang Yang, you’re aiming at the wrong target.”

Xiang Yang was shocked. How could…

He finally realized that she had the surname Cen.

Cen Wan looked at He Yi, “This kind of person is a nuisance to the company. Tell Lu Beixun for me, you need to be careful when hiring people.”

“I’ll take care of it.” Cen Wan said and left the office.

She knew that He Yi knew what to do.

Ten minutes later, all employees received an email saying that Xiang Yang and Xu Meng were fired for workplace unspoken rules. Now, no one doubted whether she was really He Yi’s cousin.

Xiang Yang and Xu Meng knew Cen Wan’s identity but didn’t dare to say anything. If they dared to reveal a single word, they would be in worse trouble.

The two of them left dejectedly.

At lunchtime, when they were resting, the colleagues put snacks on Cen Wan’s desk, thanking her for getting rid of the two nuisances.

They had been unhappy with those two for a long time, but they didn’t dare to say anything. They didn’t expect that she would get rid of those two pieces of shit after only a few days.

Cen Wan smiled and said, “It has nothing to do with me. The company has a clear rule against workplace unspoken rules.”

They knew about the rule against workplace unspoken rules. They had even thought about reporting it, but it always ended up being dropped. On the one hand, they were afraid that they were too insignificant. On the other hand, they were afraid that Xiang Yang had someone backing him.

After this incident, the colleagues were much more polite to her.  Her work was the same as usual.  She wasn’t treated differently.  This was what she wanted.

The CEO’s office.

He Yi: “CEO Lu, Mrs. Lu asked me to tell you, be careful when hiring people…”

He Yi was so nervous that his palms were sweating.

Lu Beixun’s brow furrowed.  His face was gloomy.  He wasn’t unhappy because of Cen Wan’s words, but because someone dared to covet his little woman.

His voice was cold and hard, “Go investigate who hired these two.  Who promoted Xiang Yang?  Deduct their year-end bonus and all their rewards.”

“Yes.”  He Yi didn’t dare to breathe.

“Call Mrs. Lu up.”

“Yes.”

Cen Wan was about to push open the office door when the door suddenly opened.  Her wrist was grabbed and pulled inside.  She was pressed against the door.  One hand tightly clasped her waist.  She could smell his breath.

“Lu…  唔.”

Before she could finish speaking, her lips were forcefully blocked.  He kissed her aggressively, moving his lips around hers.  He seemed unsatisfied and pried open her teeth, tasting her sweetness.

Cen Wan whimpered.  She didn’t know how long he kissed her.  She was about to suffocate when Lu Beixun finally let her go.

Lu Beixun pressed his forehead against hers.  His voice was hoarse, “Our relationship is public.”

This way, no one would dare to covet his woman.

“If it’s public, I won’t be able to work properly.”  Her eyes were misty.  Lu Beixun wanted to bully her again when he saw her like this.

Xu Meng and Xiang Yang were just a small incident.  She just wanted to work properly and not attract any trouble.  But some people just had to run into the muzzle of a gun.

Cen Wan wrapped her arms around his waist, “I’m not someone who will suffer a loss.  If I can’t solve it, I’ll definitely find you, okay?”

Lu Beixun pondered for a moment before reluctantly agreeing.

His thin lips covered hers again.  Cen Wan wrapped her arms around his neck, accepting his passionate and forceful kiss.

The two of them lingered for a while.

Cen Wan returned to her desk.  Chang Ning looked at her, “Your cousin gave you spicy strips again.”

She awkwardly coughed and nodded.

“Your cousin’s way of de-stressing is pretty unique.”

Cen Wan gave a dry laugh, “It is pretty unique.”

Just before work ended, bad news came from the administrative department.  The CEO was personally taking over the administrative department.  His office was also moved downstairs.

Everyone in the administrative department, except for Cen Wan, looked like they were about to die.  They hadn’t even recovered from the joy of getting rid of the two pieces of shit, and they had to face another piece of bad news.

Chang Ning’s face crumpled, “Why is the CEO personally managing?”

“Kill me.  Is he going to give us any way to live?”

Cen Wan patted her shoulder to comfort her, “It’s okay.  We just need to do our own work.”

But she didn’t think that way in her heart.

What was Lu Beixun up to?

On the way home, Cen Wan asked, “Will you be able to handle managing the administrative department?”

“Guess what I’m raising He Yi for?”  Lu Beixun glanced at her.

Cen Wan lowered her head, “Did I cause you trouble?”

Lu Beixun reached out and rubbed her head, “No.  Don’t think too much.  I want to see you.”

When he found out that she had started working, he was both surprised and happy.  He was afraid that she would be tired from work, but he also wanted to see her at the company.

He was also afraid that other people would covet her, like what happened today.

Cen Wan raised her head.  Her clear eyes sparkled, “I’m working to see you too.  Just to see you for a moment.”

“Hmm.”

“Do you know why I slapped Xu Meng?”

“Why?”

“Because she said she was your wife.  It made me so angry.  I’m your wife.  You’re mine.  When she talked about this, Cen Wan’s cheeks puffed up in anger.

Lu Beixun chuckled.  His eyes were full of affection, “Be good.  Don’t be angry.  She’s yours.”
