Chapter 23
The four of them chatted all the way and unknowingly came to the beach.
The moment she saw the sea, Song Shuqian was speechless. She didn’t know how to describe it. She just felt that all the poems she had read before were not enough to describe the magnificence of the sea.
The vast blue stretched all the way to the horizon, connecting with the sky, making it difficult to tell where the end of the sea was and where the beginning of the sky was. Waves rolled one after another, never stopping, making a majestic and powerful sound. The sea breeze blew in with a salty breath, stirring her hair and clothes.
Standing in front of the boundless sea, Song Shuqian felt particularly small, like an insignificant grain of sand. Those things that she was entangled, cared about, and feared on weekdays were so insignificant.
Taking a deep breath of the seaside air was the taste of freedom.
Tian Tiantian took off her shoes, came over and pulled Song Shuqian, “Let’s go, I’ll take you to chase the waves.”
Song Shuqian began to feel a little uncomfortable. In her previous life, taking off her shoes outside and being seen by a foreign man was an unclean act. Then she realized that this was another world. She took off her shoes and socks quickly, held hands with Tian Tiantian, and ran after the sea.
“Tiantian, you run so fast that the waves can’t catch up with you.”
“Hahaha, that’s right, I tell you, I know kung fu, I’ll protect you from now on.
” “Okay”
“Hahaha”
The laughter of the two girls spread far away, and everyone around looked at the girls who saw the sea for the first time with kindness, recalling how they looked when they first saw the sea.
Sister Ding and Sister Feng stood together, looking at them with envy.
It’s great to be young!
“The tide is receding, you two should stop playing”, hearing Sister Feng’s shout, the two hurried back.
Song Shuqian wore the rain boots that Wei Jianguo found for her early in the morning, holding a pair of pliers for catching the sea in her hand. Wei Jianguo also brought her a pair of gloves for fear that she would hurt her hands.
Tian Tiantian was also very willing to spend money, rain boots, trousers, sun hat, everything.
The two sisters came with only one bucket.
This is like a poor student with too much stationery. Two fully armed people, who don’t know how to go to the sea at all, only look for things they can see on the beach. And they must shout with surprise from time to time.
“Tiantian, what is this?” Song Shuxi asked, holding a sea cucumber.
“This is a sea cucumber, very nutritious, you can take it back to dry it or cook it directly.”
“What about this?
” “Sea urchin, this is delicious when steamed with eggs.”
Song Shuxi walked slowly in one direction, turning it over when she encountered a stone, and poking it when she encountered a bulge. The two sisters-in-law said that good things like to hide here.
In a stone crevice, Song Shuxi saw a swimming crab, which looked more than two pounds.
In her previous life, she loved eating crabs, and crab roe buns were one of the few meals she could cook.
Song Shuxi grabbed the crab with pliers and put it directly into the bucket while it was not paying attention.
On a rocky beach, Song Shuxi encountered a stranded baby dolphin, which looked like it had just been born. She took small steps closer, “Don’t be afraid, I won’t hurt you much, I’m going to send you back to the sea now, don’t be afraid.”
It was not known whether the dolphin sensed her kindness or whether the dolphins originally trusted humans, but the little dolphin really did not move and let Song Shuxi send her back to the sea.
Song Shuxi liked the clever little fellow very much.
When Feng Saozi and her friends go to the sea to catch seafood, they would choose those that were edible or valuable. Song Shuxi’s main purpose in going to the sea was to pluck feathers from passing geese, and she also brought back a variety of animals with shells on the beach.
After about two hours, the sea-hunting was over.
Four buckets were put together, and Song Shuxi’s bucket was full of things. She picked up whatever she saw and barely filled up a bucket.
Tian Tiantian was playful and barely filled up a bucket.
Feng Saozi and Sister Ding’s buckets were also full, and they could eat the stewed food today.
When they returned to the family compound, they received the attention of the family members.
“How did these four people get together?”
“Except for Captain Wei’s wife, the others are from the countryside, right? How did Captain Wei’s wife get together with the countryside people?”
“They are all foxy girls, relying on their youth to marry the most promising officers in the compound .”
Hate others for what they have, laugh at others for what they don’t, dislike others for being poor, and fear others for being rich.
There is always such a kind of people who vent their dissatisfaction on others.
Like rats in the gutter, they always stare at others and want to take a bite at any time.
Of course, most of them are normal people.
“Tsk, aren’t you just jealous? You want to pull someone into your home, but they don’t want to, so you hate them?”
“That’s right, I think they are pretty good this way. If you have time, go out and get some food for yourself, and it’s the right thing to do to nourish your man’s body.”
Song Shuxi and the other four didn’t know about the disturbances outside, and even if they knew, they wouldn’t care. No one
talks behind anyone’s back, and no one talks about others in front of them.
Song Shuxi was busy. Seeing that she didn’t know how to clean seafood, Sister Feng and the others decided to go to her house first, help her deal with it together, and then go back to their own homes.
Song Shuqian learned from them very seriously. When it comes to housework, each of them is her teacher.
She also got to know a lot of seafood that she had never seen before.
The four of them separated. Song Shuqian took a simple shower and went back to her room to fall asleep. She was really exhausted today.
When Wei Jianguo came back from training, he got a wife with a rosy face sleeping.
In the kitchen, there were ingredients for tonight, sea cucumber with scallions, steamed eggs with sea urchins, steamed crabs, stir-fried squid, and clams and loofah soup.
Wei Jianguo went back to the bedroom to call his wife to get up for dinner.
As soon as he entered the room, he saw Song Shuqian putting her little nose close to find the source of the fragrance. Her nose was twitching, which was very cute.
Wei Jianguo carried her directly to the kitchen, “I found it, it’s here.”
“Wow, you can do all these. Oh, I should have woken up earlier. I haven’t learned how to do these yet.”
Song Shuqian’s face was full of regret.
“Try them and see which one you like. We don’t have to learn all of them, just learn the ones you like. I usually cook at home, and you can cook for yourself when I’m on a mission, or eat in the cafeteria.”
Song Shuqian showed an overly sweet smile, “Okay, honey, you’re so nice.
” “So happy?”
“Yes, you don’t know, the sea is so vast, standing in front of it, I feel that many of the things I used to stick to are meaningless. The sea is also very generous, we picked up a lot of good things today.
Yes, luckily I listened to you today and wore rain boots. Otherwise, I would have suffered with wet shoes when I came back.”
“That’s right, I will wear rain boots when I go to the water in the future.”
“Okay.”
The young couple ate and talked; it was very warm.
I don’t know since when, the rule of not talking while eating has lost its effect in their family. The two of them meet for a short time every day, and mealtime is also a time for communication. It
is said that when you are full and warm, you will think about what else you want.
That night, Song Shuxi was severely punished by Wei Jianguo, and he asked her not to say anything in the future.
