Kiss the Medal! With Red Lips! A Sweet and Seductive Military Marriage Chapter 107

Chapter 107: Maybe He’s Just Too Handsome?

Due to a landslide, everyone was essentially trapped in the area for the time being.

The heavily affected areas had always been the most focused on. Although the authorities were on their way to clear the roads and begin rescue efforts, the news quickly spread to the outside world.

When Su Hongsheng and his wife, Meng Xian, learned that their long-lost daughter was Luo Qianyun, they couldn’t contact her or get to A City in time, but they were able to learn about the situation promptly.

They had just received news that the medical team Luo Qianyun was part of had gone to assist in the disaster area. But what made them even more anxious was that they had also received word that a landslide had occurred in the disaster zone, blocking the roads and trapping all the rescue teams.

Though marketing accounts tend to exaggerate things, once you strip away the embellishments, at least the landslide and the fact that the teams were trapped were true.

“My little girl…” Meng Xian couldn’t hold back her tears. She had finally gotten news about her daughter, and she feared that fate was playing tricks on her again.

Su Hongsheng, seeing his wife’s distress, felt both heartache for her and for their daughter. He gritted his teeth and said, “Let’s go! We’ll head to the disaster area too!”

By evening, the rain had eased.

Luo Qianyun was standing outside the operating room when she saw Lu Yunzheng again. The moment she saw him, her heart tightened. “Are you hurt?”

Even though he was wearing a mask, Lu Yunzheng could see the anxiety in her eyes. He quickly reassured her, “It’s not me, it’s Qian Hu.”

Sure enough, Qian Hu was carried in with a sad face. “Sister-in-law, it’s not the captain this time, it’s me again…”

“Again, it’s me?” Luo Qianyun couldn’t help but laugh, especially since Qian Hu didn’t seem seriously hurt. “What happened to Hu Zi? Let’s talk while we walk, come with me.”

Old Chen carried Qian Hu while Lu Yunzheng followed behind, explaining what had happened to Luo Qianyun as they walked.

But after just a few steps, they bumped into Xu Jia, who had just come out of another operating room. When she saw the group behind Luo Qianyun, she said, “You go rest, I’ll handle them.”

Luo Qianyun quickly replied, “No need, Dr. Xu, you go rest after you’re done. I’ll take care of them.”

Xu Jia eyed her suspiciously, then her gaze landed on Lu Yunzheng, who stood out more in appearance compared to the others.

Though Luo Qianyun didn’t want to bring up her personal relationships, she felt it would be easy for Xu Jia to misunderstand if she didn’t explain.

So she lowered her voice and quietly said, “Dr. Xu, this is my husband and his team.”

Xu Jia now understood but was still surprised. “You got married so young?”

She was already 32 and still single. She had assumed Luo Qianyun was either single or had a boyfriend, but it turned out she was already married.

Luo Qianyun smiled and nodded, “We just got married recently.”

Xu Jia didn’t ask further and said, “That’s good. After you’re done, go rest.”

After saying goodbye to Xu Jia, Luo Qianyun led the group into the operating room.

The nurses had already completed their disinfection procedures and weren’t surprised by another incoming patient.

Qian Hu had been bitten on the calf by a snake while rescuing an elderly person in the water. However, he didn’t mention it at the time, and by the time he got back to the camp and spoke about it, his leg had already swollen.

According to him, his leg was just a bit weak and there were no other symptoms.

Lifting his pant leg, Luo Qianyun saw two distinct bite marks on his calf, and the surrounding area had already started swelling. Fortunately, the wound wasn’t blackened, and he looked to be in good spirits.

This wasn’t the first time Luo Qianyun had treated someone bitten by a poisonous snake, so she immediately took out the necessary supplies and tools to clean and disinfect the wound. Then, with practiced movements, she injected him with anti-venom.

“Although it was a poisonous snake bite, the venom isn’t very strong. You just need to rest for the night, and after a good sleep, you should be fine,” Luo Qianyun said.

Hearing this, Qian Hu smiled and thanked her, “Thank you, Sister-in-law.”

“Since you’re calling me sister-in-law, helping you is the least I can do,” Luo Qianyun smiled.

After treating Qian Hu, Luo Qianyun and Lu Yunzheng left the operating room together.

Looking at Lu Yunzheng, Luo Qianyun reached out and touched his forehead.

Lu Yunzheng didn’t move, allowing her to touch his forehead, then he reached up and touched hers. “No fever.”

“My physical condition is strong, I’m not that fragile,” Lu Yunzheng said.

“You’ve been without rest for so long, it will affect your immune system,” Luo Qianyun said.

Thinking for a moment, she looked at him, “You should be able to rest tonight, right? Your lives are just as important. You can’t ignore your own safety just to save others.”

Seeing her serious face, Lu Yunzheng raised his hand and lightly poked her soft cheek. “Don’t look so angry, smile. You look better when you smile.”

Luo Qianyun wanted to stay angry, but hearing his words, she couldn’t help but smile.

“Stop trying to sweet-talk me,” she said with a firm tone.

Seeing this, Lu Yunzheng could only promise, “I’ll rest after eating.”

“That’s more like it,” Luo Qianyun said with satisfaction.

Back at the rest area, Luo Qianyun saw Xu Jia and immediately sat next to her.

When Xu Jia saw her, she handed her a cup of red bean milk tea. “A little kid made this for us.”

Luo Qianyun smiled and took it. “Thank you.”

“You’re so young, why did you think of getting married?” Xu Jia couldn’t help but ask.

“My situation is a bit complicated, but when I met him, I felt lucky,” Luo Qianyun replied.

Xu Jia asked, “What do you like about him? People like him are always away from home.”

“Maybe it’s because he’s just too handsome?” Luo Qianyun thought for a moment.

“So, you just like his face?” Xu Jia was speechless. “The looks department, very dangerous.”

“His good looks are just one of his many qualities,” Luo Qianyun responded.

Xu Jia took a sip of her milk tea. “But it was the first thing that captured you.”

“What can I say, I’m a visual person,” Luo Qianyun said innocently.

“At least soldiers are a bit more reliable than others, though not 100%, statistically speaking, they’re worth a shot,” Xu Jia said, raising her cup. “I wish you happiness.”

Luo Qianyun raised her cup and clinked it with hers. “I’ll take that as a blessing.”

While drinking the milk tea, Luo Qianyun never imagined that she and Xu Jia would become friends so quickly.

After the volunteers finished preparing the meal, they delivered it separately to the medical staff, as it was quite inconvenient to cook with so many people in the camp.

Taking advantage of the free time, Luo Qianyun took her meal and went to find Lu Yunzheng.

When he saw her, Lu Yunzheng, who had originally planned to sit on the steps and eat, quickly stood up and found a table.

He could eat anywhere, but she couldn’t.
