Lu Yunzheng didn’t lie to her. The next morning, when Luo Qianyun woke up, she heard that the rescue team had left in the middle of the night.

Lin Xiaowan, standing beside her, furrowed her brows. “Dr. Luo, do you think something happened? Last night, Old Chen clearly said they were staying…”

Luo Qianyun could understand Director Geng’s feelings. After all, the Su family was wealthy, and both parents were kind people. A child would have a good life in such a family, as long as their nature wasn’t bad.

However, Luo Qianyun thought they would go to the capital but was surprised to learn they were planning to go to City A.

The scent of the aromatherapy candle filled the air, making her feel drowsy.

To prevent herself from falling asleep, Luo Qianyun quickly climbed out of the tub.

She looked around the room. “Where are you, little cloud?”

The little creature had been in the room just a moment ago—where had it gone?

As she searched for it, she didn’t notice a tall figure appearing behind her…

When she took a step back, she stumbled directly into his arms.

Luo Qianyun was startled, her hairs standing on end.

But the next moment, she heard a familiar voice. “It went back to its room to play.”

At the same time, strong arms wrapped around her waist, pulling her tightly into his embrace.

Luo Qianyun shivered at his actions, but was more surprised. “What are you doing here? Didn’t you return to the army?”

“I did.” Lu Yunzheng lowered his head and bit her small ear, then began placing soft kisses on her neck.

“So, you took leave?” Luo Qianyun’s voice was a little dreamy, as his kisses made her neck tingle.

Lu Yunzheng’s voice was hoarse as he spoke. “The rescue mission went well, so the commander gave us a two-day break in batches. But this doesn’t happen often, usually it doesn’t.”

Luo Qianyun was curious. “Why this time?”

“Guess?” Lu Yunzheng’s voice had a hint of a smile.

Guess? She could barely think straight, her legs going weak from his kisses.

Lu Yunzheng wasn’t in a hurry; to him, Luo Qianyun was like a gift just for him, and he wanted to unwrap it layer by layer, then… devour it whole.

After a long, teasing kiss, it finally landed on her lips. Luo Qianyun passively accepted his kiss, her eyes becoming teary, with a seductive flush at the corners of her eyes.

“In the disaster area, I wanted to kiss you like this, but the place didn’t allow it.” Lu Yunzheng’s large hand wandered under her sleepwear, his kisses tracing along her smooth back.

Then he noticed, “Why aren’t you wearing anything?”

Luo Qianyun blushed. “I didn’t know you were home. Why can’t I not wear anything if I’m alone?”

“Even if I’m home, you don’t have to wear anything. After all, it all has to come off.” Lu Yunzheng’s words lingered in the air as he spoke.

Luo Qianyun was left speechless—Lu Yunzheng’s flirtations were never-ending.

Faintly, she heard Little Cloud calling from outside the room…

“Little Cloud is calling. Should we go check?” Though she was dizzy from the kisses, Luo Qianyun could still think.

Unfortunately, Lu Yunzheng wouldn’t allow her to leave now.

“I’ve added more dog food, water, snacks, and toys. If they disturb their parents now, how uncouth would that be?” Lu Yunzheng said as he quickly removed her clothes.

Lu Yunzheng took her hand and placed it on his abs. “Everything you like, I’ll give you.”

Though he said that, when Luo Qianyun touched his abs, his breathing immediately tightened.
