Chapter 69: A Lucky Encounter in the Restroom
Luo Qianyun opened the private room door. Seeing no one outside, she grabbed Lu Yunzheng ’s hand and pulled him out.
Quickly, the three of them made their way down the corridor, heading for the exit.
As they approached a corner, Luo Qianyun intended to go ahead to check the situation. However, Lu Yunzheng stopped her.
“Someone’s coming,” he whispered.
Startled, Luo Qianyun replied, “There’s no one…”
Before she could finish speaking, voices echoed from ahead.
“Let’s check over there.”
With no other options and noticing the restroom sign ahead, Lu Yunzheng spoke up, “To the restroom.”
The three of them dashed into the restrooms. Without hesitation, Luo Qianyun dragged Lu Yunzheng into the women’s restroom, while Xiao Zhou entered the men’s.
Only after realizing there was no one behind them did Luo Qianyun notice her mistake. She had accidentally gone into the wrong restroom, separating from Xiao Zhou.
But really, who could blame her? Women don’t instinctively run into men’s restrooms.
The two of them entered the last stall and locked the door.
Restroom stalls aren’t spacious to begin with. Now, squeezed together, Luo Qianyun was practically pressed against Lu Yunzheng .
“Don’t be scared,” Lu Yunzheng reassured her in a low voice.
“I’m not scared,” Luo Qianyun whispered back, though her pounding heartbeat might have suggested otherwise.
Soon, voices could be heard outside the restroom.
“Those two are men. Why would they come this way?”
“Who knows? Maybe they ran here on purpose.”
“Fair point…”
The sound of footsteps grew closer. The stall doors began opening and closing as someone checked them one by one.
“Anyone in here?”
Knock, knock.
“Hey, come out!”
Tension filled the air. Luo Qianyun instinctively glanced upward, fearing someone might peek over the top—a consequence of watching too many horror movies.
Thankfully, the bar’s stall partitions offered good privacy. Luo Qianyun figured unless it was a child, no one could peer over.
But she overlooked the fact that while the top was secure, the bottom was still visible.
Outside, a man crouched and peeked under.
“There are two people inside—a woman and a man.”
Immediately, another man knocked on the stall door.
“Buddy, open up. Relax, we won’t touch your girl.”
Luo Qianyun turned to Lu Yunzheng , silently asking, What do we do?
Lu Yunzheng shook his head slightly, then looked down at her…
“Hurry up and come out!”
“Yeah, make it quick.”
Just as Luo Qianyun felt she might faint from stress, she suddenly felt a light pinch on her waist. It wasn’t painful but startled her into letting out a soft, involuntary gasp.
The sound, high-pitched and breathy, was undeniably suggestive.
Outside the stall, the two men exchanged glances, assuming the couple inside was…busy.
Understanding dawned, and they backed off, deciding not to interrupt. They left the women’s restroom and entered the men’s.
There, they found the stalls empty—except for the last one.
“Damn, why is everyone doing it in the restroom these days?”
Looking at the mess of paper on the floor, one of them sneered, “How thrilling must it have been?”
The other chimed in, “I mean, thinking about it… It does seem exciting.”
“You think the couple we just saw are having the time of their lives?”
Hidden behind the last stall door, Xiao Zhou held his breath, doing his best to remain unnoticed. Luckily, the stall’s disarray made a quick glance sufficient for the men, who moved on without thorough inspection.
Meanwhile, Xiao Zhou, understanding the identity of the “couple,” quietly pulled out his mission phone. Their team phones vibrated softly enough to only be felt against the skin.
Feeling a slight buzz on his leg, Lu Yunzheng took out his phone and read Xiao Zhou’s message.
After seeing that the men planned to wait outside for them to “finish,” Lu Yunzheng frowned. He showed the message to Luo Qianyun, who also read it.
The absurdity of the situation rendered her speechless.
She couldn’t very well step out and explain they weren’t doing anything, could she?
Just then, one of the men outside, recalling what he saw earlier, spoke up.
“Wait a second… The shoes inside—they were facing each other.”
Luo Qianyun’s heart skipped a beat. She and Lu Yunzheng were standing face to face.
But if they were truly doing something… would their shoes be in such a position?
Though she lacked experience, Luo Qianyun had theoretical knowledge and understood this was unusual.
The footsteps outside grew closer.
Quickly, Luo Qianyun turned to reposition herself. Her face flushed crimson as she did so.
Moments later, one of the men crouched again and muttered, “Never mind. Looks fine. Guess I was mistaken.”
Still, the eerie quietness from the stall aroused suspicion.
Lu Yunzheng leaned toward Luo Qianyun’s ear.
“Help me act for a bit,” he whispered.
Luo Qianyun nodded without hesitation.
“Just ask me how much longer.”
“Got it,” she replied, voice barely audible.
Then Lu Yunzheng said softly, “Apologies in advance if this offends.”
Before she could comprehend his meaning, the “performance” began.
Barely prepared, Luo Qianyun stammered out, “How much… longer… ah…”
Caught off guard, her words faltered as she felt a sudden movement.
Her face turned scarlet as she braced herself to continue the act.
Through intermittent gasps and broken sentences, she managed to ask, “H-how much… longer?”
Her voice, coupled with feigned heavy breathing, painted a vivid picture to the men outside.
“Damn! What luck he’s got.”
They cursed under their breath, grumbling as they finally left.
