Lingquan Space: Fortunate Wife of a Farmer’s Family Chapter 181

Chapter 181: Harm

“How was it? How did it feel to be struck by the rattan cane? Back when you used a whip soaked in chili water to beat Xiao Yu, it was much more painful than this. Su Qin, Yang Shanshan, whether it’s Xiao Yu or Xiao Jiu, none of you have the right to interfere with them. Leave the matter of Xiao Jiu and Xiao Yu’s engagement to me. If anyone dares to meddle, it won’t be as simple as fifty strokes of the cane,” Su Long coldly spoke.

For years, he had been puzzled about why his eldest grandson was unwilling to marry. Now, it seemed that it wasn’t a matter of unwillingness but rather a heart already resigned.

“In the future, Xiao Jiu, your uncle and grandfather won’t pressure you anymore. You can get married whenever you want. Even if you don’t want to get married, there’s still Xiao Yu and Mingche,” Su Long walked to Su Jiu’s side, patting his shoulder reassuringly.

Su Jiu nodded, “Thank you, Uncle.”

No one wants to harbor hatred towards their parents, but they often do things that cause immense pain. What can be done in such situations?

“First, it was me, then my sister, and finally Xiao Yu. Are we your children, or are we merely pawns in your hands?” Su Jiu looked at Yang Shanshan and suddenly asked.

All eyes turned to Su Jiu, and someone exclaimed, “Xiao Jiu, what do you mean? Did she even make a move on Xuan xuan?”

Yang Shanshan kept shaking her head, “Please, stop.”

“Feng Zhen is being pressured by the Feng family to take concubines. Why do you think that is?” Su Jiu looked at Yang Shanshan mockingly.

Su Xi, who had just calmed down, suddenly flared up again, looking at Su Jiu, “Xiao Jiu, tell me what’s going on here?”

“Because after Xuan xuan gave birth to Ling’er, she couldn’t have any more children. Feng Zhen’s mother insisted he take concubines. But who would have thought that Xuan xuan had another child before giving birth to Ling’er? Yang Shanshan, how do you explain the disappearance of this child?” Su Jiu looked at Yang Shanshan, asking each word deliberately.

Yang Shanshan’s face turned pale as she stared at Su Jiu. How could he know everything? This shouldn’t be happening.

“Are you wondering how I know everything? Yang Shanshan, I know more than you think. Three children were born, and all three resent you. Don’t you feel like a failure?” Su Jiu mocked, looking at Yang Shanshan with sarcasm.

“Yang Shanshan, I warn both of you. If you interfere in Xiao Yu’s affairs again, I won’t hesitate to break all ties.” Su Jiu coldly stared at Yang Shanshan.

“Even if you thank the heavens, you’re not worthy to lift shoes for Xiao Yu. Don’t shove any garbage into Xiao Yu’s hands. You’ve ruined my life with Rou Rou. If you dare to make Xiao Yu unhappy in any way, both Xuan xuan and I won’t let you off.” In this moment, Yang Shanshan was not his mother; she was just a stranger filled with hatred.

Su Mingche frowned, looking at Yang Shanshan, unable to comprehend her motives. Was it amusing for her to harm her own son and daughter?

“Su Jiu, no matter what, she is still your mother, and you…” Su Qin, seeing his wife being spoken to like this by his son, tried to defend her.

“Mother? We treat her as a mother, but does she treat us as her children? Su Qin, and you too. You know what she has done, yet you say nothing and even help her in these things. You’re just as disgusting as she is,” Su Jiu looked at Su Qin with disdain. Now, he couldn’t stand to even look at both of them.

“Uncle, I have something to attend to. I’ll leave first,” Su Jiu said to Su Long.

“Alright.”

Watching Su Jiu leave, and thinking about what he had said, Su Long turned to Su Qin, “How does it feel to be loathed by your son? I never thought the two of you could be so heartless.”

Although Su Jiu didn’t clarify everything about Xuan xuan, Su Long had already guessed.

Su Xi sighed lightly and, after much consideration, spoke, “If you meddle in the affairs of the three children again, you’ll be expelled from the family.”

Having said that, he got up and left.

Su Mingche hurriedly followed Su Xi as he left. Grandfather didn’t seem quite right, and he needed to check on him.

There was also the matter here that he needed to inform Xiao Yu about.

“Mingche, if you have things to do, go ahead and attend to them. Don’t worry about me,” Su Xi looked at his grandson who followed him, smiled, and said, “Grandfather is fine; you don’t need to worry.”

“Grandfather, I have nothing to do now. I’ll stay here with you for a while,” Su Mingche insisted. Su Xi’s current state really seemed off.

“Alright.”

Su Mingche stayed with Su Xi for a long time. Seeing that his mood still didn’t improve, he spoke up, “Grandfather, do you want to take Uncle Zhong out for a stroll to relax?”

Su Xi considered it. Thinking about Su Qin and the others at home only irritated him. It might be better to go to his grandson’s place, especially with a great-grandson there.

“Okay, I’ll leave tomorrow.”

That night, Su Mingche wrote a letter to Su Yu, informing him about the situation here and letting him know that Su Xi would be coming to visit.

Su Yu’s brows furrowed slightly when he received Su Mingche’s letter.

Opening the letter and reading through it, disbelief, confusion, and anger flickered in his eyes as he dropped the letter to the ground.

While Wang Jinhe was discussing the wine matters with Qiuyi and the others, he turned and saw Su Yu standing there, with something like a letter on the ground.

He instructed the Qiuyi sisters to handle things and walked over to Su Yu, crouching down to pick up the letter from the ground.

After reading the contents, Wang Jinhe’s eyes were filled with astonishment.

Turning his head to look at Su Yu, he asked, “Are you okay?”

Su Yu shook his head gently, his voice somewhat hoarse. “I’m fine. Xiao He, let me be alone for a while.”

After spending so much time together, how could Wang Jinhe not know when Su Yu was angry?

He pulled Su Yu out, and Grandpa Wang  wondered aloud, “Why are these two kids in such a hurry?”

“I don’t know. Maybe there’s something they need to discuss,” Grandma Wang said, looking up at the backs of the departing pair with a puzzled expression.

Wang Jinhe took Su Yu to the place where he had rolled down the hill. It was a quiet little valley, a place where he could vent his frustration.

“I’ll go over there and check. Can I come find you later?” Wang Jinhe asked Su Yu.

Suddenly, Su Yu reached out and pulled Wang Jinhe into his arms, holding him tight. “Let me hold you for a while.”

Wang Jinhe extended her arms and embraced Su Yu, silently accompanying him.

After what seemed like a long time, Su Yu slowly released Wang Jinhe. “Xiao He, you can go now. Don’t venture deep into the mountains; just stay around here.”

“Okay,” Wang Jinhe responded and looked at Su Yu for a while before turning and leaving.

After Wang Jinhe left, Su Yu slammed his fist into a nearby tree.

A tree, as thick as a water bucket, was broken by Su Yu in his frenzy.

Su Yu vented his anger as if everything around him represented Yang Shanshan and the others.

Wang Jinhe didn’t go far; she stood not far away, watching Su Yu with a somewhat helpless expression.

Yang Shanshan was simply insane, harming her own son and daughter so ruthlessly. What was she aiming for?

When Su Yu’s outburst subsided, Wang Jinhe walked over. “Are you okay?”
