Jingchuan after seeing Wan Gu and others enter, noticed that all three of them were dressed in white robes, appearing mysterious and dignified. Jingchuan stood up, saluted Wan Gu and the others, expressing his gratitude.
“Thank you for saving me,” Jingchuan’s voice, although hoarse, was sincere.
The detoxification process was painful, unraveling the poison accumulated over more than twenty years. He had to endure it with his own strength.
For a full five hours, Jingchuan’s face turned pale from the pain, his lips were bitten and bleeding, and even the bedding was overturned as he clutched it tightly.
Watching him endure such pain without uttering a single cry made Wang Jinhe feel a sudden sense of admiration.
“My uncle is really amazing. I felt pain just watching from the side, yet he endured without screaming. I’m starting to admire him a bit,” such resilience was truly terrifying.
One Jingchuan, one Qingfeng.
If the two brothers joined forces, there would be no chance for the henchmen of the Yu family.
“Yeah, I heard from Wan Gu that this detoxification process is like scraping the flesh off the body with a knife. He can endure it on his own. Honestly, I’m really impressed.”
Earlier, Wang Jinhe had been thinking about whether she could endure it if it were her. However, she was uncertain and didn’t know if she could persist like Jingchuan.
After detoxification, Wan Gu wiped the sweat from his forehead. Seeing the exhaustion of the two, Wang Jinhe quickly went to pour water for them, secretly filling two cups with Lingquan Water.
“Madam… we’ll do it ourselves.” Wan Gu felt a bit panicked when he saw Wang Jinhe pouring water for them. They were afraid that if the Young Master found out, he might scold them later.
Both looked at Su Yu, waiting for his approval to drink.
“What are you looking at me for? This is what the Young Madam gave you.” Su Yu didn’t know how much they should drink, but he wasn’t petty enough to scold them over two cups of water.
Both murmured something softly, which Su Yu didn’t catch. However, seeing them drink the Lingquan Water, he felt reassured.
After drinking the water, Huang Qi couldn’t help but say, “The taste of this water is really good.”
Whether it was their imagination or not, after drinking this water, their bodies seemed much lighter.
Without much time to dwell on this matter, Su Yu spoke, “You’ve worked hard today. Go and rest for now.”
After everyone left, Su Yu and Wang Jinhe stood by the bed, looking at Jingchuan.
Wang Jinhe poured another cup of water and carefully fed it to Jingchuan.
This time, Jingchuan didn’t sleep for long. He woke up in the afternoon the next day, relieved to find out that the poison had been neutralized.
With no threat of toxins, Jingchuan was completely at ease.
“Little girl, when can I go see your father and the others?” He didn’t dare to think about whether it was a coincidence. What he was told by the Yu family was completely different.
“Uncle, there’s a saying: ‘Haste makes waste.’ You’ve waited for so many years; can’t you wait a few more days? If you appear in front of my grandfather like this, he will be very worried.”
Listening to Wang Jinhe’s words, Jingchuan finally realized his current state. If his dad found out, he would surely be worried.
Jingchuan’s recovery was remarkably strong. With the things Wang Jinhe provided, he quickly recuperated.
Wang Jinhe was discussing the matters of the Su family with Su Yu.
Seeing Jingchuan coming over, Wang Jinhe knew he couldn’t stay put. Despite controlling her curiosity, Jingchuan’s belief that his dad and brother were dead intrigued her.
Having Wan Gu check Jingchuan’s pulse, and knowing that he was in good condition now, she let Jingchuan leave with them.
On the way, Jingchuan was somewhat restless, worried that it might not be the people he wanted to see, or even worse, it might be his imagination.
However, after two days of travel, when they arrived at a small farmhouse, Jingchuan suddenly felt a bit uneasy.
“What’s wrong, Uncle? Are you afraid to see my dad and the others?” Wang Jinhe looked at him with curiosity.
“No.” He wasn’t afraid to go; he was just worried that he might be disappointed.
But since he was already here, he had to go and see.
It would be even better if his parents and siblings, and even his nephews, were still alive.
Getting off the carriage, Jingchuan looked around. This place was really nice. His parents should be living well here, right?
Wang Jinhe led the way inside, and Xiao Bao was playing in the courtyard with the others.
Hearing the sound, he looked over and, upon seeing Wang Jinhe and Su Yu returning, he ran over like a little cannonball, reaching out to hold them. “Mommy, you’re back.”
Daddy and Mommy had been gone for so many days, they were finally back.
Seeing Xiao Bao like this, Wang Jinhe’s eyes were full of tenderness. She reached out and rubbed Xiao Bao’s head. “Have you been good and obedient at home, listening to Grandma and the others?”
Xiao Bao nodded eagerly, “I’ve been obedient.”
“Xiao Bao is really good.” Wang Jinhe reached out and rubbed Xiao Bao’s head.
When Yu Bailin and the others saw Wang Jinhe return, they walked over. “Xiao He, you’re back? Is everything sorted out? I saw Xiao Yu went to find you early that day, as if there was something important to do.”
Wang Jinhe nodded, “It’s all settled.”
“As long as it’s settled.”
Wang Jinhe smiled and looked at Yue Bailin, asking, “Grandpa, don’t you want to know what we went to do?”
“Hmm? Does this matter concern us?”
“Of course, it does. Just wait for a moment.” Wang Jinhe handed Xiao Bao to Su Yu and walked to the door, bringing in the person with the veil standing outside.
In a voice only the two of them could hear, she said, “Uncle, go.”
Jingchuan’s body stiffened for a moment. He looked through the veil at the person standing there, his eyes filled with shock and joy.
His parents and siblings were really alive, living well.
His body trembled slightly, and he realized he wasn’t alone anymore.
Yu Bailin looked at the person Wang Jinhe brought in, and in the blink of an eye, his face changed. He quickly walked to the person, his hands trembling slightly, “You… you are…”
Could it be as he imagined?
Jingchuan reached out and removed the veil, looking at Yu Bailin.
The familiar face made Yu Bailin subconsciously take a step back. Then, he tightly hugged Jingchuan, “Ah Chuan… you are really Ah Chuan.”
The old lady stumbled over, almost falling when she approached Jingchuan. Seeing this, Jingchuan quickly supported her.
The old lady reached out and touched Jingchuan’s face, “Ah Chuan, it’s really you. You’re really alive.”
“Mom, I’m alive. The unfilial son has come to see you.”
Yu Bailin turned to look at Su Yu, his voice trembling, “Xiao Yu, this…”
“He was found by Wan Feng and the others. We came this time because we found Uncle.” Su Yu didn’t mention the injuries on him.
Hearing the voices outside, Yu Qingfeng, who was reading the letter inside, walked out in confusion. When he saw Jingchuan standing there, it was as if thunder had struck on a clear day.
Big brother…
Big brother was really alive.
