Qiming stared sharply at the divine healer Lou Xi. “Lou Xi, do you think that being a divine healer makes me afraid to act against you?”
The divine healer Lou Xi turned to look at Qiming, as if he was ready to act at any moment, and suddenly smiled. “Prince Qi, feel free to do as you wish.”
Qiming was surprised to find that Lou Xi seemed completely unconcerned. “Where is Xing Qian?”
“I don’t know,” Lou Xi glanced at Qiming and then closed his eyes, ignoring him.
Seeing Lou Xi’s indifference, Qiming was infuriated. He hadn’t expected Lou Xi to be so indifferent.
“You don’t care about your own life. Do you also not care about the lives of your disciples?” Qiming said coldly.
Lou Xi remained silent, as if what Qiming said had nothing to do with him.
“Lou Xi…”
“Prince Qi, as a prince of Qi Country, you come to Xuan Country without notice and make threats. What kind of reasoning is this?” Lou Xi looked at Qiming coldly and spoke in a deep voice.
Since becoming a divine healer, Lou Xi had received many visitors from various countries, including those of high status like Prince Qi, but none had threatened him like Prince Qi.
Qiming stared coldly at Lou Xi and suddenly held a sword to his neck.
Lou Xi glanced at the sword at his neck, a mocking smile on his lips. “Prince Qi, you can’t kill me like this.”
Qiming could hear the strong disdain in Lou Xi’s hoarse voice. He frowned instinctively at Lou Xi’s fearless demeanor.
Where did Lou Xi get this confidence? Why did he think Qiming wouldn’t dare to act?
Seeing that Qiming still hadn’t made a move, Lou Xi leaned closer to the blade at his neck.
Proudly, he looked at Qiming. “Prince Qi, try to harm me today and see if you can survive the next three months.”
According to the poison administered by his disciple, Qiming could only survive for another three to four months at most. Once that time was up, Qiming would meet his end.
Qiming detested being threatened. “You think I won’t dare?”
“Then go ahead and try,” Lou Xi said, smiling indifferently at Qiming.
It seemed that life and death were not important to him.
“You…”
As the two argued, several disciples who were with Lou Xi arrived. Seeing Qiming pointing a sword at their master, their expressions changed drastically. “What are you doing? Let go of our master!”
“Where is Xing Qian?” Qiming ignored them and asked coldly.
“I don’t know,” they all said in unison.
Qiming was gradually losing patience with them.
“Let me ask you one last time, where is Xing Qian? If you don’t tell me, you’ll face the consequences,” Qiming said, his gaze icy as he looked at them.
Lou Xi stepped closer to Qiming. “Go ahead, Prince Qi. Don’t just talk, act.”
Qiming took a step back. He could threaten Lou Xi, but he couldn’t actually harm him. Lou Xi’s status was too special. He was a guest of honor in many countries, and many people owed him favors. If Qiming acted, it would only bring trouble to Qi Empire.
Bringing trouble to Qi Empire was a minor issue. The most important thing was himself. If his good father, the emperor, found out that he had offended Lou Xi, he knew what his fate would be.
Lou Xi’s disciples looked at Qiming’s hesitant expression and immediately understood that Qiming didn’t dare to do anything.
“I just want to know where Xing Qian is. As soon as you tell me, I’ll leave,” Qiming said frankly, looking at them.
Lou Xi shook his head with a smile. “I’ve already said I don’t know. If you want him to detoxify you, find him yourself.”
“No, our junior brother has been gone for several years and rarely comes back. He also rarely contacts us. The last time we heard from him was two years ago, and no one knows where he is now,” Lou Xi’s eldest disciple said with a serious expression.
Qiming looked at their earnest expressions and felt that they were not lying.
“Sorry for the trouble,” Qiming sheathed his sword and turned to leave.
Lou Xi touched his neck and smiled faintly.
“What does Prince Qiming want to do?” asked Xing Qian’s senior brother with a strange expression.
“He’s poisoned and wants Ah Qian to detoxify him.”
Xing Qian’s senior brother looked at Lou Xi with a puzzled expression. “But, Master, didn’t you say that Qiming’s poison…”
Lou Xi nodded. The poison was indeed administered by Xing Qian, but why he had poisoned Qiming was unknown.
“Shouldn’t you inform our junior brother?”
“No need.”
Contacting Xing Qian at this time would only lead Qiming to him.
At the foot of the mountain, Qiming looked up at the house that was faintly visible on the mountain and said coldly, “Keep an eye on them.”
“Yes.”
“Is it true that Lou Xi and his disciples really don’t know where Xing Qian is?” asked Qiming’s subordinate.
“They all know.” Xing Qian was Lou Xi’s most beloved disciple and the favorite junior brother of Lou Xi’s other disciples. How could they not be in contact with Xing Qian? Their claim was just to make him back off.
Qiming’s subordinate frowned. “Then do they also know who made this poison?”
“Who knows? Go find Xing Qian. Also, have they found out where he is?” Qiming’s voice contained a hint of anger when he mentioned Xing Qian.
“We have found him.”
“Let’s go.”
After Qiming left, Lou Xi and his disciples knew.
“Master, as you guessed, Qiming has indeed left someone to monitor us.” If they contacted Xing Qian now, they would surely be discovered.
However, Lou Xi mysteriously smiled and walked to the back of the house, where there were not only carrier pigeons but also a messenger hawk, which was the messenger hawk in the hands of Su Yu.
After Xing Qian sent the message back, he didn’t let the messenger hawk return. Now it came in handy.
Lou Xi wrote a letter to Xing Qian and placed it under the wing of the messenger hawk. He then patted its head. “Lightning, take the message back. There are people watching outside. Be careful not to be discovered.”
Lightning shook its head and flew low into the deep mountains before quickly ascending. Qiming’s men did not notice any of this.
After ascending into the sky, Lightning swiftly flew away, as if it had never appeared.
Lou Xi’s eldest disciple approached him from behind. “Master, how did Ah Qian find such a messenger hawk? It’s amazing.”
“This is from Su Yu. Let’s see what Ah Qian does next.” Xing Qian had a rebellious personality, but he respected his master very much.
He knew that Qiming was threatening him, but he didn’t know what the consequences would be.
“I wonder what they feed the messenger hawk. It’s so intelligent.”
Lou Xi stroked his beard and smiled without saying a word. This question should be directed to the Lady Changning.
After receiving Lou Xi’s letter, Wan Gu’s face turned very ugly. He crumpled the letter in his hand with force.
It seemed that merely poisoning Qiming was not enough to make him obedient.
He dropped the crumpled letter and sat down in front of the mirror. Looking at his reflection, Wan Gu opened his medicine box and applied something from it to his face.
When Wangu walked out and met Wang Jinhe, she frowned at him. “Who are you? Why are you in my house?”
