Lingquan Space: Fortunate Wife of a Farmer’s Family Chapter 450

Chapter 450: I Want Your Life

Lightning let out a discontented eagle cry. Was its master underestimating it? It was the smartest eagle now, not like those foolish creatures.

Observing Lightning’s discontent, Su Yu smiled and reached out to stroke its feathers. “I know you’re amazing. I’ll get you some delicious food when you return.”

At the mention of delicious food, Lightning immediately flew off Su Yu’s arm, circled in the air twice, and then departed.

In the town’s tavern, Qiming had been waiting for news. Since the day he went to Su Yu’s house, there had been no word.

“Prince, he hasn’t been found.”

“Not found? Has he been captured by Su Yu?” Only being captured by Su Yu could explain why he suddenly couldn’t be found.

The subordinates remained silent, bowing respectfully and refraining from saying more.

Originally, Qiming had planned to wait for news before going to see Su Yu, but it seemed he couldn’t wait any longer.

“Get ready. We’ll go see Su Yu tomorrow.” It had only been a few years, but Su Yu had become so heartless. This change was difficult for him to accept.

“Yes.”

The next morning, Qiming went to Su Yu’s house again with his men. Su Yu wasn’t surprised when he arrived.

Leaning against the doorway, Wan Gu watched Su Yu discussing matters with Yuan Bao and the others. After they finished, he spoke up, “The men are waiting outside. Do you intend to keep them waiting like this?”

Su Yu smiled silently. “It’s not the right time yet.”

This simple explanation made Wan Gu realize that Su Yu didn’t want to see anyone.

Usually, when he said such things, it meant he was planning something, and the other party was bound to be unlucky.

Wang Jinhe was unaware of Qiming’s arrival. She was preparing to go to the rice fields with Yuan Xu. As they opened the door, they saw Qiming and his men standing at the entrance, looking somewhat impatient.

Hearing the door open, Qiming thought it was Su Yu, but to his surprise, it was Wang Jinhe.

Her appearance wiped the smile off Qiming’s face, and his tone turned cold as he asked, “Where is Su Yu?”

As if she hadn’t heard his question, Wang Jinhe left with her people.

Her disrespect angered Qiming. “Stop right there.”

Upon hearing Qiming’s reprimand, Wang Jinhe disdainfully smiled. Did this man really think everyone would bow to him as if this place were Qi Empire?

“Qiming, if you want to show off your power, go back to your Qi Empire. This is Xuan Empire, not your Qi Empire.” Wang Jinhe Said

“I am an imperial Princess of Xuan Empire, with the same status as you. You have no right to speak to me like this.” Who did she think he was, speaking in such a haughty manner? Did he believe that everyone in Xuan Empire had to listen to him?

Qiming’s face darkened as he looked at Wang Jinhe. “You have a lot of nerve.”

Ever since she learned about what Qiming had done to Su Yu, she had no favorable impression of him. Now, hearing Qiming’s words, she looked at him with disdain.

“My nerve is indeed quite strong, but what does that have to do with you?” Wang Jinhe raised her eyes and asked coldly.

This was the first time Qiming had been treated this way by a woman. He looked at Wang Jinhe coldly, about to make a move, but was stopped by someone.

“What do you want to do to our madam?” Yuan Xu stood in front of Wang Jinhe, angrily reprimanding.

Qiming sneered and gestured for his men to take action.

As Qiming’s men moved, Su Yu, who had already learned about the situation outside, immediately set aside the account book and stood up. While Yuan Xu was being held back, and Qiming was about to personally attack Wang Jinhe, Su Yu suddenly appeared in front of her, blocking Qiming’s attack.

Seeing Su Yu’s sudden appearance, Qiming’s face turned extremely ugly. He looked at Wang Jinhe. “You dared to plot against me? If it wasn’t for Wang Jinhe’s scheming, why would Su Yu suddenly appear here when I was about to attack?”

However, Wang Jinhe looked at Qiming as if he were a fool. What was wrong with this man’s brain? Was he really that obtuse?

“You seem to have delusional disorder. It’s an illness, and Wan Gu happens to be skilled in medicine. After all, he is a prince of Qi Empire. Why don’t you reluctantly take a look at him?” Wang Jinhe said somewhat sarcastically to Qiming.

Upon hearing Wang Jinhe’s words, Wan Gu smirked and glanced at Qiming, then pretended to be interested. “Who could have done such a remarkable thing?”

Wang Jinhe rolled her eyes at Wan Gu’s exaggerated reaction, feeling exasperated.

“You’re still alive, it’s quite a feat,” Wan Gu said playfully.

Wang Jinhe knew exactly what Wan Gu was implying, so she naturally played along.

“Wan Gu,Is there something wrong with him?” Wang Jinhe pretended to be curious.

Wan Gu nodded knowingly. “Madam, he is poisoned, and it seems quite severe. It’s an amusing kind of poison. It’s about to take effect, isn’t it? It will be excruciating when it does.” Wan Gu shook his head and spoke in a playful manner, leaving Su Yu somewhat bemused.

Did this rascal even know what he was saying?

“Alright, Wan Gu, he is the Prince of Qi Empire. How could he be in the situation you described? You must have made a mistake,” Su Yu said with a furrowed brow and a stern face.

Watching his master’s twitching lips, Wan Gu nodded earnestly. Then, he looked at Qiming seriously and muttered, “I’m sure I didn’t make a mistake. The poison will take effect in at most three days.”

Su Yu rubbed his forehead. This guy was always trying to stir up trouble, and now he was saying anything that came to mind.

“Enough, Wan Gu. Whether he’s poisoned or about to be poisoned, it’s none of our concern,” Su Yu said, frowning.

“Can you cure the poison?” Qiming ignored Su Yu’s words and looked at Wan Gu.

He had consulted many doctors, but Wan Gu was the first to identify his poisoning at a glance, even predicting when it would take effect.

Wan Gu looked Qiming up and down. “Even if I can cure the poison, what does it have to do with you?”

Wang Jinhe chuckled as she watched Wan Gu. This man really held a grudge.

“I can give you anything you want if you cure the poison,” Qiming said earnestly, feeling somewhat excited.

Wan Gu looked at Qiming with a mischievous glint in his eyes and said, “Oh? You can give me anything? How about your life?”

Qiming’s expression changed, and he looked at Wan Gu with a somewhat darkened face. “Don’t push your luck.”

“It’s a pity. I’m not very interested in anything else, just your life. How about that as an exchange?” Wan Gu continued, still with a playful tone.

“If you agree, it seems I don’t need to cure you. After all, if you don’t value your own life, it’s not really my concern whether I cure you or not,” Wan Gu mused, stroking his chin.

Is this guy trying to provoke Qiming? What kind of talk is this?

“Enough, Wan Gu. He is a prince,” Su Yu interjected.
