After giving Wan Gu a firm look, Su Yu’s eyes remained resolute despite Wan Gu’s reluctance, causing Wan Gu to extinguish the spice with an unhappy expression.
While the substance could indeed trigger his poisoning, once the fragrance dissipated after the spice was extinguished, it would be rendered useless.
Observing Wan Gu standing by with a sulky expression, Su Yu shook his head helplessly. Did this kid have to be so stubborn?
As the fragrance dissipated, Qiming finally felt some relief, but it also heightened his suspicion of Wan Gu’s actions.
This person seemed to have an in-depth understanding of this poison, especially the fragrance that triggered his poisoning. Was it all just a coincidence if it wasn’t deliberately crafted?
Clutching his chest, Qiming looked at Wan Gu with a somewhat icy gaze.
Impatiently, Wan Gu looked at Qiming. “What are you looking at?”
“Why are you able to create such a fragrance? Did you poison me?” Qiming questioned again.
“You bullied our young master and madam. The first time I saw you, I knew you were poisoned. Is there a problem with me making this fragrance to avenge our young master and madam?” Wan Gu said unapologetically, looking at Qiming without any courtesy.
Feeling upset by Su Yu’s actions, Wan Gu’s mood was already sour, and now Qiming’s questioning only made it worse.
Wan Gu’s words seemed to have no issues at all, but Qiming couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off.
With a smile in his eyes, Su Yu thought, even if Qiming suspected, what could he do without evidence?
“Qiming, you are in Xuan Empire. I won’t take your life. Now, leave,” Su Yu said. After he clarified everything, it would be time for Qiming to die.
However, Qiming paid no attention to Su Yu at this moment and instead looked at Wan Gu. “Detoxify me.”
He had thought that he needed to find Xing Qian to detoxify, but unexpectedly, he found the person he needed right here with Su Yu, without any effort. Naturally, he spoke with a commanding tone, which made Wan Gu very unhappy.
“I won’t detoxify you.”
“You’re asking for death.”
Wan Gu toyed with the spice in his hand and looked at Qiming with a smirk. “Who do you think is asking for death?”
How could Qiming be so arrogant when seeking detoxification while being poisoned? He was really overestimating himself.
“Don’t forget, Qiming, you are now in need of my help,” Wan Gu said with an exceptionally arrogant smile.
Wang Jinhe looked at Wan Gu in surprise. He was being quite arrogant. He was the prince of Qi Empire. Was it appropriate for him to speak to someone like this?
Looking at Su Yu, she saw that he seemed indifferent to Wan Gu’s disdain for Qiming.
“Su Yu…”
“Xiao He, didn’t you say you were going to the paddy fields? Go and attend to your tasks. Wan Gu and I are enough here,” Su Yu said to Wang Jinhe, turning her in the direction of her duties.
He then instructed Yuan Xu, “Yuan Xu, protect Xiao He.”
“Yes.”
Feeling somewhat helpless at being urged by Su Yu to leave, Wang Jinhe could only depart with Yuan Xu.
After Wang Jinhe left, the serene smile on Su Yu’s face vanished, and he suddenly made a move to break Qiming’s arm.
As he watched Qiming grimace in pain, a hint of satisfaction flashed through Su Yu’s heart. It reminded him of when his own hands were crippled. The excruciating pain had been so intense that he couldn’t even scream.
Now, he hadn’t crippled Qiming, just broken his hand.
“Su Yu…” Qiming’s pained and gritted voice sounded in Su Yu’s ear. Su Yu looked at him coldly, his eyes filled with mockery.
“I haven’t killed you not because I don’t dare, but because the time hasn’t come yet. After I clarify everything, I will personally take your life, and your hands will be the interest,” Su Yu whispered to Qiming.
Enduring the excruciating pain, Qiming, with red eyes, looked at Su Yu with anger. “Su Yu, I should have let them take your life directly, instead of torturing you.”
He regretted it. Those who couldn’t be of use to him should have been eliminated directly, rather than allowing them to grow and eventually become a threat.
“Well, I am truly grateful for your grace of not killing me,” Su Yu said coldly to Qiming.
He knew that Qiming’s words were genuine, and he truly intended to harm him.
Qiming’s hidden guards suddenly made a move, intending to kill Su Yu when everyone’s attention was on Qiming.
But when they approached Su Yu, they couldn’t move a single step closer.
The assailant who attacked Su Yu looked incredulous, staring at Su Yu with widened eyes.
How could he release internal force? And at such a young age? How could he have reached such a level?
As the assailant was about to attack Su Yu, he was sent flying and crashed heavily to the ground before anyone could see what he was doing.
Qiming looked somewhat disappointed that Su Yu wasn’t killed.
Seeing Qiming’s disappointed expression, Su Yu knew it was his doing. He probably decided to act directly since they couldn’t come to an understanding.
“Wanted to take my life? Too bad the person you found wasn’t up to the task,” Su Yu said softly to Qiming.
“Qiming, since you also came and got out of Forget Worry City, you should know that people who come out of there are always on guard. Sending someone to kill me? What were you thinking?” Su Yu took the opportunity to mock Qiming.
Wan Gu slapped his own forehead and looked at Su Yu in disbelief. Had the young master forgotten the situation? What was he thinking, being friendly with his enemy?
“Do you really think you can be arrogant forever, Su Yu?” Qiming said through gritted teeth.
“How long I can be arrogant is my business, but you probably won’t be around to see it,” Su Yu retorted.
“Yuan Bao, have someone send him back to Qi Empire. Tell them not to come to Xuan Empire unless it’s necessary, and even then, they must first seek permission from our emperor,” Su Yu ordered.
“Yes.”
As Yuan Bao walked towards Qiming, he accidentally stepped on Qiming’s leg, causing him to grunt in pain. Su Yu’s mouth twitched a few times upon seeing this.
Yuan Bao could be so childish at times.
“You’d better kill me, Su Yu, or I won’t let you off,” Qiming said angrily.
Frowning at Qiming, Su Yu was caught in a dilemma. Killing him would be easy, but now he couldn’t. That was what troubled Su Yu the most.
Seeing Su Yu’s dilemma, Wan Gu spoke up, “Young Master, I have a medicine that can make him forget about coming to Xuan Empire.”
Wan Gu could confidently say this in front of Qiming. He was absolutely certain.
“Use it.”
“Get rid of everyone who knows about this,” Su Yu ordered.
“Yes.” Upon hearing Su Yu’s command, the hidden guards around Su Yu vanished instantly, leaving his side.
Qiming’s expression became extremely complex upon hearing Su Yu’s order.
When did he become like this? Could the impact of knowing about this matter really be that significant?
“Su Yu…”
