As soon as Su Yu went out, he saw Yuan Bao hurrying over, looking somewhat serious.
“You might need to return to the Forget Sorrow City, young master,” Yuan Bao said, sounding worried.
“Why?” There were people managing things in the Forget Sorrow City, so why did he need to go back?
“People over there know that you are here and want to come find you. If you don’t go back soon, those few guys might show up,” Yuan Bao explained. He wasn’t concerned about the others, but those few individuals who had been subdued by the young master’s strength were beyond anyone’s control in the Forget Sorrow City. If they wanted to come out, no one could stop them.
Su Yu rubbed his forehead, feeling a sense of doubt. Why did he take over the Forget Sorrow City in the first place?
“It seems I’ve brought trouble upon myself,” Su Yu said, feeling somewhat irritated and frowning.
Hearing Su Yu’s words, Yuan Bao looked at him with a smile. “Didn’t the young master know there would be a lot of trouble when taking over?”
Now, he was complaining about the Forget Sorrow City. Wasn’t it a bit too late for that?
“Get ready. We’ll leave soon. Did you wake up Xiao Bao?” Su Yu asked. He needed to inform his son before leaving; otherwise, what if his son got upset?
“Xiao Master has been practicing martial arts for half an hour already,” implying that Xiao Bao had woken up late that day.
“I’ll go check on Xiao Bao.”
Xiao Bao looked somewhat unhappy when he saw Su Yu approaching, pouting and frowning as he asked, “Daddy, are you leaving?”
Su Yu was surprised by Xiao Bao’s question. How did he know?
“Daddy, I heard you talking to Uncle Yuan Bao,” Xiao Bao said, sounding displeased.
“Daddy has some things to take care of and must go for a while. I’ll come back once everything is done, okay?” Su Yu looked at Xiao Bao and asked earnestly.
Xiao Bao frowned and remained silent for a while before speaking, “Will you be gone for a long time like last year?”
Su Yu shook his head with a smile. “Last time, I went for training, so it took longer. This time, I’m going to handle some matters. Once they are resolved, I’ll come back. It won’t be like last year, where I was gone for almost half a year.”
Upon hearing Su Yu’s assurance, Xiao Bao reluctantly nodded. “Okay, but you can’t lie to me, or I won’t talk to you.”
“Okay.”
After giving some instructions to the children for their martial arts practice, Su Yu left to find Wang Jinhe.
Wang Jinhe woke up after a while in the room.
Looking around in confusion, she realized that Su Yu had managed to put her to sleep.
This realization left Wang Jinhe feeling embarrassed.
As Su Yu approached, he spoke before Wang Jinhe could say anything. “Xiao He, I need to make a trip back to the Forget Sorrow City.”
Wang Jinhe was taken aback and looked at Su Yu in surprise. “Why do you need to go back?”
She knew that the Forget Sorrow City was not a good place, and she didn’t want Su Yu to return.
“There are a few guys in the Forget Sorrow City who are not behaving, and if I don’t go back, they might come looking for me,” Su Yu said, frowning.
He felt that upon returning, he could cause trouble for those few guys.
If they dared to cause trouble for him, he would see how they would handle it when he returned.
Seeing the dangerous look on Su Yu’s face, Wang Jinhe didn’t need to guess what he was thinking. “There must be a reason why they want to come out. It’s a desolate city, and there’s nothing interesting inside. If they get bored, they will naturally want to come out. When you go back, ask for their opinions. If they are willing, let them come out for a change. Don’t keep them always confined in the Forget Sorrow City.”
It was all about fighting and killing in the Forget Sorrow City. What was the point?
Su Yu was taken aback. He hadn’t thought about this issue, but Wang Jinhe was right. Their actions were simply because there was nothing interesting there. This time, he would give them something to do, and once they were occupied, they wouldn’t clamor to come out.
“Have you talked to Xiao Bao about this?” Wang Jinhe asked again when Su Yu remained silent.
Su Yu nodded. “I spoke to Xiao Bao before coming to find you.”
“Alright, then. You should go. The sooner you leave, the sooner you’ll be back. Xiao Bao and I will be waiting for you at home.” Wang Jinhe knew that Su Yu wouldn’t stay just because she asked him to, and she wouldn’t do that either.
They were both independent individuals, each with their own things to do. What was the point of her trying to stop him?
“You know that if you ask, I’ll stay,” but this girl never did such things.
Wang Jinhe looked at Su Yu strangely and after a while, she said, “I know what you want to say, but that’s not my style.”
“Sometimes, I wish you wouldn’t be so clear-headed and rational,” he sai, couldn’t she be a little unreasonable? Did she have to make herself so sensible?
Wang Jinhe gave Su Yu a look and said, “Am I not rational?”
“Not that you’re not, but sometimes I wonder if you really love me,” Su Yu said.
In response, several pillows were thrown at him.
Su Yu quickly dodged them. “Xiao He, what are you doing? We can’t do things that manipulate emotions.”
“Go on, then,” Wang Jinhe said, feeling exasperated. Su Yu had the ability to know how to provoke her.
This jerk.
Su Yu cleared his throat and shamelessly approached her. “I’m sorry. Don’t be angry.”
“Hmph,” was Wang Jinhe’s cold response.
“I’m leaving. Don’t tire yourself out at home. I’ll take Yuan Bao with me and leave Yuan Xu here. If there’s anything, let Yuan Xu and Qi Feng handle it. You don’t have to do everything yourself,” Su Yu rambled on while hugging Wang Jinhe, leaving her feeling overwhelmed.
“You can go now,” Wang Jinhe said with a stern face.
If he didn’t leave soon, she would be really annoyed.
“Are you still trying to get rid of me?”
“It’s good that you know. Take care on the way,” Wang Jinhe said.
Su Yu nodded, kissed Wang Jinhe, and then left.
After Su Yu left, Wang Jinhe also got up to work.
In the study, she drew up the plans for the school and the workshop.
Looking at the plans for the two large courtyards, Wang Jinhe’s lips curved slightly. The school should be ready by the time Su Yu returns, right? She was really looking forward to it.
Wang Jinhe, accompanied by Yuan Xu, took the plans to find the uncle who was building the houses.
“Uncle, are you at home?” Wang Jinhe stood at the door and knocked gently.
Hearing the familiar voice, the uncle came out of the house and was surprised to see Wang Jinhe. “What’s wrong, uncle?” he asked.
The uncle, who was only in his forties, had unexpectedly turned completely gray. He didn’t look like this the last time she saw him.
With a bitter smile, the uncle said, “The business introduced by you and the villagers of Xie Family Village has been doing well. However, we have offended some people. They have been causing trouble for us, trying to snatch away the projects we take on. It’s not a problem for me, but I have so many people under me. I can’t let them have nothing to do.”
