Perhaps she would even cause trouble for Gu Sheng.

After leaving the shop, Gu Yanqi took the property deeds and house deeds to the Royal Mansion.

So, a couple of days ago, she handed me the property deeds, house deeds, and dowry documents.” Gu Yanqi explained to Wang Jinhe.
Wang Jinhe furrowed her brow as she looked at Gu Yanqi, wondering what he intended to say next.
“Mother said that her dowry should be split between us, but today I gave in to Gu Xiruo out of embarrassment. Some matters will soon spread throughout the entire capital city. After Mother’s funeral, she will likely join forces with Gu Sheng against me. It’s best for these items to be in your possession, and Uncle will agree,” Gu Yanqi explained to Wang Jinhe.
“I know you resent them and that Mother’s actions were wrong. After Gu Sheng admitted he knew you were their biological daughter, Mother regretted her choices. She understood that you had lost all hope in them and didn’t dare to ask for anything.” Gu Yanqi felt a pang of discomfort as he recalled his mother’s final words.
Wang Jinhe’s expression was complex, unsure of what to say at that moment.
“If you don’t want them, it’s fine. Just help me keep them safe for now. After I deal with Gu Xiruo later, you can return them to me. I don’t want Mother’s belongings to end up with her. Even Uncle wouldn’t agree. He has never liked Gu Xiruo since she was young, and he even forbade her from visiting the Chen family,” Gu Yanqi shared with Wang Jinhe, unsure why he was revealing all this to her.
He decided to speak his mind.
After a moment of silence, Wang Jinhe nodded and said, “I can help you keep these items safe. Remember to come back for them later.”

Wang Jinhe nodded as she watched Gu Yanqi leave.
Later, as she examined the items, she sighed softly. Thinking of something, she instructed Yuan Xu beside her, “Go find Nan Qiao and get a few antidote pills to give to Gu Yanqi. Gu Xiruo has too many strange poisons in her possession. It’s better to be prepared.”
“Understood.”

Chen Lan nodded. “I understand. Your mother…”

Chen Lan looked at his nephew and sighed softly, patting his shoulder. “As long as you know what you’re doing. If you need anything, just let me know. My sister won’t be bullied by them.”
To do such a thing for an adopted daughter was simply a huge joke.
“I will handle the Gu family’s affairs myself in the future. If he wants to give everything to Gu Xiruo and make her the head of the family, then I will make sure they have nothing,” Gu Yanqi said ruthlessly.
Chen Lan nodded in satisfaction. “As long as you know what you’re doing.”
“I’ll stay here to watch over. Take a good rest, and we’ll endure what’s to come,” Chen Lan said, looking at him.
