Yu Jingchuan had observed countless people, so how could he not see through this person’s intentions?
Yu Jingchuan looked meaningfully at the patriarch of the Yu family, “If I present evidence, are you planning to offer your life in atonement?”
His words were so resolute that even those beside Yu Baiya couldn’t help but feel a bit afraid.
“So many years have passed, and the dead cannot be brought back to life. Many have already been buried with your wife and children over these years. Aren’t you satisfied?” The patriarch of the Yu family began to divert the conversation.
Rather than answering Yu Jingchuan’s question, he continued to blame him.
Yu Jingchuan realized that these people were speaking nonsense, and he shouldn’t waste any more time with them.
He walked towards Yu Baiya, regardless of their seniority, grabbed him, and took action.
“Should we intervene, Master?” Yu Shan approached respectfully and inquired.
Only they knew how the Master had endured these years.
Every night, he would have nightmares, where his deceased wife and son met tragic ends.
The Master would wake up from these nightmares every day.
Have the members of the Yu family experienced this?
No, none of them have experienced it.
“Yes, not a single person on the list will be spared,” Yu Jingchuan nodded. His main targets were Yu Baiya and the ancestor. As for the rest, he could leave them to Yu Shan and the others.
“Yes.”
Yu Baiya and the ancestor of the Yu family suddenly had a bad feeling, sensing that Yu Jingchuan possessed information unknown to them.
Soon, their suspicions were confirmed.
Yu Shan brought in many individuals who had collaborated with Yu Baiya in the past, following the orders of the patriarch, resulting in the death of Yu Jingchuan’s wife and son.
Among them were also those who had schemed against Yu Qingfeng’s family later on.
Yu Qingfeng looked at one of the individuals, then walked over and stepped on the person’s hand.
As he watched the person’s painful screams, Yu Qingfeng remained expressionless.
Seemingly unfazed, Yu Qingfeng appeared indifferent.
The entire Yu family could make someone vanish in an instant if they so desired.
“Does it hurt?” Yu Qingfeng coldly inquired, looking at the person on the ground.
“Yu Qingfeng, release me! Who do you think you are to treat me like this? You’re just a worthless cur from a doomed family!” The pain triggered the person’s nerves, leading him to lash out at Yu Qingfeng.
Yu Qingfeng turned to Wang Jinhe, asking, “What does he mean by ‘Who do you think you are?'”
“My father is naturally the father of the county lord, the father-in-law of the prince, and also the heir to the Marquis’s estate,” Wang Jinhe explained with a smile, clarifying things for the Yu family members.
They understood the meaning of the first two titles, but what did it mean to be the heir to the Marquis’s estate?
“The heir to the Marquis’s estate? Yu Qingfeng, worthy of that title?” The person whose hand Yu Qingfeng was stepping on struggled to speak.
Why should he be considered the heir to a Marquis’s estate? He was unwilling to accept it.
Observing the person’s discontent, Wang Jinhe stroked his chin, “Unwilling, I see? It’s a pity. This title was bestowed by the late Emperor, but Grandfather declined the Marquis title. However, the late Emperor highly esteemed Grandfather and refused to retract the decree, leaving it in place until now.”
The patriarch of the Yu family turned to Yu Qingfeng, “Is this all true?”
Ignoring the patriarch, Yu Qingfeng looked at the person on the ground and kicked him away.
He then walked over and kicked the person back.
This back-and-forth continued several times, causing Wang Jinhe to feel uneasy.
What was his father doing? Engaging in such actions would surely invite criticism.
However…
Seeing the expressionless face of Yu Qingfeng, Wang Jinhe couldn’t help but feel helpless.
Well, perhaps his father was just letting out some pent-up frustration from all these years. It wasn’t that big of a deal after all.
With these thoughts in mind, Wang Jinhe stood by calmly, watching the scene unfold.
“Stop.”
Yu Jingchuan let go of Yu Baiya, who appeared like a rag, and turned to look at the person who still seemed oblivious to reality.
The Ancestor, upon seeing Yu Jingchuan approach, instinctively became wary, “What… what do you intend to do?”
“Don’t worry, you’re quite old. I won’t harm you. However, your grandson will have to make amends for his father’s debts,” Yu Jingchuan remarked.
“Yu Shan, take Yu Baiya back.”
“Understood.”
How could Yu Baiya possibly go back with them?
“Yu Jingchuan, dare to touch me and see what happens? They won’t spare you,” Yu Baiya laughed mockingly.
“Do you think your current power can contend with those people? It’s pure delusion. If you cooperate, you might live. Otherwise, you’ll meet your deceased wife and child soon,” Yu Baiya sneered.
“Back then, if you had agreed, things wouldn’t have escalated to this point. Not only you, even your wife and child were fools. If they had agreed to deal with you, they would have been spared. But even in their tragic deaths, they refused to betray or harm you. Your luck truly is something,” Yu Baiya said with a menacing expression.
With things having reached this point, Yu Baiya no longer wanted to conceal anything.
If this continued, he would end up dead at Yu Jingchuan’s hands.
Yu Jingchuan calmly watched Yu Baiya, observing how he was inviting his own demise.
Wang Jinhe raised a hand to touch his forehead, suddenly sensing that this person didn’t appear very intelligent.
“Father, do you think he might be mentally disturbed?” Wang Jinhe pointed to his forehead, frowning.
It seemed impossible for someone to say such things unless they were disturbed.
Knowing that his uncle was angry, yet daring to provoke him with such words.
Sure enough, after Yu Baiya finished speaking, Yu Jingchuan suddenly burst into laughter.
Ignoring the look of fear in Yu Baiya’s eyes, Yu Jingchuan suddenly took action.
He methodically began to hit Yu Baiya’s bones, one by one.
Pain. That was the only thought in Yu Baiya’s mind.
The pain was truly unbearable.
What had Yu Jingchuan gone through all these years to resort to such actions?
Watching his grandson being reduced to a state akin to mud by Yu Jingchuan, Wang Jinhe was suddenly grabbed, with a hand gripping her neck.
“If you make another move, Wang Jinhe will lose her life,” the person warned Yu Jingchuan.
Wang Jinhe looked at the Ancestor of the Yu family, “Are you going to harm me?”
“My dear, let’s not use such harsh words. I’m just trying to calm down your uncle,” the an said with a smile, a stark contrast to his previous frustrated demeanor.
Yu Qingfeng and Yuan Xu were about to act when the person coldly warned them, “If you don’t want her to get hurt, you better not move.”
