Jiang Shi couldn’t believe what she was hearing from her son. She looked at him with disbelief and said, “Son, what kind of words are you saying?”
She had done so much for her son over the years, and now he was calling her worthless?
“Have I not made myself clear enough? Back then, I asked you to eliminate Wang Jinhe and his family, and we could have taken over their wealth. But how did you handle it?”
“Now, I’m just asking you to talk to them about planting melons together, and you can’t even handle such a simple task. If you can’t do this, then who is the worthless one?” Xie Tao said to Jiang shi, emphasizing each word.
Jiang shi had always been proud of her son. No matter what he wanted to do, she would agree and help in any way she could. But in her son’s eyes, was she really just a worthless person?
“Who are you trying to impress with your sad face? Let me tell you, if you can’t get this done, you better get out of here and don’t stay in this house,” Xie Tao, who had been raised by Jiang shi to be extremely selfish, believed that if someone couldn’t meet his demands, they were worthless.
And he hadn’t done anything himself, relying on Jiang shi.
“I’m your mother, how can you treat me like this?” Jiang shi said angrily.
Xie Tao looked at Jiang shi coldly and said, “If you can help me meet my demands, then you’re my mother. If you can’t meet my demands, you’re not even worth being called worthless.”
“This is my house, I make the rules here. If I don’t want you to stay here, then you can’t stay here. If you want to return to this home, you better start working for me right away, otherwise…” Xie Tao warned Jiang shi with disgust.
She couldn’t believe this was her son, the son she had sacrificed so much to protect.
“I shouldn’t have given you everything you asked for all these years, Xie Tao…”
Xie Tao impatiently pushed Jiang shi aside, saying, “Stop talking to me about this. Do you even deserve to talk to me about it?”
Outside, Yuan bao watched with relish. This woman was so arrogant outside, but at home, she was like this. Actually, people like her, who made her son fight and hate even her, were the greatest punishment for her. This man named Xie Tao was her greatest punishment.
Let them torment each other like this.
But it seemed like the one being tormented was this woman named Jiang shi.
After watching for a while, Yuanbaowent back. He needed to tell the young master about this and make him happy. However, he had to make sure the young master knew that she had been willing to sacrifice the lives of Young Lady and her family just to get money from the Young Lady’s family. This woman would go to great lengths for money, and she was truly ruthless.
She was capable of doing anything, but she would probably go to find Grandma Wang and the others later. They needed to find a way to keep her too busy to go looking for the Grandma Wang and the others.
Yuanbao returned home and informed Su Yu about the matter. Wang Jinhe, who was nearby, frowned upon hearing Yuanbao’s words and said, “What kind of idiot is Xie Tao? How can he do something like this?”
Even if she and Xiao Bao had died, her family still had Wang Jingyu. There were others in her family as well. Why did he think that if she died, he could get her family’s assets?
“Haha, Jinhe, why are you saying that?” Su Yu chuckled, although he also thought that Xie Tao was an idiot.
Wang Jinhe pointed at herself and said in annoyance, “I’m not an orphan. I have parents, grandparents, and a brother. Even if he succeeds and I die, how would he get my parents’ things? Shouldn’t these things belong to my brother?”
Su Yu looked at Wang Jinhe disapprovingly and said, “Why are you talking nonsense? What do you mean by saying you’re dead? You’re perfectly fine. Don’t talk nonsense.”
This girl really had a way with words, saying she’s dead for what reason?
Wang Jinhe covered her mouth with her hand and gestured for silence.
Wang Jinhe seemed to understand that Su Yu wasn’t interested in discussing her situation anymore.
“I just mentioned it casually. The point is not about me, but about Xie Tao’s mindset,” Wang Jinhe said, realizing that Su Yu’s focus was off. She wondered why he was fixated on her.
“Maybe he thinks that our parents will be deeply affected afterward. People can do anything when they’re under extreme stress.”
Wang Jinhe looked at Su Yu with a perplexed expression and said, “I don’t want to talk about it. He’s already at this age, and he’s not working hard to earn a living, just fantasizing about windfalls falling from the sky. Why hasn’t a pair of knives fallen from the sky to cut him to pieces?”
Su Yu, amused by her words, replied, “Many people think this way, always wanting something for nothing. Of course, if they could get rich overnight, that would be even better.”
Wang Jinhe, propping up her chin, couldn’t understand the mindset of such people. “I still can’t comprehend their way of thinking. A young, able-bodied man like him, how can he be so idle? And this Jiang Shi is also a peculiar one. She does whatever Xie Tao says, completely brainless.”
“I think we should let that mother and son continue to fight like this. People like them deserve just that,” Wang Jinhe muttered.
Su Yu leaned back in his chair and suddenly leaned in close to Wang Jinhe. “You want to see them fight each other?”
Wang Jinhe gently pushed Su Yu’s face aside with a smirk. “I do have a bit of curiosity.”
“Such a simple matter? I can definitely fulfill what you want,” Su Yu said with narrowed eyes.
Wang Jinhe became intrigued and asked, “What’s your idea? No, what do you want to do?”
“Someone like Xie Tao will do anything as long as you give him money,” Su Yu replied. If Wang Jinhe really wanted to see that happen, it was within their capabilities.
However, Wang Jinhe shook her head and said, “Let’s forget about it. Even though I really want to see it.”
Su Yu frowned and asked, “Why not? If you want to see it, just tell me. It’s not a big deal.”
“We don’t need to do anything; they’ll get into trouble on their own. Since that’s the case, why should we dirty our hands?” Wang Jinhe explained. Given Xie Tao’s current state, as long as Jiang Shi couldn’t satisfy him anymore, he would do anything. In the end, they wouldn’t have to do anything themselves, and Jiang Shi would suffer for a lifetime.
When Jiang Shi was younger, she didn’t raise Xie Tao properly, and now it’s time for her to taste the bitter fruit.
But all of this was self-inflicted by Jiang Shi, so she has no one to blame but herself.
“Okay, since you put it that way, I won’t do anything,” Su Yu reluctantly said. As for whether he would play a role behind the scenes later on, it wasn’t certain. Perhaps he would add insult to injury?
After all, this mother and son duo had caused so much pain to the Wang family in the past, and now it was their turn to suffer.
Wang Jinhe looked at Su Yu’s devious expression. “Are you really not going to do anything?”
Su Yu thought carefully for a moment. “I might add insult to injury.”
