Lingquan Space: Fortunate Wife of a Farmer’s Family Chapter 855

Chapter 855: No Chance Left

Nan Yue was nothing but a spoiled waste, pampered by Yu Yan, high-minded yet lacking in any real capability.

To continue thinking he was a misunderstood genius was utterly ridiculous.

“Nan Qiao, dare to lay a finger on your brother, and I will never forgive you,” Yu Yan warned Nan Qiao sternly.

“So, keep a close eye on Nan Yue and make sure he doesn’t come near me. I believe you wouldn’t want to lose your precious son,” Nan Qiao smiled sweetly, a smile that sent shivers down Yu Yan’s spine.

The current Nan Qiao was no longer the same as before. Beneath that sweet facade lay a complete and utter maniac, a madman.

Since he said it, he would surely follow through with his words.

“I truly regret not killing you directly back then, only throwing you into Forget Sorrow  City,” Yu Yan expressed her anger.

Listening to Yu Yan, Nan Qiao smiled, “Well, that’s a shame. You’ve missed your chance.”

“Of course, you can try to take my life now, I just wonder if you have the ability,” Nan Qiao said with a smile, a statement that was a blatant insult.

“Don’t think I won’t dare to act, Nan Qiao,” Yu Yan looked at him with bitterness, as if she was on the verge of attacking him the next second.

“I’m standing right here. Go ahead, try to take my life.”

“You…”

“Yu Yan, you don’t have the ability to harm me.”

“In the past, you didn’t act, and now you’ve completely lost your chance,” Nan Qiao remarked, looking at his hands with complete indifference.

“But I could consider taking action against you and Nan Yue. I just wonder if you both can handle it. I’ll return to Nanjiang at the latest by next year. You have a year to prepare. Don’t disappoint me,” Nan Qiao said softly, smiling at Yu Yan.

That smile made Yu Yan very uncomfortable, “What are you planning?”

“Don’t worry, I won’t do anything drastic,” Nan Qiao said in a good mood.

Wang Jinhe leaned in next to Su Yu and whispered, “What does Nan Qiao intend to do?”

“I’ll tell you later,” Su Yu replied quietly.

Wang Jinhe nodded, not pressing further, shifting his gaze to Yu Yan. She sensed that she would regret her actions in the future, and that time wouldn’t be far off.

“Nan Qiao, don’t waste more words on her. Focus on your own affairs,” Wang Jinhe advised.

“Alright.”

As Nan Qiao turned to leave with Bai Qi and the others, Yu Yan immediately launched an attack at him.

Blocking Yu Yan’s strike with ease, Nan Qiao turned to face her, watching as her expression changed, and chuckled softly, “Yu Yan, do you have some misconception about my skills?”

Despite Yu Yan’s struggles, she couldn’t break free.

“Let me go, Nan Qiao,” Yu Yan demanded.

“Anyone who seeks my life doesn’t leave unscathed, no matter who they are,” Nan Qiao stated coldly, observing Yu Yan.

Before Yu Yan could speak, a sharp pain shot through her arm, causing her to groan.

Seeing Yu Yan’s agony, Nan Qiao’s lips curved slightly, “Consider this a warning, Yu Yan. Next time, it won’t be something a severed arm can resolve.”

Yu Yan’s bodyguard’s expression changed instantly, looking at Nan Qiao disapprovingly, “Young Master, no matter what, Madam is still your mother. Your actions…”

Nan Qiao stared at them coldly, “Do you have a problem with me?”

“We dare not, Young Master.”

“Since you dare not, then take your people and leave. If you appear before me again, I’ll make sure you leave in a different state than you came in. I am more than capable of  making it happen.”

The bodyguard had no doubts about Nan Qiao’s words. He turned to Yu Yan, saying, “Madam, let’s leave this place.”

Staying here further could lead to unpredictable actions from the Young Master, which wasn’t a favorable situation.

Yu Yan, pale-faced, followed the bodyguard as they departed. Once they were gone, the smile vanished from Nan Qiao’s face as he watched their retreating figures, lost in thought.

Ruo Hou walked up to Nan Qiao, observing Yu Yan’s departure, and asked, “What are you thinking?”

“I’m just thinking that when I return, I must bring back some of Luo Yan’s explosives to let them have a taste of their own medicine,” Nan Qiao said in a very good mood.

Luo Yan was naturally pleased, “Sure, I’ll give you as much as you need when the time comes.”

“Thank you.”

Wang Jinhe observed Nan Qiao’s nonchalant demeanor and felt some concern.

After Nan Qiao was taken away by Luo Yan and the others, Wang Jinhe turned to Su Yu and asked, “Do you really think Nan Qiao is okay?”

“He doesn’t seem unaffected by it,” Su Yu responded.

Su Yu acknowledged, “Nan Qiao appears fine on the surface, but there’s likely some discontent within him. However, with Ruo Hou and the others around, we shouldn’t worry too much.”

“That’s a relief. I was worried Nan Qiao might be overthinking things.”

“For now, he seems fine. He had already let go of the past. Regardless, some of the things Yu Yan said were indeed uncalled for,” Wang Jinhe remarked, unfamiliar with such maternal behavior.

“This Yu Yan is just as selfish and biased as Gu Jing. Both of them are terrifying in their self-centeredness,” Wang Jinhe remarked, frowning.

Su Yu looked at Wang Jinhe with a hint of helplessness, “Are you standing up for Nan Qiao?”

“Of course, Nan Qiao is actually a very good kid,” Wang Jinhe responded.

She genuinely liked Nan Qiao; he was a great brother. Having heard some things about Nan Qiao before, she was certain that he wasn’t as they described. Otherwise, how could he be so well-behaved?

Now, witnessing how Yu Yan treated Nan Qiao, along with the words he exchanged with her, she realized that everything was an act put on by Nan Qiao himself.

Seeing him in that light, Wang Jinhe couldn’t help but feel a tinge of heartache.

Additionally, she disliked Yu Yan. As a mother, even if you have favorites, there should be limits. How could someone be willing to harm one son for the sake of another?

Yu Yan is like that, and Gu Jing is too.

Can harming their own sons really give them a sense of accomplishment?

Su Yu gently comforted Wang Jinhe, placing a hand on her shoulder, “Don’t worry about Nan Qiao; he will be fine.”

Wang Jinhe nodded, “Next year when Nan Qiao returns, let’s go together? Just go out for a change of scenery.”

Su Yu looked at Wang Jinhe in a way that made her slightly displeased

“Why are you looking at me like that?”

“It’s nothing, just admiring my kind-hearted wife,” Su Yu replied.

Giving Su Yu a glance, Wang Jinhe asked, “Do you think Yu Yan will come back?”

“If she didn’t get what she wanted, she’ll naturally return. As for when, that remains uncertain.” With Yu Yan’s hand disabled by Nan Qiao, she likely won’t make significant moves until she recovers.

After all, Yu Yan would also worry about what Nan Qiao might do. Even if she wasn’t concerned before, having her hand broken by Nan Qiao should make it clear that he is serious, not joking around.

“It seems she’s truly determined by the prospect of gain. Surely, Yu Yan will come back.”
