Lingquan Space: Fortunate Wife of a Farmer’s Family Chapter 860

Chapter 860: Mutual Adaptation

Su Yu couldn’t help but smile as he looked at Wang Jinhe’s expression of disgust. It seemed that Xiao He had truly lost interest in Gu Xiruo.

To reach a point of such strong aversion.

“We have about half a year to plan. Since you want to deal with her, I won’t disappoint you,” Su Yu assured Wang Jinhe. He had already sent people to investigate the matters concerning Gu Xiruo and Gu Sheng. The results would be known once the information came back.

“I just remembered something,” Wang Jinhe spoke up, catching Su Yu’s attention with a questioning look in her eyes.

“What is it?” Su Yu asked, intrigued.

“Lou Manqing is still in the capital. Now that Gu Xiruo and Qing Yukong have parted ways, do you think Gu Xiruo might assume that Lou Manqing is here for her?”

Su Yu’s mouth twitched slightly; indeed, it was quite possible.

Thinking about Lou Manqing being entangled by Gu Xiruo, Su Yu couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

Who would’ve thought that Lou Manqing would end up in this situation?

Wang Jinhe, observing Su Yu’s schadenfreude expression, shook her head in disbelief, “Even if you find it amusing, try not to show it so openly.”

If Lou Manqing found out, he would probably have another disagreement with Su Yu.

Su Yu chuckled, “I’m now very interested in the prospect of the two meeting in the capital.”

“He’s already engaged, yet someone will try to make trouble for him. If things escalate, Lou Manqing might just have the heart to put an end to Gu Xiruo,” Su Yu speculated. If Ming Wanxin misunderstood the situation, it would be quite a sight.

“You’re curious too, aren’t you?” Su Yu asked Wang Jinhe with a smile.

Wang Jinhe decisively shook her head, though deep down, she was indeed intrigued, refusing to admit it.

Observing Wang Jinhe’s insincere denial, Su Yu playfully pinched her cheek, “Playing the insincere card with me?”

Why pretend when they both wanted to see the drama unfold?

Wang Jinhe glared at Su Yu, slightly annoyed, “Do I have no dignity?”

“What dignity is there when there’s a show to watch, right?” Su Yu chuckled softly, teasing Wang Jinhe.

Wang Jinhe gave Su Yu a sardonic look, “If Lou Manqing finds out, he’ll end up fighting with you.”

“It’s fine, he can’t beat me,” Su Yu said nonchalantly.

“…You’re just relying on your high combat skills to bully people here,” Wang Jinhe remarked.

“Don’t give anyone a chance. Otherwise, if someone ends up giving you a beating, you’ll lose all sense of dignity,” she warned.

Su Yu looked displeased, “Xiao He, do you really want to see me get beaten up by someone?”

“Absolutely, considering how you always pick on others. I’d like to see you on the receiving end for once,” Wang Jinhe boldly stated.

“Well, you probably won’t get the chance to witness that,” Su Yu replied confidently.

Wang Jinhe sighed heavily, “Why do you have to be so tough all the time?”

She never gets to see Su Yu back down.

Being on the losing end in her presence always seems unsatisfactory.

Su Yu playfully pinched Wang Jinhe’s face, applying a bit too much force, causing her face to distort.

“I’m tough for a reason, you know? To protect you and our children,” Su Yu remarked. Most people wish their partners were strong, but Xiao He, of all people, seemed to think he was too strong.

Wincing from the pain, Wang Jinhe furrowed her brow, pulling Su Yu’s hand away and speaking up disapprovingly, “Why are you pinching my face?”

“Who said something wrong?” Su Yu asked bluntly.

With that question, Wang Jinhe found herself at a loss for words. How could someone be so petty?

“You’re right, I am petty, extremely petty,” Su Yu admitted, looking at Wang Jinhe.

Wang Jinhe made a face at Su Yu, wondering how he managed to voice her inner thoughts.

“With Yuan Bao and Lin Zixun getting married, it’s like a double blessing, isn’t it?” Wang Jinhe asked Su Yu with a smile.

Su Yu nodded, “You’re right, it’s indeed a double blessing.”

Even though Su Yu recognized Wang Jinhe’s attempt to change the subject, he didn’t say much and smoothly transitioned the conversation.

“It’s really nice,” she remarked. It was heartening to see the people around him finding their own happiness.

“You’re right,” Su Yu agreed. Both his elder brother and Yuan Bao had found their special someone, and in the future, they would have children of their own.

They would live happily ever after, and that’s exactly what he wanted.

Soon, Yuan Bao and Lin Zixun’s wedding day arrived.

Early in the morning, Qiu Yi and Qiu Chan were dragged out of bed by someone.

Seeing the two of them grumbling, Wang Jinhe couldn’t help but burst into laughter, “I remember when I got married, I had to wake up early too.”

Qiu Yi turned to Wang Jinhe, wondering if this lady was just finding joy in their misfortune.

“Miss, you’re just finding joy in our misfortune.”

“Not at all. I’m just sharing some experienced advice – make sure to eat something, or you’ll end up with empty stomachs,” Wang Jinhe said with a smile.

The bold and unrestrained demeanor of Wang Jinhe tempted Qiu Yi to act out of line. However, the thought of Su Yu’s cold, piercing gaze made her think twice before causing any trouble for Wang Jinhe.

Having been punished multiple times by Su Yu in the past for not learning her lesson, Qiu Yi refrained from causing any inconvenience to Wang Jinhe, knowing that Su Yu would not tolerate it.

“If it weren’t for Young Master’s favoritism towards you, you wouldn’t dare to bully us,” Qiu Yi complained.

Wang Jinhe chuckled and went over to where Qiu Chan was.

Although the two sisters looked very similar, once they wore their wedding attire, their distinct styles made them easily distinguishable, preventing any mistaken identity mishaps.

“How come you’re here, Miss?” Qiu Chan was in the middle of getting ready, and upon seeing Wang Jinhe, she tried to stand up to greet her.

Wang Jinhe gently pressed Qiu Chan back into her seat, saying, “You’re the bride today, no need for formalities.”

“Thank you, Miss.” Since being by the Miss’s side, her life had gradually improved. Encountering like-minded people made her feel exceptionally good.

“Why be formal with me? Your good fortune is your own, nothing to do with me,” Wang Jinhe said with a smile.

“In the future, you can continue living here. You won’t have to deal with your mother-in-law much, so no need to worry about the mother-in-law relationship,” Wang Jinhe remarked. She had no mother-in-law herself, but she had met Qiu Chan’s mother-in-law and found her to be quite pleasant and understanding.

She’s a very easy person to get along with.

Qiu Chan’s eyes sparkled with hope as she began to anticipate her married life.

“Miss, I hope that in the future, Zixun and I can be like you and Young Master,” Qiu Chan expressed. The bond between Young Master and Miss was truly remarkable.

Sometimes, just watching them together made her feel envious.

Even though Lin Zixun treated her well, she couldn’t shake the feeling that something was missing.

“You and Zixun are good together. He treats you well. If there’s something on your mind, talk to him about it instead of keeping it to yourself,” Wang Jinhe advised Qiu Chan. The reason she focused on advising Qiu Chan and not Qiu Yi was because Yuan Bao unconditionally adored Qiu Yi, always there to accompany her in whatever she wanted to do.

In this aspect, Lin Zixun lacked a bit of attentiveness. However, married life requires mutual adjustment, and they both need to work on it themselves.
