Chapter 19: The Plane Incident
Shi Xiaofei laughed bitterly in anger.
As the second daughter of the Shi family, she had never been treated like this before.
“I already told you—a master predicted that this plane would have an accident. Why won’t you listen?”
She didn’t know what was going on. At first, she had been skeptical, but now, trying to convince them, she was completely certain, as if the plane really was going to crash.
The airport staff looked helpless. “Miss, this is the new era. You’d better not believe in such nonsense.”
After saying that, they politely nodded at her and turned to leave.
In the end, the plane still took off.
【Streamer, is the plane really going to have an accident?】
Shen Chujin nodded and sighed quietly.
She had done everything she could, the rest was up to fate.
Shi Xiaofei pouted angrily, about to go to the lobby to buy another ticket.
Just then…
In the distant dark night sky, a streak of light suddenly fell like a shooting star, rapidly crashing toward the ground.
Shi Xiaofei’s breath caught, her eyes full of shock.
“That is…”
【OMG! Could that be the plane from earlier?】
【This is bad! The plane is going to crash!】
【Oh no, there are so many people on that plane—if it falls like that, wouldn’t it be…】
Everyone’s hearts grew heavy at the sight.
【Streamer, can you save them?】
【Do you want to see how ridiculous you sound? No matter how skilled the streamer is, she’s human, not a god. The plane’s falling from the sky, and it’s through a phone screen—how can she possibly save them?】
Shen Chujin wanted to say that if she were her past self, maybe she could.
But as of now, she had the will but not the power…
The plane crashed very quickly.
A loud explosion thundered, and a blinding flash of fire flickered brightly against the dark night sky.
Inside the airport, the staff member who had just been negotiating with Shi Xiaofei stood in front of the large window, stunned.
He never expected the plane to really have an accident!
All the inspections showed no problems—so why did this happen…
He couldn’t understand it, really couldn’t!
An overwhelming wave of regret and guilt surged in his heart.
If only he had listened to that young lady before and done everything possible to stop the plane from taking off, maybe this tragic scene wouldn’t have happened.
But in this world, there’s no medicine for regret…
Shi Xiaofei was also frozen like a statue.
At this moment, she felt incredibly lucky.
Fortunately, she had heeded the warning!
If she had really boarded that plane, there probably wouldn’t be a trace of her left now!
She gratefully looked at Shen Chujin on her phone.
She was her lifesaver!
Hurriedly, she refreshed several times on the Luluo Castle.
“Master Shen, can I still fly on a plane?”
To be honest, she already had a trauma about flying.
It was hard to imagine how terrified and desperate those people on the plane must have been the moment it crashed.
Shen Chujin: “You can.”
The deathly pallor on Shi Xiaofei’s face disappeared.
“But, can you do me a favor first?”
Shi Xiaofei nodded eagerly, “Of course!”
Shi Xiaofei took a taxi and headed toward the site where the plane had crashed.
After about half an hour, she got out of the taxi and walked for a while, finally arriving at the crash site.
By now, many police officers, reporters, and airport staff had gathered there.
Pieces of the plane were scattered everywhere.
On the ground lay many broken objects and shattered bodies.
The scene was devastated and horrifying.
Shen Chujin stuck a talisman paper onto her phone.
The next second, countless shadows appeared on the screen.
At a glance, there were at least over a hundred!
The viewers in the livestream all gasped in shock.
Shi Xiaofei was so frightened she nearly dropped her phone.
“Th-These… could they be the ghosts of those who died?” she asked in a trembling voice.
“Yes. Now go to them, ask them to say their names and leave a final message.”
This would be the last thing done for these poor souls.
Shen Chujin hid her own image on the screen and let Shi Xiaofei’s view take up the entire screen.
Shi Xiaofei: !!!
She was being asked to talk to ghosts?!
How terrifying!
Could she really refuse?
Although terrified, she shakily moved forward toward the ghosts whose eyes showed confusion.
She also felt some guilt.
If only she had been able to persuade them all to get off the plane back then, they wouldn’t have died.
“Um… h-hello,” she called out from behind a middle-aged male ghost.
The ghost turned his head, startling Shi Xiaofei so much that she quickly took a big step back to keep a safe distance.
She trembled as she asked, “Do you… do you have anything you want to say to… your family?”
She swore to herself she was usually very brave!
This wasn’t cowardice, it was just her heart!
“Can you see me?” the male ghost asked, a bit surprised.
Earlier, he had tried to talk to some police officers, but it was as if they couldn’t see him at all.
That’s when he realized he was dead.
In other words, everyone on the plane had died.
Shi Xiaofei immediately nodded. “So, you can say whatever final words you want.”
The ghost’s eyes dimmed for a moment, then he raised his head.
“My parents are already gone. I’ll speak to my wife.”
“Wife, I’m sorry. I won’t be able to take care of you and our son anymore. Under the rightmost wardrobe in our bedroom, there’s a small box. Inside is a bank card. The password is your birthday.”
“The money inside is what I earned extra by doing projects for others. I planned to save more to give you a surprise, but now…”
“You’re still young. You don’t have to stay a widow for me. If you meet someone who treats you and our son well… live a good life with them.”
【Sniff sniff, this made me want to cry~】
【If his wife and child knew he died like this, they’d be so heartbroken.】
Shi Xiaofei was also moved.
Even in death, this man was still thinking about his wife and child. It was truly touching.
After the man finished his final words, Shen Chujin recited a sutra to help him move on.
“Where did he go?” Shi Xiaofei asked in surprise.
“Reincarnating,” Shen Chujin answered.
Shi Xiaofei suddenly felt like a whole new world had opened up to her.
That night completely overturned her view of the world!
She had completely forgotten her original purpose for seeking out Shen Chujin.
After that, she kept recording the final words of the ghosts.
For those who left final messages, Shen Chujin would perform a ritual to help them move on and be reincarnated.
“Wait a moment.”
Suddenly, Shen Chujin said in a deep voice.
“What’s wrong?” Shi Xiaofei asked, confused.
“Turn the camera to your front right.”
Although she didn’t understand what Shen Chujin meant, Shi Xiaofei obediently did as told.
The next moment, by the bushes, two ghosts appeared on the screen.
They were actually… fighting!
