Love Imprisoned by Thorns: In the Name of Losing Control – Chapter 4

Chapter 4

As the days went by, Jiang Zhinan gradually grew accustomed to life in the villa. Jiang Xingzhi cared for her meticulously, fulfilling her every need—except for freedom.

Each morning, Jiang Xingzhi personally prepared breakfast for Jiang Zhinan, then sat beside her, watching tenderly as she ate bite by bite. His eyes overflowed with gentleness and adoration, as if she were the most important person in his world.

“Zhinan-jie, what would you like to eat today? I’ll have the chef make it for you,” he asked softly.

Jiang Zhinan looked up at the anticipation in his eyes, a ripple of emotion rising in her chest. She knew that while he had used extreme means to keep her by his side, his love was genuine and intense.

“Anything’s fine. You decide,” Jiang Zhinan replied with a gentle smile.

Jiang Xingzhi nodded, his hand lightly brushing through her hair. “Alright, I’ll ask them to make your favorite—sweet and sour ribs.”

After breakfast, Jiang Xingzhi took her for a walk in the garden. The sun was bright, the flowers in full bloom, and the air carried a faint, refreshing fragrance. As she looked at the man beside her, Jiang Zhinan suddenly felt a glimmer of happiness.

“Xingzhi, what do you think this relationship of ours is?” she asked suddenly.

He paused, then smiled slightly. “We’re husband and wife. Of course we’re meant to be together forever.”

Jiang Zhinan shook her head. “But we’re not actually married.”

Jiang Xingzhi stopped walking and turned to embrace her. “Zhinan-jie, would you marry me?”

She looked up into his sincere eyes, her heart skipping a beat. She realized she had already fallen in love with this man. Though his love was somewhat obsessive, even a little mad, it was passionate and deep.

“Yes, I will,” she whispered.

Joy flashed in Jiang Xingzhi’s eyes. He lowered his head and kissed her lips deeply. The kiss brimmed with joy and promise, as if declaring to the world that she was now his wife, his everything.

That very afternoon, Jiang Xingzhi arranged a simple yet warm wedding. No guests, no blessings—only the two of them, in the garden under the sun, exchanging rings and vows of a lifetime together.

“Zhinan-jie, from today on, you’re my wife. I’ll spend my life loving and protecting you, making you the happiest woman in the world,” he said softly.

Jiang Zhinan smiled and nodded, resting her head on his shoulder. She knew she had completely surrendered to this love. Maybe this was fate—good or bad, she was willing to accept it, and walk every remaining day with this man.

That night, Jiang Xingzhi carried her to bed, kissing every inch of her skin with tenderness. “Wife, I love you,” he whispered, his voice filled with affection and desire.

Jiang Zhinan responded softly to his kisses, her heart brimming with sweetness and joy. She knew that from this moment on, they were truly husband and wife, and nothing could ever tear them apart.

In that night full of love, the two became one—using their bodies to express the depth of their love and commitment. Outside the window, moonlight poured in like water, gently blessing the two lovers with its silent, silvery glow.
