Love is Hidden in the Wind: Chapter 47

Chapter 47: Fall in love with you

Lin Yiwei pushed Xie Bo aside, holding her left hand with her right hand as she walked out of the room to search for the medicine box in the cupboard. The two minor cuts on her skin weren’t worth making a fuss over, just oozing a bit of blood… but they did look a bit frightening.

Xie Bo followed her out and tried to call Yi Shiqi, but Lin Yiwei swiftly snatched his phone away: “It’s just a minor injury, no need to bring that talkative guy over.”

They had only met once, but Lin Yiwei was already deeply psychologically affected by this chattering fellow. Xie Bo didn’t insist, sitting beside her as he watched her carefully applying the medicine to herself.

Just as he was about to speak, Lin Yiwei interrupted him: “If you’re going to ask, you’ll have to stand up for me.”

Xie Bo looked down at the scratches on her hand; the wounds were indeed shallow, and with the Yunnan Baiyao, they would scab over and heal within a couple of days.

Seeing him silent, Lin Yiwei muttered, “You really aren’t going to ask?”

“The bleeding startled me earlier, but now it doesn’t seem too serious.”

“Xie Bo, are you even human?”

….

After applying the medicine, Lin Yiwei squatted in front of the cabinet and pulled out the unopened PSP game controller belonging to Xie Bo: “Xie Bo, can I play with this?”

“Don’t be so polite.”

Lin Yiwei giggled and turned on the TV, skillfully connecting the gaming device. Xie Bo cleaned up the blood-stained bandages and gauze, then walked alone to the balcony, wanting a cigarette but remembering his promise to Lin Yiwei to quit.

Watching the girl play the game with one hand, relaxed and joyful, occasionally smiling involuntarily, he saw her dimples were sweet.

Surely, it wasn’t just because her hand no longer hurt, but because he had just promised to help save Lin Xie. He didn’t feel jealous of their sibling relationship, but the incident with Lin Yiwei getting hurt left him unable to vent his frustration.

He called Li Du: “Check if Yunhui sent someone to bother my girlfriend.”

“Master Xie, I really… I’m begging you.” The phone conversation nearly drove Li Du insane, “You and Chi Xicheng have already reached this point, don’t make it worse. Must it be a fight to the death? If you continue to provoke him, how will you explain this to your father?!”

Xie Bo kicked over a pot of lemon tree branches raised by Lin Yiwei. He understood that pulling a single thread could affect the entire situation, and though he had been patient for the past decade, enduring… it wasn’t himself who felt wronged now, but the person he cared about, and he had never cared about anyone like this before. All the years of pain he endured were now directed at Lin Yiwei. He couldn’t bear it anymore.

When Lin Yiwei heard the commotion, she walked out holding the controller, seeing the carefully nurtured lemon tree branches and leaves scattered on the ground with the ceramic pot broken, she couldn’t help but frown.

Xie Bo thought she was angry and mumbled, “Sorry, I’ll compensate you with a new pot tomorrow.”

After finishing the call, he was about to leave.

Lin Yiwei understood his intention and grabbed his sleeve: “Xie Bo, I’m really fine.”

“Don’t be presumptuous. Who said you’re fine?”

Xie Bo grabbed his coat and left quickly. As the elevator doors closed, he told her, “Sleep alone tonight, don’t go to school tomorrow, wait for me at home.”

“Xie Bo!”

The elevator door closed with a “ding”.

After the fallout with Chi Xiyu, Lin Yiwei never returned to school. Xie Bo didn’t let her out of the Ramon Apartment complex; she could only move around within the neighborhood. He didn’t lock the door; he knew there was no need. Now this girl would obediently stay by his side until he rescued her brother. If she kept her word and promised to stay with him for life, then it would be a lifetime.

…….

Without using any adjectives, describe the relationship between Xie Bo and Chi Xiyu.

Lin Yiwei could imagine this.

Chi Xiyu has always been like this. As long as it is something she does not want to see or hear, she has the ability to pretend not to see or hear, only receiving messages that suit her preferences.

Sometimes, Lin Yiwei even jokingly thought that Chi Xiyu and Xie Bo are truly a perfect match. One pretends to be innocent, pretends to be naive, able to turn a blind eye to how many women he has outside, and still play the role of a sweet little wife at home.

Isn’t this the ideal married life for Xie Bo?Lin Yiwei has no intention of disturbing this well-matched couple.

She just wants her brother to come back to her….

* DING! * the elevator door opened, Xie Bo returned, placing a rectangular item tightly wrapped in hard paper at the entrance.

Lin Yiwei rushed into his arms, hugging him tightly.

In the cold winter, on a snowy night, the warmth and fragrance of the young girl, as she threw herself into his arms, warmed Xie Bo’s heart in an instant.

The girl cupped his face, actively parting his lips, her soft and warm tongue exploring, teasing him, almost unable to contain her inner desire.

Xie Bo held the back of her head, forced to let her stand on her tiptoes, enduring all of his passion.

Lin Yiwei jumped up, legs around his waist, Xie Bo lifted her with one hand, a smile on his lips: “So proactive?”

“I haven’t seen you for days, you don’t let me go out, it’s so boring at home.” Her tone carried a hint of complaint.

“It’s not that I don’t let you out, it’s for your safety.” Xie Bo patiently explained, “Everyone outside now knows about our relationship.”

“I told you not to go, but you still did, causing such a commotion. Only a fool wouldn’t know.”

“Who am I doing it for?” Xie Bo put her down, “You were bullied, can I still save face?”

“In the end, it’s still for your reputation.”

“You ungrateful girl.”

Lin Yiwei is indeed an ungrateful girl; he has scolded her more than once.

“You can’t expect me to stay at your place until I leave the country.”

“You can go out, but I have to accompany you, don’t worry, it won’t be boring.”

“When can I go to England then?”

“After the New Year, they have spring break after Christmas.”

“What about my brother’s matter, when will you investigate?” Lin Yiwei finally got to the point, “When can I see him?”

“This matter is more urgent than the previous one; you just need to trust me.”

Lin Yiwei also knows not to rush things; the Chi family still does not fully trust him, so he cannot reveal where Lin Xie is hiding.

She trusts Xie Bo’s character; he won’t promise anything lightly, and once he does, he won’t go back on his word.

She walked to the entrance, looking at the package he brought in: “Master Bo, what is this?”

“Lemons.” Xie Bo opened the package, revealing the lemon seedlings inside, “I damaged yours before.”

He had done so much these days, yet he still remembered her little lemon tree.

Lin Yiwei pouted, “The previous one was just a broken pot; I had replanted it long ago. You are being meddlesome, buying another pot.”

“It doesn’t matter to have an extra one.”

“Exactly, it doesn’t matter. After all, when I leave, you will be the one taking care of it. Remember, lemons like water and light, they need plenty of sunlight and water!”

Xie Bo stood with his hands on his hips, watching her move the lemon tree to the balcony, placing it next to the previous one: “The one I gave you, aren’t you taking it with you?”

“Are you kidding? Am I supposed to take two lemon trees to England?”

“I can have someone help you carry it.”

“Xie Bo, you bought it, you take care of it.” Lin Yiwei looked at his balcony facing north and south, “The sunlight here is so good; taking it there might not suit the soil, it would be a pity if it dies.”

“I won’t take care of it, no time, survival of the fittest.” With that, he turned and went back to the living room.

“When I come back and my tree is dead, you’re in trouble too!”

Lin Yiwei followed, talking tough, but Xie Bo didn’t indulge her, carrying her horizontally towards the room.

Lin Yiwei knew what he wanted to do, pushing and saying, “I haven’t showered yet!”

“Perfect, let’s shower together.”

The shower room was filled with hot steam, Lin Yiwei’s flushed face pressed against the steam-covered glass, through which she could see the blurry figures entangled in the mirror on the opposite side.

Xie Bo kissed her back, noticing her looking at the mirror, assessing them.

A smile played on his lips as he lifted her up, her upper body pressed tightly against the glass, creating a sexy image.

He kissed her fair and slender neck, and Lin Yiwei looked back at him with a dreamy gaze.

As he boldly advanced, she turned her head and with a broken and trembling voice, told him, “Xie Bo, I love you.”

She clearly felt his heavy breathing; he almost wanted to engulf her in his body.

“I love you…” she seemed to have found the switch that ignited him, “Xie Bo, I love you.”

The man suddenly tightened his grip on her.The hot water flowed over her feet, drip by drip.

He lay on her back, gently stroking the places he had just touched forcefully, kissing her earlobe, “I do too, Yiyi, I love you too, I mean it.”

Regardless of whether she was sincere or not, he was genuine.

Xie Bo cleaned her body, carried her to bed, embraced her from behind, and nestled his head into her neck.

Sometimes kissing her, sometimes smelling her, he tenderly cherished her with warm breath without a word.

He knew that after it was over, she needed this tenderness, so no matter how tired he was, he wouldn’t immediately fall asleep, leaving her alone to gradually regain her senses in extreme exhaustion.

“Xie Bo, in a few days, I want to go see Chi Xiyu’s Christmas art exhibition.” She looked at him through the night with wet eyes, pitifully, “Can you help me go?”

“…”

“You’re giving me a difficult task again.”

Taking her to see Chi Xiyu’s New Year’s exhibition was… a bit too provocative.

At least, during this period, no matter how he dealt with Chi Xicheng, he remained as usual with Chi Xiyu, without any actions that would sever their relationship.

“It’s okay, Xie Bo, I don’t need you to take me, but I need an invitation.” Lin Yiwei sat up, solemnly said to him, “I need to make sure that my brother… is safe.”

Those paintings were her only means of getting close to Lin Xie. At least, before she went abroad, she had to ensure that everything was fine with Lin Xie.

Xie Bo thought for a moment, with a tone of conceding to her, said irritably, “When Chi Xiyu is not around, you bring Ye Anning with you, I’ll arrange two invitations for you, disguise yourselves a bit, don’t attract too much attention, I’ll prepare the clothes for you.”

Lin Yiwei sat beside him with her legs folded, looking down at him.

“What are you looking at?” He rested his hand on the back of his head, squinting.

“Xie Bo, I feel that you have fallen in love with me.”

Xie Bo covered her head with the blanket, rolled over to press her beneath him, and lightly sneered between their breaths, “I have indeed fallen in love with you.”

He emphasized the word “fallen.”

In the warmth of the blankets, Lin Yiwei playfully wrestled with him for a while, then hugged his neck, “I have my principles, the kindness of a drop of water should be repaid with a gushing spring. Xie Bo, if you are good to me, I will be good to you too.”

At that moment, she was also sincere.
