Chapter 9 You don’t mind me eating your leftovers, do you?
In the army, no one knows if they’ll be sent on a mission or have extra training the next second, everyone eats as fast as they can.
Shen Zhiyu ate half a bowl of rice, while Gu Ye had finished a big bowl of rice.
And the man didn’t eat much rice, he could finish the staple food with just soup and dishes.
Seeing Shen Zhiyu eating so slowly and so little, how could Gu Ye not say anything.
Shen Zhiyu: “…….But I’m full.”
Gu Ye wanted to say that she was too thin, but when he looked up, his gaze just caught sight of that plump area, and he remembered that her shirt couldn’t even button up.
The man retracted his gaze, took a deep breath, “I’ll eat, you don’t mind me eating your leftovers, do you?”
“Ah?”
Before she could react, Gu Ye took her bowl, poured the rice from her bowl into his own bowl, and finished it in three bites.
Almost a pound of rice, he ate it so easily!
No wonder he’s so big!
Wait, that wasn’t…
Gu Ye saw that her face was a little red, he poured her a glass of water, “What’s wrong?”
Shen Zhiyu looked at the man’s thin lips, she was silent for a moment, and whispered: “I ate from that bowl, if you eat it again, isn’t it like…”
She didn’t say it clearly, but Gu Ye understood.
Wasn’t it like kissing!
He was just thinking that the rice wasn’t finished and it would go bad if he took it back, and he couldn’t waste food, he hadn’t thought about it at all.
Now that he finished eating, looking at her pink lips, he felt like the taste of the rice just now had changed, and he felt a little awkward.
He cleared his throat, pretending to be calm: “We’re partners, we’re going to get married soon, this kind of thing will only happen more often, not less.”
Shen Zhiyu: “…”
What kind of thing, does it mean eating her leftovers or kissing?
Why is this person so unclear!
The dishes weren’t finished, Gu Ye packed them in the lunch box he brought with him.
He asked her again: “Do you want to take some food back?”
Shen Zhiyu looked at the meat buns that the people at the next table were eating, she swallowed, and nodded: “I’ll buy some buns to take back.”
“Okay.”
Buns are now sold by the pound, the meat buns sold at this state-owned restaurant are medium-sized, eight buns per pound, nine cents.
Shen Zhiyu ordered two pounds, this time she didn’t let Gu Ye pay.
She asked the clerk to pack them into two portions.
There was a bus back at three o’clock, they walked around casually, digesting their food, and when it was three o’clock, they got on the bus back.
After walking around for half a day, on the way back, Shen Zhiyu fell asleep as soon as she got on the bus.
The bus seats now didn’t have headrests, and her neck felt empty.
Leaning against the window, her head shook with the window, her chin was numb.
Shen Zhiyu was very uncomfortable sleeping, but she was also too tired and didn’t want to wake up.
Suddenly, the car jolted, and the girl’s whole body leaned to the side.
The man’s body temperature was frighteningly high, his arm was as hard as iron, Shen Zhiyu frowned in her sleep.
Gu Ye lowered his head and looked at her rosy sleeping face, he paused, adjusted his sitting position, making her lean a little more comfortably.
Sure enough, after Shen Zhiyu found the most comfortable sleeping position, her brow relaxed, and her cheek rubbed against him.
Gu Ye: “…”
The comrades in the army who were younger than him were almost all married.
From their descriptions, after getting married, they had hot meals at home, someone washed their clothes, and when they went back, someone would even heat up bath water for them!
Gu Ye felt… that his life after marriage might be very different from what his comrades said?
And it might even be the complete opposite.
She was so delicate, he wouldn’t even take care of her!
The car back was faster than the one going there, Shen Zhiyu hadn’t woken up yet, and they were already there.
She followed the man off the car in a daze, and finally woke up completely when she was about to reach the door of her house.
“Remember to take the packed buns and dishes,” Gu Ye reminded her.
“Wait.”
There was still a red mark on her face from where his arm had pressed against it, Shen Zhiyu pursed her lips and handed him one of the buns: “Take this bun back.”
The man was puzzled, Shen Zhiyu curved her eyes: “This is for Auntie and the others, take it.”
Gu Ye took the bun, looking at her sweet face, he suddenly realized that his fiancée seemed to be much better than he thought.
