Chapter 94: I Was Right All Along

Lin Xiangnan stood where he was, wanting to hear what else Luo Caixia would say.

Just from the first sentence, he was full of anticipation for Luo Caixia.

Inside the courtyard wall, Luo Caixia was full of momentum, saying to Captain  Wang, “I’ve poured my heart and soul into my two children at home, afraid they might be cold or hungry. Every piece of clothing Wang Hu wears, I made it myself… Just because he’s making a fuss, you come and scold me. You must be blind…”

Captain Wang was impatient, “You really are something. I just said one thing, and you reply with a hundred…”

Before he could finish, Luo Caixia interrupted him.

“Oh, heavens, send down a bolt of lightning, strike these ungrateful people dead… Strike me dead too, I don’t want to live anymore…”

Luo Caixia’s performance inside the wall was so good that Lin Xiangnan, outside the wall, listened with great interest, silently moving a few steps closer to the Wang family’s house.

“What’s the point of listening to them argue? Let’s go home for dinner.” Aunt Hua didn’t like to get involved, wanting to pull him away.

“Wait a little longer.” How could you leave a good show halfway? Lin Xiangnan wanted to hear the grand finale.

Unable to pull Lin Xiangnan away, Aunt Hua said, “If you won’t go, I’ll go first. I have ash on my face, I need to go wash it quickly.”

They had already come this far, the front door was right in front of them, just a few steps away.

“Don’t go.” Lin Xiangnan grabbed Aunt Hua’s sleeve, “Leaving me here alone would look suspicious. Just stand here, pretend to be talking to me, cover for me.”

Aunt Hua was helpless, she could only stand there with Lin Xiangnan and eavesdrop.

She was more nervous than Lin Xiangnan doing this, glancing left and right, seeing no one, she whispered, “If someone we know sees us, how embarrassing.”

Lin Xiangnan chuckled, “What are you afraid of? Just keep your expression serious, who would know we’re eavesdropping?”

They had already come this far, might as well listen, Aunt Hua also perked up her ears.

Luo Caixia had already finished scolding Battalion Commander Wang, now she was scolding Wang Hu.

“I sympathize with you, being so young and losing your mother. I’ve been accommodating you all this time, never hitting or scolding you. But think about it with a clear conscience, did you do the right thing today? You did something wrong and don’t dare admit it, you even blame it on me, did you do the right thing?”

Wang Hu was cornered and couldn’t speak, he couldn’t help but turn to look at Battalion Commander Wang, and burst into tears.

“You, why are you making things difficult for the child?” Captain Wang didn’t even think, he immediately sided with his son.

Seeing him like this, Luo Caixia couldn’t help but cry too.

Before, when she cried, it was a suppressed sob, secretly wiping away tears.

Now Luo Caixia was crying, directly howling out loud.

“Oh, heavens, what kind of karma have I committed, to marry into your Wang family…”

“Hey, hey, hey!” Captain Wang was anxious to cover Luo Caixia’s mouth, scolding, “Why are you crying so loudly, aren’t you ashamed?”

Luo Caixia replied confidently, “I’m right, why should I be ashamed? You should be ashamed.”

After squeezing in a sentence, she howled even louder.

Her crying was even louder than Wang Hu’s, which actually startled Wang Hu.

Wang Hu couldn’t cry anymore, he sniffled and wiped his nose and tears, looking at Luo Caixia crying with embarrassment.

Wang Hu had gone to work, now it was just Luo Caixia making a scene at home, Battalion Commander Wang no longer needed to defend his son, he quickly said, “Okay, okay, you’re right, you’re right. Stop making a fuss, okay?”

Luo Caixia retorted fiercely, “I was right all along.”

You can’t have shame if your opponents don’t. This man won’t learn and only the halo of a protagonist and her needs could make him change.
