Chapter 99: Going to the Hospital

As soon as he heard this, Captain Wang scoffed and directly asked, “Did you see it at the Gu family next door?”

“Yeah, it’s next door.” Han Qiao said with a strange expression, “I didn’t expect Comrade Lin to be like this at home. She even pushed the laundry onto her husband, not considerate at all.”

Captain Wang’s wife was like this when he married her. She was also like this when he remarried, but Luo Caixia had learned her lesson.

Captain Wang had a bitter face and explained helplessly, “Han Qiao was just saying something casually, she didn’t mean any harm. This person was found by my elder sister-in-law with great difficulty. She just arrived, and I’m going to send her back. What will people back home think of us?”

She pushed Captain Wang awake and said, “I think I’m going to give birth, quickly take me to the hospital.”

Captain Wang shook his head, waking himself up, quickly turned on the light, packed his things, and prepared to leave.

The commotion woke Han Qiao up too.

Han Qiao took the initiative to say, “Can’t you just give birth at home? I can help.”

“I don’t want to give birth at home. I want to go to the hospital!” Luo Caixia squeezed Captain Wang  wrist and urged, “Hurry up!”

Han Qiao secretly rolled her eyes, just about to say she was too pampered, but thinking back to the argument that night, she held back and said, “No need for help, then. This is your first time giving birth, you don’t know. It’s just starting to hurt now, it’ll be a while before you give birth. You don’t need to be so anxious.”

After saying that, she just stood there and didn’t do anything.

She was there to help, not to be a servant. Luo Caixia’s attitude, why should she do things for her?

Han Qiao wanted to avoid it, but Captain Wang was not happy. He directly ordered, “What are you standing there for? Quickly go to the hospital with us. I have to go to work tomorrow. You have to stay at the hospital and take care of Caixia.”
