Chapter 136: Rescue Arrives
High in the sky, a pure black drone was hovering, and a slightly mechanical sound could be heard.
Even if the sound was not clear, people who were familiar with Shen Sangyu could tell whose voice it was.
Shen Xu opened his eyes wide and looked at the little thing in front of him in disbelief.
“Boss, it’s my sister-in-law!”
Wen Qingchuan stared at the metal plane in the sky with his dark eyes. It didn’t look like a plane, but it was very small.
There were four small propellers around it, and even though they were small, they made a deafening sound.
“Sangyu,” Wen Qingchuan shouted at the drone.
Wen Qingchuan’s voice was accurately transmitted back to the camp outside. When Shen Sangyu heard Wen Qingchuan’s voice, her eyes were already red.
“Qingchuan, this is the drone I made temporarily. Are there any injured among you?”
Wen Qingchuan replied, “No.”
“That’s good,” Shen Sangyu said. “Now the rescue team has come one after another, but because the landslide area is too large, it will take half a month to clear it all.”
Without waiting for the villagers below to panic, Shen Sangyu continued, “You need to be patient for half a month.
We will arrange for some supplies to be delivered today. If you need anything urgently, please communicate with me, and we will deliver it as soon as possible.”
The reason for the urgency in rescue was not only to ensure that all personnel were safe but also because of the season and weather. Rain in winter could freeze people to death.
Sure enough, Wen Qingchuan quickly figured out what they needed.
“Quilts, water sources, supplies, and medicines.”
Many people had been caught in the rain yesterday, and some had started to develop fevers today.
After Wen Qingchuan finished speaking, he suddenly thought that there were too many things for four or five hundred people, and it might not be possible to deliver them all.
But Shen Sangyu reassured him: “These are not problems. The supplies can definitely be delivered within three days, but there are not too many supplies today, so we have to save them.”
Shen Sangyu’s words instantly reassured everyone.
But still, doubts lingered.
“The mountain has collapsed; how can we get the supplies in?”
The villagers’ voices were loud, and Shen Sangyu could hear them clearly.
“Don’t worry about this. Ji Ran has found you and will definitely rescue you safely.”
Shen Sangyu paused and said, “Please give us some confidence, and give yourself some confidence.”
Four or five hundred lives; they would never give up on them at any time.
The rain outside was getting heavier. Such an environment was not conducive to the flight of drones, but the people in the mountain could not wait.
Shen Sangyu could only risk the drones to send supplies in little by little. It would not work if she relied on herself, but there were only a few drones for the time being.
For safety reasons, Yang Junzhi asked some local engineering and physics professors to operate them.
Many of the professors had heard of drones, but since China had not yet made them, when they heard that they could operate drones, they agreed without hesitation.
During this period, everyone was cautious. After all, they really wanted to study, but they also knew what was important.
If they accidentally broke one, the people inside would have to work harder.
Three days later, the basic supplies were basically completed, and three of the seven drones had been lost.
Shen Sangyu had also drawn the blueprints during this period, but she had been busy operating the drones, and she had not yet produced the core technology.
Now that the basic supplies had finally arrived, she didn’t have to be so anxious.
Supplies needed to be delivered later, so the more drones, the better.
The only person who knew about the core content of the device was Jiang Yan, but Jiang Yan was in poor health and had not been in contact since he left three days ago.
Shen Sangyu was worried about his health, but she couldn’t be distracted.
The core device was not too difficult for Shen Sangyu, but it took time and effort. After all 18 drones were made, Shen Sangyu’s eyes were already blurry.
But she didn’t dare to delay for a moment and had to continue teaching the newcomers how to use them.
Drones are very easy to break down and explode. If they break down, it’s okay. As long as they are not too broken, they can still be rescued, but if they explode, you don’t know where they will fall before they fly back.
So drones were something that Shen Sangyu could only have more of, not less.
More and more teams were digging through the mudslides, and after digging through, it was four days faster than originally planned.
Everyone cheered when they dug through.
Then they sent people up the mountain to look for survivors.
If it was half a month ago, Shen Sangyu would definitely go, but she was exhausted in the past half month.
It was common for her to sleep only one or two hours a day. She even had auditory hallucinations in the past few days.
Shen Sangyu knew that she had to rest in her current situation. She said goodbye to Yang Junzhi and left.
Who knew that the military wife who was going up the mountain with her would say, “Sangyu, at least your man has been trapped on the mountain for half a month. He will definitely be very happy to see you.”
Shen Sangyu was so tired that she didn’t even have the energy to refute.
Yang Junzhi spoke for Shen Sangyu: “Sangyu didn’t rest well in the past half month. When can’t we meet?
Must we go up the mountain to have a sense of ritual? If a man really cares about his wife, he shouldn’t have such an idea.”
After speaking, Yang Junzhi looked at Shen Sangyu’s pale face with heartache and hurriedly said, “Sangyu, you should go and rest first.”
Shen Sangyu nodded, and before leaving, she looked at the military wife who had challenged her.
She remembered this military wife, the one who had been crying every day in the same room with her.
Shen Sangyu opened her mouth but was too tired to say a word. Finally, she sighed slightly and staggered back to the tent.
The military wife seemed to feel that she was neglected and rolled her eyes.
Shen Sangyu couldn’t see it, but it didn’t mean that Yang Junzhi couldn’t see it.
Yang Junzhi frowned: “What’s your attitude? You have been resting here these days, and you eat and drink when you know your husband is fine.
The drone was designed by Sangyu. She has worked harder than anyone else in the past half month.
I tell you, your men’s lives were saved by her. How dare you despise her!”
Yang Junzhi used to speak politely to everyone, but this was the first time he spoke so impolitely to an outsider.
The military wife who rolled her eyes was startled. She wanted to refute but couldn’t, so she could only keep her tail between her legs.
Shen Sangyu gave Yang Junzhi a thankful look, and the pale color of her face made him feel even more angry.
As a leader, he had to go up the mountain together to pick up the survivors.
Because they took into account various emergencies on the road, the people who went up the mountain almost formed a long line.
With the location detected by Shen Sangyu, they didn’t have to wander around like headless flies, saving more than a little time.
The weather was just right on the day of going up the mountain, and the originally muddy road became much drier.
When they found Wen Qingchuan and his friends, many women were even drying clothes outside.
Wen Qingchuan spotted Yang Junzhi at first sight, knowing that he was saved, and quickly saluted Yang Junzhi, then kept looking into the crowd.
