Chapter 59: Loving Xu Muzhou’s Kiss

The pain mixed with a deep, aching pleasure marked the first shared experience between Xiao Qingru and Xu Muzhou. At some point, the room fell quiet, leaving only the sound of their breathing intertwined. Tears from the moment still glistened in her beautiful eyes, soft and vulnerable.

Xu Muzhou cradled her gently, soothing her, feeling a strong sense of fulfillment. From now on, Xiao Qingru would be fully his, just as he would belong to her alone. Content, he softly comforted her, “It will only hurt this once, next time, it won’t hurt anymore.”

“How could you ambush me in the middle of the night?” Her voice was hoarse and tinged with playfulness, stirring him again. Xu Muzhou held back, knowing she needed to ease into this new intimacy.

Clinging to her, he murmured, “With my wife here, it’s hard to resist.”

“Well, you can’t sneak up on me while I’m asleep!”

“I won’t do it again,” he promised quickly, “I’ll wait for your go ahead next time.”

Xiao Qingru shot him a skeptical look. “I don’t believe a word of that now.”

With a grin, he acknowledged her wisdom. “You’re right. Men’s words on matters like these shouldn’t be trusted.”

“Should I compliment you for your honesty?”

“Thank you for the praise, my dear wife!” he replied, laughing, to her exasperation.

As his calloused fingers gently brushed her tear streaked cheeks, he was captivated by the glow in her eyes, now so charming and alluring. To him, she was like a blossoming flower, with a ripeness he knew was his doing.

Nuzzling against her, he whispered, “Wife, I’m very happy.”

“Who was it earlier looking all nervous and acting like he’d be rejected?” she teased. Xu Muzhou chuckled, he’d genuinely been anxious. Now, with his doubts eased, he felt secure, confident that he was enough for her.

“I’ll make sure to keep you so satisfied you won’t ever want to leave me.”

Blushing, she chided him, “Stop talking nonsense.”

He only grew bolder, “Any areas you think need improvement?”

Her face flushed red. “Maybe… a bit more effort next time?”

Xu Muzhou blinked. Was this really his shy wife?

“Alright, I’ll make sure you have no complaints.”

His smoldering gaze sent her heart racing, and she wanted to retract her words. After cleaning up, they lay back down together, finally getting to sleep just past 3 a.m.

“Let’s sleep now. We’re having breakfast with the family in the morning.”

The following day, Xu’s parents would be heading home. Although Xiao Qingru wished they could stay longer, the two elders wanted to return to work, and she didn’t press.

With dawn still early, Xu Muzhou held her close, feeling elated, and drifted off to sleep beside her.

They both woke naturally around six the next morning, even though they had the day off. “You can go back to sleep,” Xu Muzhou murmured.

“I’m well rested,” she replied.

He didn’t release her, holding her even tighter, and she quickly became aware of his… morning energy.

“Do you mind?” she whispered.

“This is…an uncontrollable reaction,” he explained, “and besides, I…want to.”

“No, you don’t,” she said firmly, squirming free of his grip.

Still, he tightened his hold on her until she finally elbowed him with a playful nudge. “Get up!” she said, laughing.

The resulting tussle only escalated the situation until both were laughing breathlessly in each other’s arms.

When they arrived at Xiao’s house for breakfast, the meal preparations were in full swing, with rich chicken broth wafting from the kitchen. Xu’s mother smiled warmly at her daughter in law, “We’re having a little farewell feast here, you two can just relax and wait to eat.”

After breakfast and farewells, the couple retired to Xiao Qingru’s room upstairs to unwind. She opened the window, a little flustered at the thought of the morning’s activities, and sat quietly at her desk.

“Wife, why the cold shoulder?” Xu Muzhou teased.

“Guess,” she retorted, unable to help smiling at his feigned innocence.

He wrapped his arms around her, noting her slight stiffness, and asked gently, “Are you still sore?”

“Xu Muzhou!” she exclaimed, cheeks blazing.

He simply grinned, ignoring her protests and leaning in closer, “Your waist still sore?”

She gave a flustered cough, “Maybe… a little.”

He chuckled, skillfully massaging her waist, relieved by her sighs of relaxation.

She snuggled into his embrace, saying, “I only wish we’d met sooner.”

“But it’s not too late,” he replied softly, cherishing the moment. With a playful smile, he added, “One more kiss, please?”

She leaned in to kiss his cheek, then tried to pull away. But he wasn’t done and gently turned her to face him, pressing his lips to hers, a kiss deep and tender. She embraced him back, realizing she loved the way Xu Muzhou kissed strong and a bit assertive, not holding back.

In that warmth, she blushed, silently scolding herself for being so eager.
