Military Marriage Love: Back Before Divorcing the Tough Soldier
Military Marriage Love: Back Before Divorcing the Tough Soldier Chapter 17

Chapter 17

Jiang Manyue had no choice but to say a few perfunctory words and send Miao Xianghua away.

After Miao Xianghua left, Jiang Manyue sat on the bed and began to think about her and her cheap husband Lu Lin.

She originally thought that when Lu Lin came back and divorced her, she would take the opportunity to get out of this marriage, but now it seems that something went wrong.

Neither the Lu family nor the Jiang family wants them to divorce now. If they still want to divorce at that time, they will definitely encounter various obstacles.

Divorce may be a difficult thing in the short term, but Jiang Manyue has no intention of maintaining this marriage in her long-term plan.

It is now 1974, and the college entrance examination will be resumed in three years. Jiang Manyue wants to take this opportunity to enter university and develop her career in a big city.

She really had no intention of maintaining the marriage for the original owner, and the current situation was not a good thing for her.

Jiang Manyue thought for a while and decided to wait for Lu Lin to come back and see what he thought.

No matter how much she thought about it now, it would be wishful thinking. It would be better for her to wait for the other party to come back before making any plans.

Jiang Manyue sighed and stopped thinking about the divorce for the time being. She entered the space and prepared to pick out a can of food that was easier to unpack. In a couple of days, she would take it to the black market to trade with Zhou Laosan.

Standing in front of the supermarket shelf, Jiang Manyue picked up all the canned meats and selected them. Finally, she chose one with an outer packaging covered with a layer of hard cardboard, which she could directly remove and sell.

What’s more convenient is that the production date and label of this can are printed on the cardboard, not on the bottom of the can like other cans, saving her the energy of erasing the production date.

There were not many cans on the shelves, so Jiang Manyue took them all down, removed all the cardboard, and piled them on the ground.

There were about thirty items in this pile. Jiang Manyue took them all out and came back again. There were more than thirty items on the shelf.

After going back and forth a few times, Jiang Manyue’s bed was piled with cans. After counting, she found that there were already five hundred cans, so she moved them all to the ground in the space.

Then Jiang Manyue went to look for canned fruit and found that most of them were made of glass, with only one kind being a tin can similar to canned meat, with a paper label on it.

Considering that tin cans are more convenient to transport, Jiang Manyue chose this one.

But the label on the can is pasted on and is difficult to remove, so Jiang Manyue has to spend more time to tear off the label before he can sell it.

Jiang Manyue decided to go to the courtyard early tomorrow morning and do all the preparations in the courtyard, so that she wouldn’t have to do it at home and worry about being discovered.

After taking all the cans out from the shelves, Jiang Manyue did the same thing and took out two hundred cans and piled them all into the space.

After doing all this, Jiang Manyue was indeed tired. Going in and out of the space was very tiring, so she simply lay on the bed to rest and wait to go to the courtyard tomorrow morning.

When it was time to make dinner, Jiang Manyue was still lying in bed without moving.

She cooked lunch and she didn’t plan to cook dinner. It’s not that she couldn’t make do with the food Li Guifen cooked.

At worst, she could just eat a few bites and then find something to eat in the space later.

Li Guifen saw that Jiang Manyue’s door was closed and knew that she had no plans to cook dinner, so she went to pick vegetables and cook.

When she finished cooking, Lu Qingyou came back from work, and Lu Junan also trotted back home.

“Go wash your hands and eat.”

Li Guifen saw her little grandson had returned, so she served the dishes to the table and asked him to wash his hands.

Lu Jun’an nodded, ran to the well to wash his hands, and was about to run to the main room, but stopped and turned to run to Jiang Manyue’s room.

“Aunt! It’s time to eat! Come out and eat!”

Lu Jun’an knocked on the door and called Jiang Manyue to come for dinner. When he saw Jiang Manyue open the door, he took her hand and walked towards the main room.

Jiang Manyue was pulled by him into the main room. Seeing two dishes and a bowl of pickles on the table, she began to think about what to eat in the space later.

There was a plate of green beans and a large bowl of loofah on the table. The green beans were stir-fried very dry, and the plate looked dry, while the loofah was a large bowl with soup and water, without a trace of oil.

Lu Jun’an was not very interested in these two dishes. He sat at the table, looking like he didn’t want to eat.

Finally, Li Guifen came over with a small basket of steamed buns and a small bowl of porridge. She placed the handle of the porridge spoon on Lu Qingyou’s side, indicating that he should serve first.

Jiang Manyue didn’t understand why Li Guifen was so keen on the combination of steamed buns and porridge. There was already a loofah with soup, so why should the staple food be something porridge?

But she didn’t want to say much. Others had worked hard to cook the meal, so if she didn’t like it, she could just eat less. There was no need to point fingers here.

Lu Qingyou slowly served himself some porridge, took a big steamed bun, and began to eat in silence.

Lu Jun’an begged Li Guifen to give him only half a bowl of porridge and didn’t even ask for a steamed bun.

Although he said that he had eaten a lot of snacks while playing at Jiang’s house in the afternoon and was not hungry at all, Li Guifen knew that her grandson thought her cooking was not delicious.

Li Guifen felt a little sad. She couldn’t understand why, after cooking for half her life, she was not as good as Jiang Manyue, who never went into the kitchen.

Jiang Manyue didn’t want to care about her melancholy. She just scooped up some loofah and broke off a small piece of steamed bun, intending to eat it.

While eating, Jiang Manyue felt a little helpless. She really didn’t want to go into the kitchen often, but her cheap mother-in-law’s cooking was really bad. Every time she ate, she had the urge to rush into the kitchen and re-cook two dishes.

Jiang Manyue suppressed the impulse in her heart, finished the dinner with difficulty, and quickly left the table.

Jiang Manyue returned to her room and thought that she might not come back for lunch tomorrow. How about taking Jun’an to her parents’ house for dinner in the evening?

I’ll see if I can find something to send to my parents’ house tomorrow. Otherwise, it would be a bit embarrassing to eat with Jun’an by myself.

Originally, it would be fine if Jiang Manyue went there by herself, but she wanted to bring Jun’an with her, so she had to bring some things with her. She couldn’t just eat and drink her mother’s food for free.

This is also a good excuse to send something to my mother’s family. The Jiang family is a big spender, and they don’t live a very good life.

She had enough money and her family was really kind to her. Except for her biological mother Miao Xianghua, her five brothers also treated her like the apple of their eye. She would give them as much subsidy as she could.

Since she had replaced the original Jiang Manyue and enjoyed the Jiang family’s kindness to her, and had promised that Jiang Manyue to take care of her family, she had to take practical action.

Jiang Manyue made up her mind to go there for a free meal tomorrow and bring more food with her to improve the food conditions of the Jiang family.
