Chapter 27: Catching Thieves, Encounter Again

The two of them couldn’t help but feel tense.

Yu Zihan tugged at her mother’s arm, indicating that she had heard some noises.

Yu Meijuan held her daughter’s hand tightly.

Before the people arrived, she was excited, but upon actually hearing the sounds, she began to feel nervous.

Even though her daughter said the electric net was reliable and the intruders would definitely be caught, at this moment, she couldn’t control herself; she wasn’t shaking only because she was trying to suppress her own anxiety for her daughter’s sake.

The bad guys were already at their doorstep, and now they had no choice but to confront them head-on.

A rustling sound came from her daughter’s room.

“Thank goodness you’re sharing a room with me; otherwise, what would we do?” Yu Meijuan murmured to her daughter, somewhat afraid. It was as if voicing her fears could lighten her anxiety.

“Just wait for the show to unfold; don’t be nervous. I’ll make sure they come but don’t leave—none of them will escape,” Yu Zihan said through gritted teeth. She truly felt a sense of dread; if she and her mother hadn’t been so alert and hadn’t prepared in time, they would be facing a tough battle today, especially since it sounded like there were quite a few people coming.

If they hadn’t taken precautions and had to confront them directly, not only would she and her mother get hurt, but more importantly, she wasn’t confident they could take them all down at once.

If that kind of situation happened, they would be at a disadvantage, and if those people had connections, the outcome could be dire.

A lewd voice reached the ears of the mother and daughter, making Yu Meijuan so angry that she wanted to rush out and tear that person’s mouth apart.

“What about that young girl? Can we touch her?” a voice asked cautiously.

“Touch her? That’s for Big Brother! Didn’t you hear Sister Sun say that girl is quite pretty? A girl like that is meant to be kept for Big Brother. Just focus on your work and don’t get any ideas,” another voice said, trying to curry favor.

“Hehe, they’ve really made arrangements for us, clearly set for the two of us mother and daughter.

These scoundrels are clearly doing something morally reprehensible by staying in society; it seems my thoughts are not at all excessive,” Yu Zihan thought angrily.

With a “click,” the door was pried open.

The mother and daughter couldn’t help but hold their breath. It would be a lie to say they weren’t nervous. Outside, several big men were eyeing them hungrily.

Yu Zihan’s eyes widened as she calculated that if the electric net wasn’t reliable, she would fight them with her electric baton. This time, she was prepared to fight hard; these bastards were too hateful.

Yu Meijuan and Yu Zihan turned on the light and crawled out from under the covers.

At that moment, they heard voices coming from the alley, indicating that some neighbors had already woken up.

She rushed straight to the police station but was stopped by the gatekeeper.

Once the call was connected, Yu Zihan picked up the receiver and briefly narrated the situation.

Then she heard the beeping sound from the receiver. Yu Zihan realized, that familiar sound—it was that handsome fool.

After their kidnapping incident, Yu Zihan had given that person a fitting nickname: “Handsome Fool.” She felt this nickname perfectly captured his characteristics.

This time, the handsome fool was quick.

While Yu Zihan was lost in thought, she saw four or five people running out from inside. They weren’t in uniform today.

“Lead the way,” the voice said to Yu Zihan.

For some unknown reason, Yu Zihan felt a mischievous impulse. She quickly pedaled her bicycle with her long legs, and it shot forward.

“Quick, keep up.” She vaguely heard the voice giving orders.

Yu Zihan believed that their lovable and respectable police comrades would surely be able to keep up with her speed, so she pedaled even faster. In less than five minutes, she arrived at the entrance of her home.

From a distance, she saw it was already surrounded by people.

“You little hussy, out here seducing people in the middle of the night. One wasn’t enough; you’ve seduced so many men at once. Let my brother go; why are you tying him up?” Yu Zihan heard Old Lady Sun’s venomous curses, and her lips curled slightly in a smirk.

“Hmph, you can keep boasting for a while longer; your brother will just have to wait to eat peanuts,” Yu Zihan thought to herself.

Hearing the old woman’s words, Yu Meijuan’s temper flared: “At your age, you should just stay home and sleep; you won’t have many days left to sleep anyway. You’re not only deaf but also blind; can’t you see that it was your brother who brought these people over the wall to rob us, and we captured them?”

“Am I crazy? Seducing men and tying them up? Is that your hobby, old lady?” Yu Meijuan’s words not only scolded Old Lady Sun but also explained why these people were at their home in the middle of the night.
