Chapter 27: The Indecent Clubhouse

As soon as Xiao Zheng saw her come out not long after going in—still carrying the thermal container—he wanted to ask something, but her expression didn’t look too good…

“Go back and tell my mom that from now on, anything related to Ji Yanzhou, don’t involve me,” Ji Xueli said calmly.

“Miss, was Assistant Xie inside?” Xiao Zheng asked cautiously.

Before he left, Madam had specially reminded him—if he saw Xie Yujun, he must report back.

“Mhm, they seemed very loving,” Ji Xueli walked out of the elevator, tossed down that sentence, and got into the nanny car without another word.

Alarms rang in Xiao Zheng’s mind instantly. Miss didn’t stay inside for long—it’s likely she got triggered by what she saw. That would explain her opening words.

Once he confirmed she’d left, Xiao Zheng quickly pulled out his phone and made a call: “Reporting to Madam—we have a situation.”

“What’s with that look? Who bullied you?” Han Chen asked as Ji Xueli got in the car with a cold expression. The thermal container was still untouched in her hand, which triggered some bad guesses in his mind.

Could it be that she walked in on Xie Yujun and Ji Yanzhou being all lovey-dovey, got mad, and stormed out?

As expected… there’s a reason exes are exes. Han Chen clenched his fist indignantly.

“No one. Take me back to Lijingyu. You can have this,” Ji Xueli handed him the container.

Just a supporting character—he doesn’t matter. The priority now is to get familiar with the script. Tomorrow is the first shoot.

“Alright, but if anything’s wrong, you must tell me,” Han Chen reminded her worriedly.

Thankfully, Ji Xueli wasn’t the type to keep things bottled up or wrong herself.

“Yeah.”

Ji Xueli was already over what happened earlier. After all, she was originally just the white moonlight side character.

Not long after she got back to Lijingyu, her phone rang. Ji Xueli didn’t even look—she already knew who it would be.

Most likely, her mom was calling to scold her.

“No matter what you say next time, even if he’s on his deathbed, I won’t go see Ji Yanzhou again—not even once,” Ji Xueli picked up and launched the preemptive strike while flipping through her script.

“Lili? What’s going on—did someone force you to go see Ji Yanzhou?”

But instead of a familiar woman’s voice, it was a man’s. Ji Xueli froze and looked at her phone. The caller ID showed: Chengdu.

Chengdu had just made the call and hadn’t even spoken yet when he got hit with a storm of words. He turned to look at Duan Qingyu beside him, totally confused.

Duan Qingyu was resting his chin on his hand, watching the people the club owners had sent over. He looked a little bored. But when he heard the voice, he raised his eyes.

“Ji Yanzhou’s sick in the hospital. I just went to visit,” Ji Xueli quickly calmed down and said.

“Stomach issues?” Chengdu didn’t seem surprised and glanced at Duan Qingyu knowingly.

He even seemed to know exactly why Ji Yanzhou’s condition relapsed—

Because of His Highness the Crown Prince.

Duan Qingyu noticed his gaze and caught part of the conversation. He smirked but said nothing.

“Anyway, why did you call?” Ji Xueli didn’t want to keep talking about Ji Yanzhou and changed the topic.

“Guess where I am with the Crown Prince right now,” Chengdu teased.

Ji Xueli turned a page and said, “An indecent clubhouse.”

“Hey! Lili! Why do you think of us that way?” Chengdu feigned seriousness at her blunt accusation.

Duan Qingyu glanced at the screen lighting up with Ji Xueli’s name and lit a cigarette.

“Doesn’t your conscience hurt saying that?” Ji Xueli chuckled lightly.

She circled a note in her script, planning to study that part later. But then, a flirty and exaggerated voice came through the phone:
“Crown Prince~ let me light that for you~”

Ji Xueli’s hand paused, alert.

Duan Qingyu didn’t move, watching as the woman approached him, nearly spilling out of her top. Her eyes were flirtatious, hand caressing his chest as she lit his cigarette.

Wow. Chengdu could barely resist starting a video call to show Ji Xueli this scene.

“Crown Prince, want a drink? I’ll feed you~” The woman got bolder since he hadn’t pushed her away. She picked up the glass and leaned in with her mouth.

The man’s expression remained cold, sharp features showing no amusement. A dark glint flashed through his black eyes.

His long, slender fingers stroked her cheek like he was toying with fresh prey.

A second later, the woman screamed sharply—Duan Qingyu had crushed his cigarette into her collarbone.

“What happened?” Ji Xueli frowned as the soft flirtation was replaced by a piercing scream.

Chengdu didn’t even blink—totally used to it.

Duan Qingyu tossed the cigarette aside. Watching the woman tremble in pain and her face contort, he said coolly, “Get out.”

“Take her out, quick! She upset the Crown Prince!” the club owner shouted in panic.

Several people rushed in and dragged the woman away.

Duan Qingyu wiped his hands. His aura was intimidating—he hated people acting on their own initiative.

He impatiently tossed the handkerchief in the owners’ faces. “Get out. All of you.”

“Yes sir! Right away! Everyone out, now!” they scrambled, terrified.

In their minds: Wasn’t the Crown Prince known for being open to everything? Why is he so mad tonight?

“Crown Prince just used her as an ashtray,” Chengdu shook his head, feeling sorry for the woman.

What they didn’t know: Duan Qingyu’s mood was unpredictable. When he was in a good mood, he might entertain people. But once something annoyed him, he instantly lost interest.

So that scream earlier? Definitely his doing. Ji Xueli tapped her pen lightly on the script.

“Maybe he’s keeping himself pure just for you…” Chengdu teased again.

Ji Xueli snorted. “Yeah right.”

“Crown Prince, is there anything else unsatisfactory?” The bosses cautiously approached.

Chengdu stepped forward to speak for him: “Leave us alone for a while.”

“Okay, just call us if you need anything!”
