Chapter 6: The Female Lead Appears?

After looking through the original owner’s wardrobe, Ji Xueli decisively grabbed her card and headed out, without any hesitation.

After all, she was the male lead’s white moonlight, a rich girl, and a female star. What was with all the black, white, and gray?

Someone like Duan Qingyu had seen all kinds of women, so to win him back and rekindle her relationship with her ex, she first had to change herself.

The phone rang just as Ji Xueli was watching the model try on clothes for her. She picked up the phone. “Hello?”

“Xueli~”

The voice sounded somewhat annoying.

Ji Xueli suspiciously glanced at the caller ID—it was unknown.

“I know you’ve returned to the country, so I immediately contacted the director. I have several scripts for you. Should I bring them over this afternoon?”

After hearing this, she had a rough idea—it was probably her agent. But did the original owner love her job that much? She had just returned to the country and was already getting back to acting…

“I’m at the mall. I’ll contact you about the scripts in a few days,” Ji Xueli waved her hand, signaling the model to change outfits.

“Why are you at the mall? Didn’t you say you’d never rest?” The other side sounded confused.

“I’m buying clothes. I want to rest now, so that’s it. Bye,” Ji Xueli hung up, not giving the other person a chance to respond.

“Just pack these up for me,” she took out her card and pointed at the clothes and shoes she wanted.

“Alright, Miss Ji, we also have some new limited edition bags in stock. Would you like to take a look?” The sales associate said, her excitement barely contained as she took the bank card.

No woman could resist limited edition items.

Ji Xueli raised an eyebrow. “Let me see.”

“This one just arrived from headquarters. It’s this year’s runway design, only five in the world, and this is the last one.”

Ji Xueli looked at the bag in her hands. The white medium-sized one was very delicate and beautiful, and since it was the last one, it was particularly tempting.

“Just this one…”

“I’ll take it.”

Before she could finish her sentence, a voice came from behind. She turned to see a woman with a strikingly beautiful face and an aura of aggression.

“Miss Ren.”

The sales associate greeted her familiarly, meaning she was also a regular customer.

“Ji Xueli? You’re back?” Ren Tang suddenly smiled, her tone filled with sarcasm.

Great, it was someone she knew. Who was she though?

Ji Xueli remained unflustered. “I just got back recently.”

“I thought I heard news about your return. Looks like it’s true,” Ren Tang mocked with a smile.

Her hostility was quite strong—she was probably an enemy.

Ji Xueli looked her up and down, noting her nose seemed a little fake, but her skin was well-maintained. Could she be a fellow actress?

“You’re still the same as before, acting so aloof and arrogant.” Ren Tang said when Ji Xueli didn’t respond.

Ji Xueli slowly curled her lips. “Yeah, but you’ve changed a lot…”

She pointed to Ren Tang’s chest. “You’ve had surgery, haven’t you?”

“You… Ji Xueli, stop talking nonsense.” Ren Tang looked down at her chest, angry but also embarrassed because it was true. She turned red with rage.

“Looks like I was right,” Ji Xueli said, retracting her hand.

“Shut up! I just can’t stand your high and mighty attitude,” Ren Tang said, fuming.

Well, she was from a rich family…

The sales associate, sensing the tension between the two, hurriedly stepped in. “Miss Ji, I’ll pack the bag for you.”

“I already said I’ll take it. Can’t you hear?” Ren Tang widened her eyes in disbelief.

The sales associate glanced at Ji Xueli, who was from the Ji family, while Ren Tang was just a popular star. Compared to the Ji family, Ren Tang wasn’t much.

“Just give it to her, it’s just a bag,” Ji Xueli said lazily, uninterested in arguing.

“Hmph, someone’s paying for it,” Ren Tang said smugly, pulling out a card.

Ji Xueli gave her a strange look. Was she really proud of someone else paying for her stuff?

The next second, she spoke.

“Does the crown prince know? This is his card.”

Duan Qingyu?

Ji Xueli furrowed her brows. Why was this woman involved with him? Could she be the female lead? But could the female lead really be this dumb?

“Ah, how impressive,” Ji Xueli said with no enthusiasm. If this really was the female lead, she felt secure in her plans to reconcile with Duan Qingyu.

“Here.” Ren Tang huffed and handed the card to the sales associate. “Ji Xueli, you’ve been away for so long. There’s no place for you in the industry anymore. I advise you to stay as the rich young lady and not run away again.”

Ji Xueli had been about to leave but stopped after hearing those words. She walked back towards Ren Tang.

“Excuse me.”

Ren Tang turned, puzzled by the sudden remark, only to be met with a slap.
