Mountain Village Miracle Doctor
Mountain Village Miracle Doctor – Chapter 11

Chapter 11

Without saying much, he turned to the people beside him and said, “The person should be fine now. If you’re still worried, you can take them to the hospital for a check-up.”

Hearing this, everyone breathed a sigh of relief, especially Zhang Bin, who felt as if he had been pulled from hell to heaven. Just moments ago, he thought the person was beyond saving, but in the blink of an eye, they were rescued.

Not only had a life been saved, but his career had also been salvaged.

Gratefully, he grasped the other person’s hands. “Little Miracle Doctor, thank you! Thank you so much! You’ve really helped us out!”

Wang Tiezhu replied in a calm tone, “Leader, no need to be so polite. And don’t call me a miracle doctor. If I remember correctly, I’m still a suspect in your precinct, haha!”

“A… suspect?” Zhang Bin was stunned and was about to ask for details.

Before he could, Lin Qing quickly interrupted, feeling annoyed. This guy really holds a grudge. Now he’s complaining to my boss?

“It’s all been resolved!”

Zhang Bin gave the two of them a strange look but didn’t press further. Instead, he said, “Young man, if you ever need anything, you can come to me. My name is Zhang Bin, and I’m the station chief here. Here’s my contact information.” He handed over his business card.

Wang Tiezhu accepted it and put it away. “Thank you, Chief Zhang.” This favor wasn’t for nothing—I earned a police chief’s goodwill. Not bad.

He then turned to the beautiful police officer.

“Comrade, can I have my belongings back now?”

Lin Qing pouted slightly and said, “Follow me!”

A few minutes later, Wang Tiezhu carried a large basket to the bicycle parking area, securing it onto the rear seat before preparing to leave.

“Hey, Wang Tiezhu, wait a minute!”

Lin Qing ran out of the station and stopped in front of him.

Pushing his bicycle, Wang Tiezhu asked, “What now?”

Lin Qing pointed at the basket. “Are you going to sell meat?”

Wang Tiezhu’s face darkened. Sell meat? Do I look like a male escort?

Speechless, he replied, “Yeah, so what? Are you planning to detain me and add another charge, Officer Lin?”

Lin Qing snorted, “You really don’t appreciate kindness, do you? Go to Linglong Pharmacy in the west of the city and tell them I sent you. They should be willing to buy your goods.”

Wang Tiezhu was stunned. “Officer Lin, is that pharmacy yours?”

“No, it belongs to a friend,” Lin Qing replied. “Don’t give me that look. Since you know medicine, you should be aware of fair pricing. If you don’t think it’s reasonable, you don’t have to sell.”

“Why are you helping me?”

Wang Tiezhu smirked. “Could it be that you’ve taken a liking to me because I’m handsome?”

“In your dreams!”

Lin Qing huffed, “I should—ugh, forget it! Go if you want!” She turned around and jogged back inside.

“This woman…”

Watching her leave, Wang Tiezhu muttered, “She’s got a nice figure, though.”

Half an Hour Later

“Linglong Pharmacy!”

Following the address given by the beautiful officer, Wang Tiezhu arrived in the west of the city and stood in front of the pharmacy, looking up at the large signboard.

The pharmacy was located at a busy intersection, with a constant stream of people and cars passing by. It was a prime location. He parked his bike, hoisted the basket onto his back, and walked inside. The pharmacy was spacious—two floors, likely over a thousand square meters.

The decor had a classical charm. The counters, medicine shelves, and even the tables and chairs for customers were all made of dark red pearwood. Even the employees were dressed in traditional Chinese attire.

“The owner has good taste. Pretty stylish!”

There were quite a few customers inside. After scanning the place, Wang Tiezhu walked up to a counter and spoke to a young male employee.

“Excuse me, I want to—”

“You want to buy medicine, right?”

The employee interrupted him. “What do you need?”

“I’m not here to buy,” Wang Tiezhu corrected. “I’m here to sell.”

“Sell?”

The male employee gave him a once-over. “What are you selling?”

Wang Tiezhu set down his basket, removed the cloth covering it, and showed the contents. “Take a look—do you buy bear paws?”

“Whoa!”

The male employee leaned in and gasped. He had dealt with plenty of medicinal ingredients before, and at a glance, he could tell the bear paws and gallbladder in the basket were valuable. The pharmacy was actually short on these types of ingredients.

Typically, they bought bear paws at 1,000 yuan per jin. The four paws in this basket could easily sell for 50,000 to 60,000 yuan.

Looking at the young man’s rural attire, the employee assumed he was from the countryside and probably didn’t know the real value of his goods. Greed flashed in his eyes, though he quickly masked it with a neutral expression.

“Hmm, these bear paws and gallbladders are decent,” he said flatly. “But we just purchased a batch recently, so we’re not in urgent need. Still, since you came all this way, I’ll do you a favor. No need to weigh them—I’ll take everything for 10,000 yuan. What do you think?”

Wang Tiezhu sneered inwardly. Does he really think I’m an idiot? I saw that greedy look in his eyes. If he had offered me a fair price of 30,000 to 40,000, I might have considered it. But 10,000?

What a scam!

Without a word, he covered the basket with the cloth again and prepared to find another employee.

“Hey, wait!”

Seeing that he was about to leave, the employee rushed out from behind the counter and blocked his way. “If 10,000 isn’t enough, I’ll add another 500. 10,500, okay? That’s my best offer!”

“Get lost!”

Wang Tiezhu cursed. No need to entertain someone who treats you like a fool. He wasn’t planning to sell here anymore—if the employees were this shady, the boss probably wasn’t any better.

As he walked toward the exit, the greedy employee shamelessly chased after him.

“Little brother, I’ll go up to 11,000! Think about it—that’s my highest price!”

Annoyed by the persistent haggling, Wang Tiezhu didn’t watch where he was going. Near the entrance, he accidentally bumped into a woman who had just walked in. His arm made direct contact with her… well-endowed chest.

Firm and bouncy!

“Ouch!”

The woman, caught off guard, stumbled and fell.

Quickly setting down his basket, Wang Tiezhu reached out to help her up. “Sorry, sorry! I wasn’t paying attention.”

The woman struggled to her feet, frowning. “Watch where you’re going! That hurt—I think I twisted my ankle.”

Wang Tiezhu sighed. Damn it, all because of that annoying guy back there.

Apologizing again, he offered, “I know some medical techniques. Do you want me to take a look?”

“No need!”

The woman waved him off, then noticed the basket of bear paws.

“Sir, are you here to sell these?” she asked. “I’m the owner of this pharmacy—Li Linglong. If you’re not happy with the price, we can negotiate.”
