Mr. Lu’s Flash Marriage Sweet Wife
Mr. Lu’s Flash Marriage Sweet Wife | Chapter 6

Su Mo raised an eyebrow and met Yu Chuxin’s gaze, not quite understanding where the hostility in the girl’s eyes was coming from.

She had been perfectly fine during the performance this morning.

Before she could figure it out, Yu Chuxin walked over holding a glass of wine and sat beside her.

“Sister Mo, I’ll toast to you.”

Su Mo picked up a glass of wine from the table, didn’t say much, and clinked glasses with Yu Chuxin, then took a small sip.

Su Mo wasn’t unfamiliar with temper tantrums from the younger girls in the group. Although Yu Chuxin’s hostility seemed completely out of the blue, Su Mo didn’t take it to heart. After all, to her, these people were still just kids.

But she didn’t expect that as soon as she set her glass down, Yu Chuxin slammed her glass onto the table, making a loud noise. “Sister Mo, are you looking down on me?”

Su Mo was confused, looking at Yu Chuxin with a less-than-pleased expression. “How am I looking down on you? If you’re upset, don’t take it out on me. See that door? If you’ve had too much to drink, go outside and have your tantrum.”

Su Mo was well-known for her good temper in the group and treated the girls kindly, but that didn’t mean she didn’t have a temper of her own. Especially with the way things had been going lately, Yu Chuxin coming over to cause trouble was like walking straight into the line of fire.

Upon hearing the commotion between the two, the previously lively atmosphere in the private room immediately fell silent.

Ma Wenlong looked this way and that, quickly stepping forward to separate them. “What’s going on here? Xiao Xuanxuan is having her birthday, and you two are fighting? Can’t you show some face?”

After saying that, he shot Yu Chuxin a sharp glare. “Go play somewhere else. Sister Mo’s not feeling well today, so don’t go provoking her.” Then, he pulled Su Mo to the corner of the room.

“What’s going on?”

Su Mo shook her head. “It’s nothing.”

“Is Yu Chuxin giving you trouble?”

Su Mo took another sip of her wine. The wine was cold, chilled to the point where it was hard to drink, so she took it slow, only swallowing after it warmed up in her mouth.

After a few sips, she looked up at Ma Wenlong. “I thought you’d think I was the one bullying Yu Chuxin.”

Ma Wenlong rolled his eyes. “With your temper, I know you wouldn’t cause trouble unless someone else starts it. As for Yu Chuxin…,” he trailed off, leaving the rest of the sentence unsaid, and the meaning was clear enough between the lines.

Su Mo exhaled. “Honestly, my temper depends on the person. I’m fine, go have fun with them.”

She glanced back at the middle of the room. Yu Chuxin seemed to have been crying. A group of girls were crowding around her, trying to comfort her, while a few were sneaking glances this way, their eyes full of disapproval, as if blaming Su Mo for saying something harsh to Yu Chuxin.

Su Mo withdrew her gaze and ordered a hot drink for herself. Then, she said to Ma Wenlong, “Go ahead, calm them down. Don’t let them think you’re showing favoritism. I’m fine. The kids need comfort more than I do.”

Ma Wenlong frowned, sighed helplessly, and patted her on the shoulder before walking toward Yu Chuxin.

Su Mo, holding her hot drink, scrolled through Weibo on her phone. In the now lively private room, she felt oddly out of place in the silence.

After a moment, she stumbled upon a photo on Weibo. It was the picture of her earlier today when the man had helped her into the car at the bus stop.

She stared at the photo for a few moments, then looked up at Yu Chuxin, who had been laughing again after Ma Wenlong had worked his charm.

Ma Wenlong once again helped liven up the atmosphere before returning to Su Mo’s side.

Su Mo didn’t acknowledge him, continuing to scroll through Weibo, interacting with her fans.

Her Weibo had tens of thousands of followers, mostly CV enthusiasts.

She had done some radio dramas when she was abroad, all for charity, never earning money, but gaining a bunch of fans in the process.

“Lucky shot—so this is what it feels like.”

She had just posted this when her fans started reacting.

“Wow, Mo Jie, we want to hear your voice!”

“Mo Jie, say something to cheer us up!”

“Mo Jie, we’ve missed you! You’re finally back, so exciting!”

“Lucky shot? Who made Mo Jie a target?”

“Don’t worry, Mo Jie, we’ve got your back!”

While replying to her fans, she asked Ma Wenlong, “All settled?”

Ma Wenlong nodded. “It’s nothing. Just some tantrums from the kids.”

Su Mo thought to herself that it probably wasn’t just a simple tantrum, but she only smiled and went back to interacting with her fans.

Ma Wenlong leaned in beside her, watching her interact with her fans on Weibo, suddenly furrowing his brow. “Mo, with so many fans, why don’t you take advantage of that?”

Ma Wenlong had brought up a few times that she should promote their dance group on Weibo, but Su Mo had never agreed.

Su Mo replied, “If I show my face, I’m not mysterious anymore.”

Ma Wenlong rolled his eyes. “Mysterious? Please, you’re out in the open dancing with me every day, showing your face all over the place.”

Just as he was about to say something else, he suddenly thought of something, looking at Su Mo. “Mo, are you hiding from someone? From the Liu family?”

Su Mo looked up at him.

Ma Wenlong, caught by her gaze, awkwardly scratched his head. “I was just guessing. The thing is, about that time Liu Yiyi came looking for you… I just think…”

Su Mo interrupted him, “She mistook me for someone else.”

Before Ma Wenlong could say more, Yu Chuxin walked over with a glass of wine, heading straight for Su Mo.

Ma Wenlong shot her a sharp glare. “What are you doing?”

“Ma Ge, I’m here to apologize to Sister Mo,” Yu Chuxin said, handing Su Mo a full glass of beer, the cold glass covered with water droplets. “Sister Mo, it was my fault earlier, please don’t take it to heart. I’ll toast three glasses to you, I hope you’ll forgive me.”

Su Mo looked at the glass of wine in front of her, not intending to accept it. Ma Wenlong also seemed ready to stop her, but before he could, Yu Chuxin stared at Su Mo and said, “Sister Mo, are you not going to accept my apology?”

Su Mo pursed her lips and took the glass from Yu Chuxin. Without a word, she drank it down. As soon as she finished, Yu Chuxin handed her another, following up with a third. Ma Wenlong was left dumbfounded; he had never seen Su Mo drink this much.

“After this, we’re even. Yu Chuxin, don’t come looking for me again!” After finishing the last glass, she slammed the empty glass onto the table, her tone calm but carrying a clear warning.

Yu Chuxin bit her lip. “I didn’t mean to cause trouble, Sister Mo.”

Su Mo smiled faintly, not wanting to argue with her. “Mm.”

Yu Chuxin didn’t linger and, after apologizing and toasting, turned and walked away.

The other girls, seeing that Yu Chuxin and Su Mo were done, quickly gathered around Su Mo to toast her again.

Ma Wenlong hurriedly intervened. “Alright, alright, three drinks is already enough for Sister Mo.”

“But, but…” At this point, the girl in front of Su Mo was the birthday girl, Wei Xuan.

Su Mo couldn’t refuse the birthday girl, so she picked up her glass, took a sip, and then the other girls began to take turns toasting her.

Before long, two bottles of wine were gone.

Ma Wenlong didn’t stop her this time, just replaced the chilled wine with room-temperature ones. After all, there was no training tomorrow, so if she got drunk, she got drunk.

After a round of drinking, Su Mo felt her stomach churning. She quickly stood up and headed for the restroom. However, just as she reached the restroom door, a shadow quickly flashed in front of her.

“Hey, Sister Mo, you need to use the restroom? But what if I can’t hold it anymore?” Yu Chuxin pretended to clutch her stomach outside the restroom, acting as if she were in distress.

Su Mo furrowed her brows, feeling her stomach churn even more. She turned and ran out of the private room.

Through the crowded hall, Su Mo finally made it to the restroom door, but before she could enter, she couldn’t hold it anymore and vomited. The dizziness made her feel like she was walking on clouds, and she nearly collapsed onto the floor.

As she stumbled, she saw a pair of leather shoes stop next to her.
