Rong Yi never thought he’d have to use his looks for work in such a way.
If this had happened a few weeks ago, hearing that he had to go on a blind date with an Omega would’ve definitely put him in a bad mood. But now, he actually felt somewhat relieved.
Although he had a history of quickly falling for someone new after a breakup, it always came after the end of a relationship.
Finally, an Alpha who appreciated him—Rong Yi cherished this deeply and was determined to nurture this relationship. So, with that in mind, the fact that his blind date wasn’t an Alpha meant there was nothing to worry about.
No matter how unlike an Omega he looked, in his heart, Rong Yi was the purest Omega. He had no interest in the same sex, which meant he wouldn’t be tempted or feel guilty.
But that was a matter for later. For now, having some free time at last, Rong Yi couldn’t wait to see his boyfriend.
.
He had contacted Chen Keyao earlier that morning. At the time, Rong Yi didn’t know if he would be able to find some free time, and when Chen Keyao mentioned he had a class that evening, Rong Yi had felt a bit disappointed.
But now, he was secretly delighted.
He had never seen Teacher Chen teaching a class with kids before.
Would his Alpha be surprised to see him suddenly show up?
.
Following the address Chen Keyao had given him, Rong Yi easily found the place.
As soon as he stepped inside, a staff member at the front desk warmly welcomed him. Rong Yi felt too embarrassed to say he was there to see his boyfriend, so he mumbled a few vague words, which led the staff to assume he was a parent inquiring about classes.
The staff member, eager to attract a new customer, enthusiastically led him to observe the classrooms. Rong Yi followed them a little further inside and saw several parents waiting outside the classrooms.
To make it easier for parents to observe, the classrooms had transparent glass walls facing the hallway.
When they reached the first classroom, although the teacher wasn’t Chen Keyao, Rong Yi found it hard to move on. Inside, a group of wobbling toddlers were seriously following their teacher, kicking their legs and chanting “hey hey ha ha,” which was too adorable to resist.
“This is the toddler class,” the staff member explained, noticing his interest. “How old is your child, sir?”
That depends on how old your Teacher Chen is.
Rong Yi secretly answered in his heart, suppressing his embarrassment with a light cough. He then asked, “Could you tell me where Teacher Chen Keyao’s class is?”
“Ah,” the staff member hesitated for a moment, “Teacher Chen’s classes are fully booked, but if you’d like to observe, just head down the hall and make a turn at the end.”
.
There were quite a few parents gathered outside Chen Keyao’s classroom.
When Rong Yi arrived, he realized it was almost impossible to find a good spot with a clear view. Fortunately, being tall, he didn’t have to worry about his sight being blocked.
Inside the classroom, Chen Keyao was facing away from the door, demonstrating moves for the students.
He was wearing what appeared to be the standard uniform of the training center, with the logo printed on the back, which looked a bit silly. But on his tall, sturdy frame, it somehow looked handsome.
Rong Yi had never been particularly interested in martial arts or combat-related activities and didn’t really understand what he was watching. He just thought his boyfriend’s movements were sharp, powerful, and filled with energy. When he raised his hand and threw a punch, it made Rong Yi’s heart race. The physical impact of the punches was unknown, but Mr. Rong’s heart had certainly taken a hit.
After finishing the demonstration, the previously fierce-looking Chen Keyao bent down and smiled gently at the children. “Did everyone get a good look?”
No! Please show us ten more times!
Unfortunately, separated by the glass, the kids couldn’t hear Rong Yi’s thoughts and responded in unison, dragging out their words: “Yeeees, we diiiid!”
The children inside began practicing seriously, while the parents outside grouped up and chatted enthusiastically.
Rong Yi eavesdropped and overheard quite a few conversations about Teacher Chen.
Among a group of married people, one of the most enduring topics of conversation was, unsurprisingly, someone’s love life—specifically, the love life of this eligible young man.
The actual partner of this outstanding young man was standing right there among them, but he couldn’t find a way to join the conversation, much to his frustration.
He heard someone mention that they had tried setting up Chen Keyao with their famously sweet and gentle younger sister. Unfortunately, even though the Omega girl had attended several classes with her nephew and tried to strike up a conversation, Teacher Chen had always been polite yet distant, never giving her an opening. Another person shook their head, saying they had asked directly, but before they could even show the potential date’s photo, Chen Keyao had politely declined, saying he wasn’t interested in dating at the moment.
Rong Yi felt great hearing all this.
Dating someone like this gave him such a strong sense of security.
Just as the conversation shifted to whether Teacher Chen was too gentle with the students, making it harder for them to take their learning seriously, Chen Keyao happened to glance toward the hallway.
Rong Yi stared at him through the glass, trying hard to keep his lips from curling up, but failing miserably.
Chen Keyao paused for a moment before lowering his head, smiling in response.
.
“You liar,” Chen Keyao said, shaking his head after finally changing into his regular clothes and coming out. “Didn’t you say you had to work overtime?”
“Suddenly got some free time,” Rong Yi grinned. “Teacher Chen is really popular.”
Not just the parents, even the students liked him. Even after class had ended, several kids ran up to him to say goodbye, speaking with such affection.
Being liked by children meant he was a good person. Rong Yi mentally continued to fill up the points bar associated with Chen Keyao’s name, which had long since maxed out.
“Do you want to join my class too?” Chen Keyao joked, looking at him.
I want a private one-on-one lesson with the teacher.
Afraid his smile might become too inappropriate, Rong Yi silently lowered his head.
The two of them walked side by side toward the parking lot. As soon as they got off the elevator, Chen Keyao reached out to hook his fingers with Rong Yi’s, then gradually interlaced their hands.
“It’s not too late yet, right?” Chen Keyao said, not looking at him. “It seems like we still have time to go sit somewhere?”
Rong Yi nodded.
“But you’ve been working hard for days,” Chen Keyao added.
“…Seeing you makes me feel less tired.”
It was the first time in his life that Rong Yi had spoken such a romantic line, and he was incredibly nervous. After saying it, he sneaked a glance at Chen Keyao.
Unexpectedly, Chen Keyao was also looking at him.
For a moment, their eyes met. After the initial fluster, Rong Yi couldn’t help but laugh.
Being in love was wonderful.
All the frustration and stress from the past few days disappeared so easily, wiped away in an instant. Not only did he no longer feel tired, but his mood lifted, and he even had the illusion that the whole world was at peace.
He was basking in his own joy when Chen Keyao suddenly stopped walking.
Rong Yi turned back in confusion. “Mr. Chen?”
Chen Keyao burst out laughing.
“…Mr. Chen?” he said, shaking his head while chuckling. “Is that still the right thing to call me?”
Rong Yi didn’t respond.
At first, he was seriously thinking about what would be a better way to address him. Then, he stopped thinking altogether.
The second kiss of his life left him just as dizzy as the first.
Though Rong Yi had no experience, his instincts guided him in how to respond to his beloved Alpha.
It wasn’t until the faint scent of pheromones filled the air that he snapped back to reality.
“Sorry,” Chen Keyao immediately pulled back and took a step away, shaking his head as if to clear it. “I…”
Rong Yi knew he didn’t do it on purpose.
If he had been intentional, Rong Yi would already be out of control. But even now, things were still a bit dangerous.
After all, they were in a public place. If the pheromone concentration in the air increased just a little, it could trigger the alarm system. If samples were collected, his Alpha could be in serious trouble.
Rong Yi licked his lips. “…Let’s get in the car first.”
.
Chen Keyao hesitated for a moment after opening the car door.
“I’m worried that being in an enclosed space with me right now might make you uncomfortable,” he said.
Rong Yi shook his head. “It’s fine…”
He was still relishing the memory of the kiss. That slight feeling of losing control was thrilling and left him wanting more. He could still feel the warmth of Chen Keyao’s lips and tongue, and he wanted to experience it again.
Rong Yi stared at Chen Keyao, standing by the driver’s seat, looking at his face and then at his lips. As his heart thudded wildly, he quietly took a step to the side.
He moved toward the back seat and reached out to open the door.
As he made this move, his gaze never left Chen Keyao.
And of course, Chen Keyao noticed.
And he understood.
.
In an enclosed space, even the faintest hint of Alpha pheromones could affect an Omega.
As his breathing quickened along with the heat rising in his skin, Rong Yi began to feel a bit anxious, despite initially wanting to take the lead.
The atmosphere grew increasingly charged, along with the intensifying scent in the air.
Rong Yi had only wanted more kisses. The sensation of opening up to his Alpha and losing himself in the moment was so intoxicating that he couldn’t get enough.
But this was still a public place. If things went further, Rong Yi preferred it to happen somewhere more private, somewhere that made him feel safe.
Luckily, Chen Keyao seemed to be thinking the same thing.
“You’re so sweet,” Chen Keyao murmured, pulling back slightly and resting his forehead against Rong Yi’s. “I feel like I’m losing my mind.”
Rong Yi tried to regulate his breathing and stared at him dumbly.
It turned out that he had been unknowingly releasing his own pheromones, which explained why Chen Keyao had been losing control a moment ago.
“You smell so good, it’s almost unreal,” Chen Keyao continued.
Alpha and Omega being attracted to each other’s pheromones was completely natural—what did he mean by “unreal”?
But who wouldn’t love to hear sweet words from their lover?
“You don’t feel uncomfortable with this?” Chen Keyao asked.
Rong Yi shook his head.
How could he be uncomfortable? It was pure pleasure, bringing infinite comfort and happiness.
Chen Keyao smiled. “Doesn’t that mean we’re meant to be together?”
At that moment, Rong Yi wanted to kiss him again.
But he hesitated, afraid that things would spiral out of control if he did.
Having been single for so long, he wasn’t prepared—he didn’t even have an Omega-specific emergency suppressant spray on him.
Luckily, his Alpha had thought ahead. After kissing Rong Yi on the forehead, Chen Keyao finally pulled back, leaned into the front seat, and took out a small spray bottle from the glove compartment.
After shaking it a few times, he sprayed some on his neck and then handed it to Rong Yi.
“You better use some too. I’m seriously losing control here.”
Rong Yi, still dazed, took the bottle and stared at the label in confusion.
“Is this something everyone can use?” he asked.
“What do you mean, everyone?” Chen Keyao looked at him, puzzled.
