Mutual Crush
Mutual Crush Chapter 2

“What are you staring at? I’m talking about food.”

His gaze dropped, landing on my chest, and he pointed with a slender finger.

“What’s going on here?”

I followed his gaze and looked down.

Ah!

Somehow, a small wet patch had formed on my chest.

Blushing, I hurriedly ran to the bathroom, forgetting to grab any clothes.

I don’t know when it started, but I developed a strange condition where I produce milk whenever I see Lin Yufei.

At first, it was just a drop or two, so I thought it was sweat and didn’t pay attention. But I realized that the longer I looked at him, the more it increased.

As soon as I stepped into this room filled with Lin Yufei’s presence, it started again.

I had been so immersed in the joy of living with Lin Yufei that I completely forgot about this.

Living with him every day from now on, if he finds out, won’t he think I’m some kind of pervert?

My mind was a mess, and in my distraction, I knocked over the toothbrush cup on the sink.

“Are you okay?” Lin Yufei knocked on the door after hearing the noise.

When I didn’t respond, he knocked again, this time more urgently, and pressed his face against the glass to peek inside.

“Jiang Yun? Are you alright?”

“I’m fine, just fine,” I stammered as I looked at the still-damp patch on my chest, which was now steadily leaking more.

Embarrassed and flustered, I quickly said, “I was thinking of taking a shower. Could you bring me a towel? It’s a bit warm in here.”

“Sure, just open the door a bit.”

I heard the sound of him opening my suitcase, and I peeked through a small crack in the door, watching him rummage through my things.

As expected, the moment I saw his back, the flow increased.

This is killing me.

I really need to find a cure soon!

I stared blankly at my chest, completely unaware that he was already standing in front of me.

“Jiang Yun, do you like SpongeBob?” he asked, handing me the towel.

I froze for a second, looking at the branded towel in my hand, trying to figure out what he meant by such a random question.

It wasn’t until I closed the door and saw the SpongeBob-themed underwear wrapped inside that I realized.

Mom! I’m not a kid anymore, stop buying me SpongeBob stuff!

After taking a quick shower, I changed into a new T-shirt and layered a shirt on top of it.

“Aren’t you hot?” Lin Yufei, dressed in a tank top, glanced at me.

“No, I’m not hot.” I instinctively tightened the collar of my shirt.

How could I not be hot?

But if I wore two layers, it wouldn’t be as easy to notice the problem.

As we talked, the door to the dorm opened, and two tall boys walked in.

They were obviously sports students, their skin dark from the sun.

“Hey, Fei-ge, where’d you pick up this pale little thing?”

One of the boys spun a basketball in his hands, sizing me up.

“He’s quite good-looking.”

The other boy smacked him on the head.

“Zhang Yiqi, can you watch what you say? This is the young master from his sponsor mom’s family.”

Zhang Yiqi immediately straightened up, tossed the basketball to the ground, and saluted me.

“So you’re the young master! If you need anything, just order me around. I’m at your service.”

“You’re so superficial.”

Lin Yufei kicked him on the butt.

“If you’re going to talk to the young master, you should be kneeling.”

“Exactly,” the other boy said as he hung his badminton racket on the wall, giving Zhang Yiqi another kick.

“Qi Jinlin, who asked for your opinion!”

The two started play-fighting.

Lin Yufei was about to stop them, but when he caught a glimpse of the smile on my face, he said nothing.

“Fei-ge, look! He’s bullying me!” Zhang Yiqi complained, hiding behind Lin Yufei and pushing him forward.

I watched Lin Yufei join in their roughhousing, smiling.

I silently vowed to cure my strange condition soon. That way, the next time someone picks on me, I can hide behind Lin Yufei too.

Hmm, maybe I could even hide in his arms.

“Hey, young master, tell me about the life of the rich!” Zhang Yiqi teased.

I was beginning to like Zhang Yiqi, so I invited him and Qi Jinlin to join us for dinner.

“You can hear about it, but you won’t live it,” Qi Jinlin teased him back.

But my sharp instincts told me that his feelings for Zhang Yiqi weren’t so simple.

“Who cares what you think?” Zhang Yiqi yelled at Qi Jinlin.

“I just want to hear about it. I heard from Zhang Qi that your mom gave a red envelope with 10,000 yuan to the three of them at the start of the semester to take care of you. Is that true?”

Lin Yufei kicked him.

“Since when did you become interested in gossip?”

“Fei-ge!” Zhang Yiqi frowned. “I just wanted to know if Zhang Qi was bragging.”

Lin Yufei glanced at me.

I felt another few drops soak through my shirt and quickly lowered my head.

Thinking I was upset, Lin Yufei kicked Zhang Yiqi twice more on the butt.

“Shut up.”

His tone was displeased.

“Okay, okay. I’ll shut up.” Zhang Yiqi made a motion of zipping his lips and fell silent.

But then he saw the QR code I held out to him.

“Young master, what’s this?”

“Add me on WeChat, and I’ll secretly tell you how much red envelope money my mom gave them.”

Zhang Yiqi blinked at me, then at Lin Yufei, nervously swallowing.

“Fei-ge, can I add him?”

My excuse was pretty weak, but thankfully, no one noticed.

I added the three roommates to my contacts, though in reality, I only cared about adding Lin Yufei.

I’d been holding back for nearly a year, but now that we were living together, I had to be brave.

First, I needed to figure out his orientation, then slowly gain his favor, and finally win him over.

And adding him on WeChat to observe his moments was the first step in my plan.

“Mr. Jiang, welcome.”

The waiter at the restaurant greeted me, opening the door.

“Wow, the waiter knows you?” Zhang Yiqi exclaimed, slinging his arm around my shoulder.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Qi Jinlin’s eyes flash briefly before he quickly concealed his expression.

Before I could respond, Lin Yufei pushed Zhang Yiqi’s arm off my shoulder.

“Jiang Yun’s a clean freak. Keep your dirty hands off him.”

Then, without hesitation, he grabbed my wrist.

“Let’s go. We’re not eating here.”

The waiter, mid-conversation on his radio, looked up to see me being dragged out of the door, unsure what had just happened.
