My Biological Mother Is Actually the Pregnant-Runaway Villainess! Chapter 27

Chapter 27: Have I Ever Tried to Seduce You?

Not long after Yue Su put Yao Yao down, she woke up.

After a good nap, feeling refreshed, she nestled in Yue Su’s arms, acting all spoiled and adorable.

The viewers watching the livestream couldn’t stop exclaiming how cute and sweet she was, wishing they could scoop Yao Yao into their arms and smother her with kisses.

Although Yao Yao didn’t have a Weibo account, she was very active on the short video platform DouDou, and her account had already posted quite a few videos.

Since Yue Su hadn’t deliberately hidden it before, many netizens easily tracked it down. Her follower count was now skyrocketing and had already surpassed one million.

The most popular video, shot three months ago, had already racked up over two million likes.

“Mommy, I’m hungry,” Yao Yao said.

It was already noon, but no one had eaten lunch yet.

Not only was Yao Yao hungry, but a few other kids outside were also complaining about their empty stomachs.

Carrying her in her arms, Yue Su said, “Let’s hand over the things we collected to the production team first. Then, I’ll take you to the supermarket to get some bread to fill your tummy.”

Hearing this, Jiang Wanting turned to look over.

“Yue Su, why isn’t Teacher Yi back yet?”

Yue Su shook her head. “I’m not sure.”

Jiang Wanting clicked her tongue. “That’s it?”

“Should there be more?” Yue Su was confused by her reaction.

Jiang Wanting let out a laugh of disbelief. “You’re in the same group as Teacher Yi. How could you not know where she is?”

Yue Su suddenly understood and explained, “I’m not in the same group as Teacher Yi. You misunderstood.”

Jiang Wanting’s face changed drastically, and she instinctively glanced at Fu Xijin.

Then she remembered that he and Yue Su hadn’t returned at the same time, so maybe they weren’t in the same group.

“Ah Jin, were you in the same group as Teacher Yi?” she asked.

Fu Xijin didn’t respond. He just glanced at the bucket of honey.

“Half each?” he asked.

Yue Su nodded without any objection.

“Fine,” Fu Xijin agreed.

Jiang Wanting’s face turned pale, and her voice rose sharply. “Why are you two in the same group?”

Yue Su replied calmly, “We were assigned that way.”

Jiang Wanting looked extremely displeased but couldn’t question Yue Su directly in front of so many cameras.

While she stayed silent, Shen Junzai wasn’t about to let such a golden opportunity slip by.

He let out a mocking laugh and sneered at Yue Su, “You sure went to a lot of trouble. You even swapped partners with Teacher Yuan. I wonder what kind of deal you offered him to make him agree?”

Just then, Yuan Jin and Yi Xia returned.

Although they looked a bit disheveled, they were carrying a bucket of honey, faces full of joy.

As they approached, they overheard Shen Junzai’s remarks and paused.

Yuan Jin looked utterly confused and asked, “What deal did I make? President Shen, there are so many cameras here. You should be careful with baseless accusations.”

Shen Junzai showed no hint of guilt at being exposed; instead, he self-righteously demanded, “Then explain, why are Yue Su and President Fu in the same group?”

He was just short of outright accusing Yue Su of scheming to switch groups for ulterior motives.

Jiang Wanting stood there, full of grievance, biting her lip in silence.

She had thought that after all her warnings, Fu Xijin would stay away.

She hadn’t expected Yue Su to still find an opening.

Yi Xia stepped forward to explain, “I originally wanted to switch with Teacher Yuan. I went to ask him specifically, but Director Liang directly reassigned us. If you don’t believe me, you can ask the production team. When we left, Yue Su probably didn’t even know about it yet.”

The production team clearly just wanted to stir up drama and create buzz for the show.

And by the looks of it, they had succeeded.

Yuan Jin nodded in agreement, backing up Yi Xia’s words. “When Teacher Yi approached me, she suggested I team up with Yue Su. I agreed.”

Jiang Wanting’s face froze awkwardly. “Seems like we misunderstood. Good that it’s cleared up.”

Yi Xia gave her a cold glance.

“If it’s all cleared up, then what about President Shen’s baseless accusations against Yue Su and Teacher Yuan? Just let it slide?”

Shen Junzai curled his lips into a faint sneer. “I was merely making a reasonable suspicion. If you don’t say anything, how would I know?”

Yuan Jin chuckled angrily. “Since you didn’t know, why immediately assume Yue Su was scheming to pair up with President Fu?”

Shen Junzai’s eyes revealed a mocking glint as he gave Yue Su a look full of insinuation.

“Given someone’s history, who knows why she joined this show.”

“For what reason?” Yue Su suddenly asked.

Shen Junzai paused, about to speak, but Fu Xijin shot him a glance, and he immediately shut up.

Yue Su asked again, “Why don’t you say it, President Shen? Why did I join this show?”

Before Shen Junzai could answer, Yue Su suddenly laughed.

“I get it now — it’s for President Fu, right?”

Everyone on the show knew about the past between Yue Su and Fu Xijin.

But they all tacitly agreed not to bring it up.

Or at least, they only dared to mention it around Yue Su, never directly in front of Fu Xijin.

Yue Su gritted her teeth, tilting her head to look at Fu Xijin.

“You can’t just pick on me because President Fu is wealthy. President Fu, have I ever tried to seduce you?”

【OMG! OMG!!!】

【Yue Su is seriously bold!】

【Setting aside the past, Yue Su really is being wronged today. She literally followed the production team’s arrangements.】

【Correction: even back then, there was never concrete evidence that Yue Su tried to seduce President Fu, right?】

Back when the scandal broke out, it was mainly because Yue Su had become famous.

She had once stood in front of Whale Corporation’s building on a snowy night, calling to see Fu Xijin, waiting there all night.

But even the paparazzi hadn’t managed to capture a single photo of them together, much less any proof of her “seduction.”

“I left the entertainment industry for four years. During that time, did I ever seek out President Fu once? Before joining this show, did the production team ever tell me he would be here? Did I come here for him?”

A series of sharp questions rendered everyone on the scene speechless.

Yue Su tore away the last fig leaf, exposing the raw truth underneath.

Fu Xijin lifted his eyes, meeting hers.

“No, never, and no.”

Yue Su’s gaze remained calm, her heart like still water.

It was as if a festering wound had been cut open, revealing fresh blood and flesh.

Back then, when she was surrounded by scandals and cursed by everyone, even when people sent funeral wreaths to her, she had never tried to distance herself from Fu Xijin.

She stubbornly refused to deny the existence of “A Jin,” wanting to protect those past memories.

Yue Su turned away, gazing out at the vast ocean, struggling to appear unaffected.

Why should she always be the one getting cursed?

Just because she was powerless and without influence, she deserved to be insulted, bullied, and treated like a scapegoat?

“President Shen, did you hear that?”

In the stifling silence, Shen Junzai was suddenly called out.

For once, he looked flustered, unsure how to respond.

Jiang Wanting opened her mouth but her throat was dry.

She hadn’t expected Yue Su to dare tear open the wound so publicly.

“President Shen spoke too rashly. Everyone understands the situation now, Yue Su, don’t take it to heart,” Jiang Wanting said awkwardly.

Yue Su smiled faintly. “I don’t think everyone quite understands yet. After thinking it over, I still believe it’s necessary to make it absolutely clear.”

Jiang Wanting gave a forced laugh.

Shen Junzai’s eyelids drooped, hiding the malice in his eyes, but his tone remained sharp.

“This time it was a misunderstanding. But what about a few years ago, when you relentlessly chased after President Fu? Was that also a misunderstanding?”

Jiang Wanting hurriedly interrupted, “President Shen, that’s enough. Why bring up the past?”

Shen Junzai sneered coldly. “I just can’t stand people who act like a saint after being the other woman.”
