My Biological Mother Is Actually the Pregnant-Runaway Villainess! Chapter 8

Chapter 8: I Feel Too Embarrassed to Point it Out

The ship sailed slowly on the sea, and the process was indeed a bit boring.

But for Yao Yao, who had never seen the sea, pressing her little face against the window was an incredibly novel experience.

“Mom, are there dolphins here?”

Wang Qi turned around and smiled, seeing Yao Yao’s little face almost squished into a round pancake on the window.

“Yes, there are. There’s a famous dolphin bay nearby where there are many dolphins. Whether you can see them depends on luck.”

Yao Yao’s eyes brightened, and in a soft voice, she said, “I have great luck! I’ve heard dolphins can even be pink!”

Nao Nao stood up again, “Pink dolphins aren’t that easy to see. I’ve gone out to sea many times and still haven’t seen one.”

“Wow! Sis, you’ve been to the beach many times, that’s amazing!” Yao Yao exclaimed, cupping her little face in awe.

Nao Nao’s face flushed red. She was a bit shy under Yao Yao’s enthusiastic gaze.

“Why, haven’t you been to the beach before?”

“No, this is my first time.”

Nao Nao climbed down from her seat, ran over to Yao Yao, and grabbed her hand, saying she wanted to go to the deck.

Yue Su opened her mouth to refuse; the wind was strong over there, and it would be too dangerous for kids to go.

But seeing the longing expression on Yao Yao’s face, it was obvious that she really wanted to go out and see.

Wang Qi said, “It’s fine to go up and have a look. We’ll go with you.”

Yao Yao pouted, “Mom, can we?”

“Yes, let’s go.”

Yue Su couldn’t let go, holding Yao Yao as they headed to the deck.

Wang Qi, meanwhile, took Nao Nao’s hand. “President Fu, I’ll take Nao Nao up to have a look.”

“Mm.”

The wind was strong on the deck, and Yue Su took out a small yellow duck hat from her pocket, putting it on Yao Yao before gently placing her down.

Yao Yao grabbed the railing and looked at the ship’s wake on the water, her gaze drifting to the distant horizon.

The sea and sky merged into one, endless.

“Mom, no dolphins,” she said, a little disappointed.

Nao Nao, however, was calmer. “Dolphins aren’t that easy to see. It all depends on luck.”

Yao Yao emphasized, “I have great luck!”

Nao Nao pouted, “You’re just a little kid, and already bragging.”

Yao Yao huffed and pouted, ignoring her.

Just then, Han Si came out.

“President Fu said we’re close to the dolphin bay, so we’ll stop here for a while to see if we can spot some dolphins.”

No sooner had he finished speaking, the ship really did stop.

The sunny weather, the deep blue sea, the blue sky, and the white clouds—it was a picturesque view.

Yao Yao stared intently at the sea, murmuring, “Here they come.”

Nao Nao, bending slightly, asked, “What did you say?”

Before she could finish, something suddenly broke the surface of the calm sea.

A few dolphins jumped gracefully out of the water, swirling around the ship.

Nao Nao’s eyes widened. This was her first time seeing dolphins up close!

“Dolphins, there really are dolphins! Uncle, I see dolphins!”

Yao Yao grabbed Yue Su’s leg, her little feet hurting from the effort.

“Mom, pick me up, I want to see too!”

Yue Su picked her up, and the view immediately opened up.

“Wow, so many dolphins! They’re so cute!”

Yao Yao was dancing and shouting excitedly, her joy as overwhelming as a southerner seeing snow for the first time.

Wang Qi and Li Cheng couldn’t help but take out their phones to film; it was their first time seeing dolphins up close as well.

When they zoomed in, a dreamlike pink flash passed by.

Wang Qi screamed, “Pink! Pink dolphins!”

Even Yue Su couldn’t stay calm; she had never seen pink dolphins before either!

“Uncle! Uncle, hurry, record it for me! I want to show Mom!” Nao Nao shouted anxiously, afraid she would miss it.

Fu Xijin leaned lazily against the side, sunlight casting on him, exuding a lazy and carefree demeanor.

After responding lazily, he took out his phone and started recording a video for Nao Nao. When he saw Yue Su and Yao Yao’s figures appear in the shot, his gaze paused for a moment.

Yao Yao giggled, her hair tousled by the wind, the ends of her hair lightly brushing her cheek.

She suddenly stretched out her small hand, and a dolphin leaped near the ship, kissing her little hand.

Yao Yao’s heart almost leapt out of her chest, her eyes sparkling, her face flushed.

“Mom, it wants to play with us, you should reach out your hand.”

Hearing this, Yue Su stretched out her hand as well, and the pink dolphin leaped again, gently pressing against her palm.

She could almost hear her heartbeat pounding like a drum, laughing out loud just like Yao Yao.

Nao Nao was jumping up and down in place, wishing she could play with the dolphins too!

How jealous she was!

Thankfully, Yao Yao didn’t forget her, waving at her.

“Sis, come here!”

Nao Nao ran over, her braids flying behind her.

Yao Yao twisted her body, jumping out of Yue Su’s arms to grab Nao Nao’s hand.

“Sis, quickly reach out!”

Nao Nao stretched out her hand just like Yao Yao, and soon, she got a dolphin kiss too.

She excitedly shouted, “Uncle, hurry and take a picture! I touched a dolphin!”

Such a stunning scene made Wang Qi and Li Cheng also step forward, eager for a close interaction with the dolphins.

However, compared to them, the dolphins seemed to prefer Yao Yao, as they mostly circled around her.

But this didn’t stop Nao Nao from enjoying herself.

Thanks to the dolphins, their journey was delayed by half an hour before they finally set off again.

When they returned to the cabin, Han Si had brought some fruit.

After their earlier interaction, Nao Nao and Yao Yao had already started to form a bond of friendship.

As soon as they got the fruit, Nao Nao eagerly handed a blueberry to Yao Yao.

“Yao Yao, this blueberry is really sweet.”

Yao Yao hesitated for a moment before shaking her head. “I don’t eat blueberries.”

Nao Nao tilted her head, looking at her. “Why not?”

“Because I…” Yao Yao hesitated.

“Because Yao Yao doesn’t like blueberries,” Yue Su finished the sentence for her.

Nao Nao immediately understood, then happily handed her a slice of wax apple.

“I thought you were like my uncle, allergic to blueberries.”

Yao Yao moved her lips, her delicate face thoughtful but silent.

The rest of the journey was quiet, with only occasional sounds from Nao Nao chattering away.

When the ship finally docked, Wang Qi stood up first. “Miss Yue, you and Yao Yao can disembark first.”

Yue Su nodded.

Yao Yao rested her chin on her mother’s shoulder as they passed by Fu Xijin, glancing at him. However, she didn’t smile at him like before.

When their figures disappeared from his sight, Fu Xijin finally withdrew his gaze.

“Uncle, did you send my pictures to Mom?”

Fu Xijin responded casually, “I sent them.”

He opened WeChat and received a reply from Fu Zhenxin just in time.

Fu Zhenxin: 【[Smiling] Is this your daughter in the video? I feel too embarrassed to point it out.】

Fu Xijin casually clicked on the sent video, zooming in and out.

The figures of Yue Su and Yao Yao were in the center, with Nao Nao looking somewhat aggrieved in the bottom right, appearing intermittently.

He closed his phone and looked out at the sea.

A fleeting image flashed in his mind, but he couldn’t grasp it, and he inexplicably felt a sense of unease.

Though he seemed cold and indifferent, ever since Yue Su’s appearance, it felt as though there was an invisible thread tying his emotions to her.
