Shang Fuyan placed the books on the coffee table and stepped back.
He lowered his gaze, looking at Song Xi, who was standing motionless by the door, and softly said, “I’m leaving.”
Song Xi replied, “Then… drive safely.”
“Okay.” The man’s lips curved slightly, “Remember to lock the door.”
He turned and walked into the elevator, descending and leaving.
Song Xi patted her flushed cheeks with both hands, wondering why she had such inappropriate thoughts about him.
She really was a big glutton.
The books Shang Fuyan gave her numbered about thirty. Most of them were ones she hadn’t read before, and there were indeed two romance novels among them.
He really understood her.
Song Xi couldn’t help but smile, thinking how considerate and perceptive he was.
To show her gratitude, Song Xi decided to give him a gift as well, which would also help her find out his address.
A win-win situation.
Song Xi felt surrounded by pink bubbles…
After returning home, Shang Fuyan consulted an experienced traditional Chinese medicine practitioner.
It turned out that menstrual cramps could be related to regularly consuming cold drinks, but it wasn’t absolute.
Many young girls suffered from menstrual cramps before marriage, but after getting married, the problem often disappeared.
More accurately, after giving birth.
Shang Fuyan fell silent, unsure how to respond.
However, he learned that massaging the soles of the feet could help, as there are pressure points on the feet that connect to the pelvic area, effectively relieving menstrual cramps.
By the time he went to bed, Shang Fuyan hadn’t received any messages from Song Xi. He wondered if she would like the books he gave her.

The next day, Song Xi woke up naturally.
She no longer felt any pain or discomfort. When she was alone, she prioritized comfort.
After warming up a cup of hot milk, Song Xi started her work for the day.
She had to update her serialized novel, working hard for her eager readers.
Before she knew it, it was already noon. She planned to meet her best friend for lunch.
Zheng Shuyan was the top salesperson at their real estate office, a force to be reckoned with in the company. She had a bold personality and wouldn’t hesitate to confront anyone she didn’t like.
No matter what, she would fight until the other person was thoroughly beaten.
Song Xi admired her. With such a personality, how could she ever be at a disadvantage?
But in reality, it wasn’t the case.
Zheng Shuyan had liked a boy since she was a teenager, but his family was poor, and he had even considered dropping out of school.
Facing this situation, Zheng Shuyan made a bold decision. She dropped out of high school to support the boy’s education.
This decision led to a rift with her family.
Now, that boy was studying abroad, mostly funded by Zheng Shuyan.
Song Xi wasn’t entirely supportive of this, but she didn’t want to say anything directly. She had hinted a couple of times.
Zheng Shuyan always confidently declared that her future boyfriend would become successful. When that happened, she would quit her job to be a full-time housewife and have a bunch of kids for him.
Song Xi found these ideas unrealistic but didn’t want to speak ill of others behind their backs.
As a teacher, she had to be mindful of her words and actions, avoiding any inappropriate behavior.
They met at a restaurant on the fifth floor of a mall.
Zheng Shuyan was wearing a bright red outfit, matching her vibrant personality.
Seeing Song Xi, her smile couldn’t be contained, “Teacher Song, praise me, go on, praise me!”
“Baby, you’re so capable.”
Zheng Shuyan instantly turned into a fan, clinging to her arm, “Keep praising me, I love it!”
Song Xi couldn’t help but laugh, “You’re so amazing!”
Zheng Shuyan was overjoyed, a mischievous smile spreading across her face, “If you said those words to a man, he’d give you his life.”
Was it really that exaggerated?
Song Xi was used to Zheng Shuyan’s over-the-top comments. She had heard even bolder and more stimulating ones, to the point of being shocking. This was just a minor issue.
They held hands and went to a Japanese restaurant.
Zheng Shuyan had pre-ordered the meal online, and the total cost was around 123 yuan.
While waiting for the food, Song Xi ordered two cups of milk tea, which would be delivered by a food delivery person.
Actually, the milk tea shop was right across from the Japanese restaurant. She did this purely because the delivery option was cheaper, saving about 7 or 8 yuan.
Zheng Shuyan couldn’t contain her excitement, recounting her achievements at the real estate office, “I can earn tens of thousands this month. After getting paid, I’ll transfer 100,000 to Wei, and I’ll save the rest as my dowry.”
Song Xi listened without commenting, a good listener.
Zheng Shuyan pulled out her phone, which had a cracked screen, and showed Song Xi, “Look, isn’t my Wei more handsome now?”
Song Xi smiled but didn’t speak.
She knew Xu Jiawei, a tall 180 cm man with a bit of baby fat on his face, who wasn’t particularly handsome.
In her writing, only men over 188 cm could be the main characters.
Song Xi jokes, “You have a love brain.”
“So what if I have a love brain? I like Wei. He’s smart, wise, well-educated, and gentle. I won’t marry anyone else in my life.”
Zheng Shuyan then focused on Song Xi, raising an eyebrow, “Are you still thinking about the boy you had a crush on in college? He probably has a girlfriend by now.”
Song Xi laughed lightly, “I recently went on a blind date.”
“What?” Zheng Shuyan was almost incredulous, “You could accept such a feudal tradition?”
Song Xi nodded, “It wasn’t as awkward as I imagined. I think it went pretty well.”
Zheng Shuyan looked like the sky was falling, propping her chin with her hand as if looking at a hopeless VIP patient, “You usually seem so smart, why are you so pessimistic?”
Song Xi didn’t argue, continuing, “He’s a university professor, and I plan to get to know him better.”
“Do you have a photo?”
“Not yet.”
“Alright, it’s just a conversation, and there’s no guarantee it will work out. But I have to warn you, don’t rush into anything. You’ll regret it if you do.”
Song Xi selectively listened to her friend’s advice, always keeping the initiative in her own hands.
The waiter brought free ice cream, but Song Xi declined, giving her portion to Zheng Shuyan.
Just then, the delivery person arrived with the milk tea.
One cup was black sugar boba with real milk, and the other was green grape with extra fruit, both for Zheng Shuyan.
Zheng Shuyan took a few sips, then looked at the hot drink in front of Song Xi, “Why did you suddenly change your taste?”
