Chapter 12: Turning

“After all these years, I still lost to you miserably.”

His voice was filled with sorrow.

“Yi Chen, what are you talking about? Are you drunk?” she asked uneasily.

There was silence. Then, he suddenly pushed her away. His beautiful eyes flashed with embarrassment and anger in the dark night as he coldly and soberly said, “I’m not drunk. I’m crazy.”

He turned and disappeared as suddenly as he had appeared. If not for the lingering pain on her lips, she would have thought it was nothing more than an absurd dream.

She picked up the key from the ground and opened the door but stood there motionless after entering. If the phone hadn’t suddenly rung, she wouldn’t have known how long she would have remained frozen in place.

As soon as she picked up the call, she heard the Flower Fairy’s excited voice.

“Mo Sheng, how did it go over there?”

“What?” Mo Sheng was momentarily confused.

“Tell me quickly—did Dr. Zheng say anything? Did he ask to meet you again?”

“No.”

“How is that possible?” the Flower Fairy screamed.

“He clearly looked very satisfied!”People were probably satisfied with someone who listened to his special lecture on Heart Disease and Love in such a cooperative manner.

“What about you?” Mo Sheng ignored her complaint and asked directly.

“He asked me to go to the movies tomorrow! Hehehe…” A terrifying laugh came from the other end of the line. “Mo Sheng, starting tomorrow, I’m going to act like a lady!”
