Chapter 50: Torrential Rain
Jiang Si let out a startled cry, and everyone instantly woke up, grabbing their weapons and standing at the ready.
Then they saw Jiang Si cover her mouth in excitement and say,
“A yacht! A small yacht was swept in by the flood and got stuck in front of the house. Everyone, hurry—let’s get on board!”
A yacht?!
Heavens!
What kind of ridiculous luck was this?!
Lu Zhifeng could hardly believe his ears.
Holding Niuniu, he walked over and sure enough—there it was, a shiny, brand-new yacht, wedged in front of the house.
Jiang Linhai even added with caution,
“Let’s be careful—there might be people on it!”
Everyone’s joyful expressions instantly turned serious and alert. In contrast, Qin Shen remained calm as ever, his face unchanging.
Jiang Si met his dark eyes and suddenly felt a little guilty.
Did he notice something?
When she had summoned the luxury yacht, she had been very careful to watch him. Jiang Linhai had also kept an eye on him and whispered reminders in her ear.
There was no way Qin Shen saw anything.
Maybe he’s just one of those unshakable types, she thought.
Jiang Si withdrew her gaze and grabbed her gun.
“I’ll go check it out first.”
Qin Shen stepped forward,
“I’ll go with you.”
Shen Baoying glanced at Jiang Linhai and smirked—a total CP fangirl expression.
Qin Shen was clearly worried about Jiang Si.
Using climbing ropes, Jiang Si and Qin Shen boarded the luxury yacht.
Aside from some mud and fallen leaves on the exterior, the yacht was clean inside—clearly untouched by people.
Jiang Si knew for a fact the yacht was empty, but with Qin Shen around, she had to act cautious.
This yacht, while the smallest model among the luxury ones she bought, still had all the high-end features: three decks, an apartment, kitchen, dining area, library, gym, guest rooms, a relaxation area, massage room…
As they explored each area, Jiang Si would give a little “surprised” gasp each time to stay in character as someone discovering a lucky break.
Qin Shen, however, remained unfazed—as calm as if it were his own home.
Once they had checked all the areas, Jiang Si led him into the storage room. Inside were neatly arranged food supplies she had stored in advance—everything they might need, enough to last at least half a year.
She hadn’t put in more because she feared that once the floodwaters receded, Lu Zhifeng or Qin Shen might get ideas about hauling it all away.
Aside from the food, there was a second storage room filled with medicine, toiletries, cosmetics, and other daily necessities.
Jiang Si glanced at Qin Shen and said cheerfully,
“We’ve hit the jackpot. With this much stuff, we can stretch it out for a long time.”
Qin Shen looked at her, lips curling slightly,
“We definitely got lucky.”
His eyes were deep and unreadable, leaving Jiang Si slightly unsettled. She blurted out,
“Have you stayed on a luxury yacht before?”
A surgeon like him probably doesn’t go yachting for fun, she thought.
To her surprise, Qin Shen nodded.
“Yes.”
Jiang Si was too curious to resist,
“You don’t strike me as the kind of person who goes yachting.”
Qin Shen raised an eyebrow.
“You’re right.”
And left it at that.
Jiang Si wanted to press further but stopped herself—didn’t want to seem too interested.
After a while, Jiang Si and Qin Shen reappeared at the yacht’s bow, prompting everyone to breathe a collective sigh of relief.
Jiang Linhai asked,
“Any leaks on the yacht?”
Jiang Si smiled and praised his acting in her head.
“No issues. And there’s lots of good stuff on board—lucky us!”
One by one, everyone climbed aboard. But once they saw the interior of the yacht, they were completely stunned.
This was next-level luxury!
It was the first time in their lives any of them had been on such a fancy yacht.
Sinking into a thousands-of-yuan Italian leather sofa, they felt like they could fly from joy.
If not for the terrible world outside, this place would feel like heaven.
It had everything—better than their own homes.
The only downside? No electricity. They could only go with the current, not against it. If the current was strong, even stopping would be difficult.
But this model of yacht was highly stable—almost impossible to capsize. Jiang Si had chosen the most durable one available.
Shen Baoying excitedly explored the massive kitchen. Dahei and Xiaohei romped in the hallway. Zhang Qingfang admired the indoor garden planter and thought it perfect for farming. Jiang Linhai was thrilled by the training room. Niuniu discovered a swing, and Lu Zhifeng stood in a daze like he was dreaming, pinching himself hard.
After everyone had explored, Jiang Si said,
“There are many rooms here. For better observation of the surroundings, I suggest everyone choose a room by the window.”
“Got it.”
Jiang Si picked a room on the third floor. Qin Shen picked the one next to hers.
After showering and lying down in bed, Jiang Si finally relaxed. But then—a sharp pain suddenly spread across her chest.
She sat up abruptly, realizing something was wrong. She wanted to get to her mom before she fainted.
Just as she stepped out of her room, she bumped into Qin Shen, who had just come out of his.
He looked at her and immediately noticed something was off.
“Need help?”
Jiang Si remembered how he had massaged her for two hours the day before and quickly shook her head,
“No, I’m fine.”
She forced herself past him and knocked on Shen Baoying and Jiang Linhai’s door.
But in just a few steps, the pain was unbearable. Sweat drenched her forehead. Her chest felt like it was on fire.
She grabbed her mother’s hand,
“Mom… give me a massage…”
Shen Baoying hurriedly helped her to bed, but in her panic, she couldn’t remember the right technique.
She tried pressing Jiang Si’s shoulders and arms, but nothing worked. The pain only worsened, and sweat poured down even more.
Jiang Linhai tried too, but Jiang Si screamed in agony.
This pain was unlike anything from yesterday. It was like her body was being tortured on purpose.
She didn’t faint this time. She was fully conscious, forced to endure the torment.
Shen Baoying was overwhelmed with worry.
“Sisi, let’s call Qin Shen, okay?”
Jiang Si no longer cared.
“Okay… go…”
Just as Jiang Linhai opened the door, Qin Shen appeared at the entrance—with the others.
Grandma and Grandpa anxiously asked,
“Is Sisi in pain again?”
Jiang Linhai didn’t even answer. He grabbed Qin Shen and pulled him inside.
“Xiao Shen, please—we need your help.”
Qin Shen stood at the head of the bed. From Jiang Si’s perspective, his refined and handsome features looked almost godlike.
He knelt with one knee on the bed, reached out, and began pressing her shoulder—applying just the right pressure.
The pain almost immediately began to ease.
Compared to Shen Baoying and Jiang Linhai’s attempts, Qin Shen’s touch was miraculously effective. Jiang Si was stunned.
Qin Shen asked,
“How does that feel?”
Jiang Si’s face turned slightly red.
“Not bad…”
He adjusted the pressure slightly—and Jiang Si let out a soft, relieved moan.
It… felt weirdly good.
