Natural Disasters Sweep the World: While Everyone Escapes, I Have Billions in Supplies Chapter 66

Chapter 66: Luxury Car

Not sure what their boss was planning, the underlings were confused. While they hesitated, Cheng Tianlai approached Jiang Si and her group with a grinning, carefree demeanor and said:

“The apocalypse is a test of life and death for all of us. Huaguoyuan is still relatively safe, and we have spare houses where you can stay. The surrounding gardens and lawns can be used to grow crops.

Here’s the deal: you stay, I’ll provide the seeds, and once you harvest food, just give me 10% of it. In return, I’ll guarantee your safety within Huaguoyuan—no one will dare harm you.”

It all sounded generous on the surface. But in truth, they could have just tied them up, forced them to farm, and taken all the food.

The fact that Cheng Tianlai was willing to let them keep 90% of the harvest? That was suspicious in itself.

Even back in ancient times, when landlords had the chance to exploit peasants, they didn’t even leave a single grain behind. These guys clearly didn’t look like saints either.

Without hesitation, Jiang Si rejected the offer on behalf of the group:

“No need.”

Hearing this, Cheng Tianlai kept trying to persuade her:

“It’s getting dark. Even if you don’t want to stay and farm, at least take a break here. Think about it tomorrow.”

Jiang Si had originally planned to find a house in the villa district to rest for the night. But after seeing how dangerous this group was, there was no way she was letting everyone sleep with constant fear hanging over them.

Better to just find a big tree and pitch a tent.

When Cheng Tianlai saw that Jiang Si’s resolve wasn’t wavering—and that everyone else clearly followed her lead—his expression darkened. He finally dropped the facade and threatened:

“I offered you a way to live, and you refuse?
Don’t blame me for being rude then.”

His men instantly got fired up again, itching to rush over and rob Jiang Si’s group on the spot to see what valuables they had.

Jiang Si let out a cold laugh.

“That’s exactly what I was going to say.”

A young girl talking big—Cheng Tianlai found it amusing. He stared at her delicate features with naked hostility, like a beast who had shed all traces of humanity.

Jiang Si’s heart sank.

His expression was identical to those cannibalistic beasts from her past life.
And the one thing she despised the most were those who ate human flesh.

Originally, if they were just trying to rob her, she might have spared their lives.

But now, a horrific memory surfaced—of Shen Baoying’s mangled body, the flesh carved from her legs, her bloodied face, and skeletal remains.

Jiang Si had arrived too late in her past life and never got to see her one last time.

“Bang—!”

Her expression darkened like never before. She drew her gun with unmatched speed and fired.

Cheng Tianlai was shot square in the forehead, his eyes wide with shock as he collapsed.

His underlings were startled, then immediately scattered in fear.

But Jiang Si didn’t stop.

One by one, she gunned them downno mercy, no hesitation.

She looked like a goddess of slaughter descended upon the earth—cold, emotionless, terrifying.

Niuniu was frightened and instinctively clung to Lu Zhifeng.

Only now did the group realize that something was off with Jiang Si—she had suddenly turned into a merciless killing machine.

Shen Baoying grabbed Jiang Si’s raised hand, worried sick.

“Si Si? Si Si?”

Jiang Si snapped out of the nightmare from her past life and looked down at the pile of corpses. Forcing a smile, she said:

“Mom, I’m fine.”

But that smile was more painful than tears—full of grief and bitterness, like a bottomless whirlpool in the depths of the sea.

Shen Baoying guessed that something from Jiang Si’s past had left her with deep emotional scars. She had just hidden it well all this time.

Eyes red, she comforted her:

“It’s okay… as long as you’re alright.”
Then gently asked, “Are we still staying here tonight?”

They had already killed everyone. Night had fallen.

Jiang Si nodded.

“Yes. We’ll stay.”

The group entered Huaguoyuan. After confirming that one of the villas was empty, they climbed in through a window.

It was a luxurious four-story mansion. From the extravagant decor, it was clear the owner had been extremely wealthy.

There was even an entire floor dedicated to entertainment. The mansion had a vehicle lift for luxury cars, so the ones parked on the third and fourth floors had avoided damage from flooding or rain.

Mercedes-Benz and Land Rovers were the lower-end models here.
Ferraris, Rolls-Royces, Lamborghinis—they were all lined up in color-coded rows.

Jiang Si had been a coach at an extreme sports club and had met plenty of rich people, but even she had never seen so many supercars in one place.

If you didn’t know better, you’d think it was a luxury car dealership.

In the apocalypse, flashy cars were useless—unless you were in a well-maintained base.

The moment Jiang Si saw the collection, she instinctively began searching for an RV (recreational vehicle).

Now that the electromagnetic storm had passed, she didn’t need to pull out the RV stored in her space.
If she found a functioning one, they could leave openly without hiding.

She’d already scoped out the roads—they seemed passable.
Driving meant less exhaustion, more rest, and better odds of avoiding danger.

At the very back of the fourth floor, she found an RV—likely rarely used, which was why it had been parked so deep inside.

They lit candles to explore since the electrical systems inside the villa had been destroyed despite the storm subsiding.

The RV was even bigger and more luxurious than the one she had rented and stored in her space.
Fully equipped: beds, stove, fridge, sink, sofa, dining table and chairs, air conditioning, TV, you name it.

It even had clearly defined zones: driving area, living space, bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen.

There were also emergency supplies inside—gasoline, induction cookers, outdoor gear, climbing equipment, and more.

When everyone got in and turned on the ignition, seeing the RV’s condition made them all cheer.

After losing the yacht, they now had another mobile home.

Though cramped for so many people, the RV gave them a sense of security again.

Using the RV’s stove, Shen Baoying made a hearty dinner. Everyone ate their fill, then began collecting supplies.

With so many luxury cars here, even just draining their gas tanks would give them enough fuel for a long time.

Jiang Si had plenty of gasoline stored in her spatial space—but more was always welcome.

Suddenly, a shrill, ghostly wail echoed across the silent night.

The sound sent chills down Shen Baoying’s spine. She nudged Jiang Linhai.

“Honey, did you hear something weird?”

Before he could answer, the wailing got louder outside the house.

Shen Baoying swallowed nervously and looked out the window—
Across from their mansion was another luxurious villa.

And the eerie, ghost-like cries were coming from inside.

Jiang Si, judging from experience, guessed that the cries were probably from victims the previous gang had imprisoned there
and now that they saw light in Jiang Si’s house, they were calling for help.
