Gu Rong was a cub of action. He said he would steal… ahem, borrow, and he would borrow.
The cub immediately used the [Hanged Little Ghost] identity card. His soul left his body, and his body instantly fell asleep, slumping onto Zhuang Yu.
Zhuang Yu was stunned for a moment, then picked up the cub, who could fall asleep while walking.
Shen Hanxiao looked at Gu Rong, whose eyes were tightly closed, and clicked his tongue: “How can this little ghost just fall asleep like that? Does he have narcolepsy?”
Zhuang Yu said, “Rongrong went straight to sleep, he didn’t say anything.”
Shen Hanxiao: “…”
The other players were all thinking, damn.
How can he still sleep at a time like this?
Gu Rong turned into a little ghost state. Hearing the two of them talking, he tilted his little head: [What’s narcolepsy?]
006: [Don’t worry about that. Little host, let’s go steal the key!]
Gu Rong clenched his little fist, his little bun-like face determined: [It’s borrow!]
006: […] Okay, it’s borrowing. Little host’s business, can it be considered stealing?
The group had just walked not far from the chapel when Gu Rong, with his short little legs, couldn’t run fast. He directly stepped on his left foot with his right foot and flew up, whoosh, flying back to the chapel.
The priest was still standing on the podium, tidying up the Bible. His complexion was pale, and his lowered eyebrows and eyes were so beautiful they didn’t seem human.
The silver key was dangling clearly on his neck.
Gu Rong flew into the chapel like a little cannonball. However, just as he was about to fly near the priest, a curtain of light suddenly appeared in front of him, emitting a holy glow, like a barrier, blocking him.
Gu Rong slammed into the light curtain with a “thud” and then slowly slid down from mid-air.
The priest seemed to sense something. He raised his eyes slightly, and looked at the empty space in front of him, and his gaze was thoughtful.
Gu Rong landed on his bottom, sitting on the ground, a tiny lump, his little face bewildered.
The livestream chat was both heartbroken and amused.
[Such a flurry of activity, flying so smoothly, and falling so smoothly.]
[It was as if Zaizai flew over specifically to fall on his bottom. LOL.]
Gu Rong: [Huh? Why can’t Zaizai get through?]
006 thought for a moment and said: [Little host, it’s probably because the Key of Light on the priest’s neck can prevent ghosts and monsters from getting close. We’re the Hanged Little Ghost now, so we were blocked.]
That meant he could only approach the priest as a little mental patient.
Gu Rong said “Oh,” and could only cancel the [Hanged Little Ghost] identity card and return to his body.
Gu Rong had only been asleep for less than two minutes when he woke up. Zhuang Yu and Shen Hanxiao were both stunned.
Shen Hanxiao: “How can you just wake up like that, little ghost?”
Gu Rong: “Rongrong woke up directly, and didn’t say anything.”
Zhuang Yu: “…”
Shen Hanxiao: “…”
You better hope you really were asleep and not pretending!
Lin Xuezhu, tall and with long legs, squinted his eyes and looked over, taking in the whole scene.

It was lunchtime, and the players were all planning how to go to the Black Forest in the back mountains, eating in silence.
Looking at the two players sitting with the NPC patients, the players’ moods were very complicated.
The afternoon break was too short, and during the day, there were too many people and too many eyes. It wasn’t a good time to go to the back mountains, so they could only wait until night.
Zhuang Yu said, “Three days and one and a half days have already passed. We haven’t even seen one of the administrators, the one who manages nothing, the Hypnotist, hasn’t shown up yet, let alone finding the keys.”
Shen Hanxiao said, “What’s the Black Forest like? How do we get to the back mountains from under the nose of the bristle monster? That’s also a problem.”
Gu Rong was focused on eating, wearing a little bib around his neck, holding a spoon in his little hand, and opening his mouth wide to eat with gusto.
His little ears didn’t miss hearing Big Brother and Little Brother talking. He patted his little tummy and said, “Rongrong go!”
He meant that Rongrong had been to the Black Forest.
Hearing Shen Hanxiao call Jessie the bristle monster, he corrected him in a babyish voice, “Big Monster is Hairy Uncle, not bristle monster!”
Shen Hanxiao: “…”
Zhuang Yu: “…”
What a good Big Monster!
Just tell me, where is Big Monster better than Bristle Monster?
As for Hairy Uncle, that was purely for laughs!
[Hahahahahaha, Zaizai is Auntie’s precious! [Gifts points]]
[I’m telling you, this NPC cub has already been to the Black Forest and became the devil’s little lackey, and he’s already gotten two keys. And this group of players is still worrying about how to go to the Black Forest? Shouldn’t you really reflect on yourselves?]
[Just don’t put yourselves in the shoes of these useless players. It’s so much more enjoyable to put yourself in our Zaizai’s shoes!]
[What’s up with this batch of players? They’re not even as good as a two-year-old child. Zaizai is playing them like dogs [Gifts points]]
[…]
Just then, seeing that the food on his plate was almost gone, Gu Rong suddenly clutched his little tummy, his little face changing: “Tummy hurts!”
Zhuang Yu and Shen Hanxiao’s expressions changed. Getting a stomachache right after eating, it was hard not to have bad thoughts.
They wanted to check if Gu Rong had eaten the wrong thing, accidentally eating meat, but Gu Rong’s plate was already empty, not a single grain of rice left.
Zhuang Yu: “…”
Shen Hanxiao: “…”
Calm down!
They had helped Gu Rong pick out the food, and they had eaten it themselves. It was impossible for only Gu Rong to have a problem.
Shen Hanxiao pressed Gu Rong’s round little tummy: “Little ghost, do you feel like you need to poop?”
Gu Rong nodded, then shook his head. He was young, and apart from saying his tummy hurt, he didn’t know how to describe it specifically.
Zhuang Yu was so anxious that he picked Gu Rong up, but he didn’t know where to take him.
The other players’ attention was also drawn over.
Damn, damn, has this little cub finally been hit?
In their opinion, for Gu Rong, this two-year-old toddler, not to have been eliminated on the first day and to have survived until now was already beyond expectations!
Sure enough, luck would be there, but without strength, it was impossible to be lucky forever.
They all expressed sympathy for this cub. Probably because they had just prayed, a few players even unconsciously made the praying gesture, pointing their fingers at their foreheads and then at their chests.
Just as they finished the gesture, they were horrified to realize what they were doing and quickly put down their hands.
006 said anxiously: [Little host, are you okay?]
Gu Rong’s baby voice: [Dunno!]
006: [Little host, don’t be scared. It’s probably just indigestion. I carefully checked the little host’s food just now. There was no meat, so it won’t be a problem.]
[And, we’re NPCs. Even if we accidentally eat meat, at most the [Little Mental Patient] identity card will be scrapped. We still have the [Hanged Little Ghost] and [Devil’s Little Lackey] identity cards.]
Just as they were at a loss, Lin Xuezhu’s slender figure appeared at the entrance of the dining hall.
He was wearing a white coat, his hands in his pockets, walking leisurely towards them. His gaze fell on the cub in Zhuang Yu’s arms.
The dining hall was silent, and everyone silently watched Lin Xuezhu walk up to Zhuang Yu.
Is he going to be taken away?!
Lin Xuezhu, with his handsome and impeccable face, always had a faint, clearly fake smile on his face. He reached out to Zhuang Yu and said, his voice low and magnetic, “Give him to me.”
Gu Rong was young and didn’t understand the dangers of the human heart. Seeing Lin Xuezhu reach out to him, he also reached out his short little arms, obediently letting himself be held: “Doctor Uncle!”
The cub knew that when the body wasn’t feeling well, you had to see a doctor. His tummy hurt, so naturally, he had to let Doctor Uncle take a look.
Zhuang Yu and Shen Hanxiao were both wary, unwilling to hand the dumpling over.
What if Gu Rong’s fate was the same as that of the player who had turned into an octopus culture medium? Would Gu Rong also be dragged to the Black Forest in the back mountains?
Lin Xuezhu smiled faintly, his expression indifferent. The gold-rimmed glasses on his nose glinted with a cold, metallic light. He was quietly waiting for Zhuang Yu and Shen Hanxiao to compromise.
They had no capital to oppose an NPC, especially an NPC with some authority.
They were at an impasse.
Lin Xuezhu took something out of his white coat pocket, something that looked like a controller, with numbers on it.
Zhuang Yu and Shen Hanxiao exchanged a glance, then each looked down at the wristbands on their wrists. Could this be…?
“The wristband controller!”
A player exclaimed in a low voice, “Wasn’t it in Chief Morrison’s hands? How did it end up with Dr. Lin?”
“If he presses that thing, wouldn’t they be electrocuted to death in seconds?”
The players’ eyes widened, and they simultaneously looked at the wristbands on their wrists, subconsciously hiding them, their minds racing.
Zhuang Yu and Shen Hanxiao immediately offered the cub up with both hands. Between Lin Xuezhu directly taking Gu Rong away and electrocuting them to death before taking Gu Rong away, they wisely chose the former.
“Hahaha, hold him carefully, carefully, be careful not to drop him.”
“…”
Gu Rong went from Zhuang Yu’s arms, through Shen Hanxiao’s hands, and into Lin Xuezhu’s hands.
Lin Xuezhu was very tall, and holding a round, chubby two-year-old dumpling was effortless, like holding a doll. It took no effort at all.
Gu Rong’s little face was bewildered. He was still clutching his little tummy, blinking his big eyes, looking at Lin Xuezhu.
Lin Xuezhu looked down at him and carried him away.
The remaining players all sighed.
Poor kid, he’s been taken offline just like that.
The livestream chat was about to die of laughter seeing the players’ reactions.
They couldn’t wait to see what expressions they would have when they discovered that Zaizai had always been an NPC. It was sure to be a spectacular sight!

Lin Xuezhu carried Gu Rong to the treatment room.
The air was filled with the smell of disinfectant.
The treatment room was filled with medical equipment, various unknown drugs and test tubes, and a row of shelves displaying human organs soaked in formaldehyde solution.
There were also some unformed animal embryos, looking exceptionally terrifying.
But Gu Rong was brave and not afraid at all. He even tilted his little head, looking around curiously.
Lin Xuezhu carried Gu Rong to the inner room, placed him on a hospital bed, and turned to leave.
Gu Rong sat on the bed, a tiny little thing, his little hands still clutching his little tummy.
Soon, Lin Xuezhu returned, holding a glass of water and a capsule, coming over to feed the cub.
His fingers were long and slender, with even knuckles, and his skin was a pale white, lacking color.
When Gu Rong saw the pill, he turned his little head away, saying in a babyish voice, “Don’t want medicine!”
Lin Xuezhu: “…”
Lin Xuezhu didn’t force him to take it. He switched it for a candy and offered it to him again.
Gu Rong slowly turned his little head back, looked at the candy, and looked at Lin Xuezhu.
He wanted to eat it but was embarrassed, unsure if he could.
He had a round head and face, round arms and legs, and short legs. He’d straightened his little legs but they were still shorter than a person’s forearm, and his head was styled with a little slicked-back look, every cuteness attribute maximized.
Lin Xuezhu waited patiently, not taking it away or urging him, quietly waiting for this cub to accept the offering.
After a moment, Gu Rong, certain that Lin Xuezhu had no ill intentions towards him, took the candy with his little hand, popped it into his mouth with a “nom,” chewed it, and sweetly said, “Thank you, Doctor Uncle!”
Lin Xuezhu leaned casually against the table, bringing the glass of water to his lips and taking a sip.
Gu Rong, completely without guard, said, “Doctor Uncle, Zaizai’s tummy is all better, it doesn’t hurt anymore!”
Sure enough, seeing Doctor Uncle when you’re sick makes you better!
Lin Xuezhu said, “Oh? Is that so?”
Gu Rong nodded: “Yes, the candy Doctor Uncle gave Rongrong is really yummy!”
This cub was so sweet. He didn’t say the candy was yummy, but that the candy Doctor Uncle “gave” him was yummy.
The emphasis was on Doctor Uncle giving it, not on the candy itself.
He maximized emotional value.
Lin Xuezhu smiled: “Cub, you took something of mine.”
Gu Rong tilted his head. His mouth was filled with the sweet taste of milk candy. He said, puzzled, “Zaizai took what of Doctor Uncle’s?”
He didn’t know!
Lin Xuezhu looked at his chubby little wrist, specifically, at the wristband emitting a pale purple light on his wrist.
“3416,” Lin Xuezhu raised an eyebrow. “That’s my identity number.”
“…”
All along, with Gu Rong, there were 13 players. But Gu Rong wasn’t a player, but an NPC disguised as a player.
There were supposed to be 13 players, so how could there only be 12?
If there was a Zaizai NPC disguised as a player, there must be a player disguised as an NPC.

[Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, I can’t reveal spoilers, it’s killing me! Damn it, damn it, I’m so excited I don’t know what to say besides cursing!!]
[A Zaizai NPC disguised as a player, a big shot player disguised as an NPC doctor, incredible, too incredible!!]
[Stand at attention!! [Gifts points]]
[This instance is my favorite two finally meeting. My favorite Zaizai, my favorite big shot Lin Xuezhu, Lin-dalao!] (dalao – big shot/bigwig/boss)
[This instance has joined my top annual favorites. One more curse, the other players are really useless!]
[Who would have thought that both of them were entering the game for the first time, and they’re both newbies, a newbie NPC, and a newbie player! [Gifts points]]
[Lin-dalao doesn’t look like a newbie player at all. Could he be a max-level big shot opening a smurf account to revisit the newbie village?]
[But Lin-dalao is really good-looking. His looks are on par with our Zaizai hahaha. Even standing next to Father Noah, he’s not inferior!]
[Dalao doesn’t just have looks, he also has intelligence, and it seems like he has low pain sensitivity. Everyone still remembers Jessie breaking his arm, and Lin-dalao just put it back together without batting an eye!]
[Low pain sensitivity LOL [Gifts points]]
Overwhelming gifts flooded both of their livestreams.

A Zaizai NPC and a player disguised as an NPC were undoubtedly the focus of this instance.
The viewers couldn’t imagine what kind of reactions the other players would have when they found out that this cub was an NPC and that this doctor was a player.
They were completely played.
Gu Rong was a smart cub. Hearing Lin Xuezhu say this, he blinked his big eyes and said, his mouth forming an “O” shape: “Doctor Uncle is a player!”
Lin Xuezhu smiled: “You took the wristband that originally belonged to me.”
He paused, then looked Gu Rong up and down, “Zaizai is an NPC?”
Gu Rong: “…”
006: […]
006: [Little host, let’s run!]
Hearing this, Gu Rong immediately wanted to slide off the bed.
Lin Xuezhu stood up, and with one hand, he picked up the little cub.
Gu Rong stretched out his little hands and legs, his little voice crisp: “Help!”
Lin Xuezhu seemed to be amused, and he ruffled his little slicked-back hair.
Hmm, the texture was indeed very good.
