Lu Songli finds herself transmigrated into a novel, becoming the original wife of the male lead, Xie Zhan, in  the novel  “The Pampered Concubine of the Powerful Minister”.

In the story, her character was supposed to have her husband stolen by her friend Zhao Yutan, who returns from exile in glory. They secretly engage in an affair while she is gravely ill, eventually causing her to die of anger.
