Chapter 16: Meeting Under the Moon
The sleeping powder is difficult to dissipate indoors. With the thunder, the bandits inside those houses cannot wake up, but there is movement in the cave. The people inside heard the women’s cries earlier and came out to see what was happening.
Several leaders had not yet chosen their women, so who would dare to seek death by approaching these women? Seeking death!
Tian Mi hid at the cave entrance. The bandit felt a bit dazed, but seeing so many women running outside, he angrily yelled, “Are you all blind? The women are escaping!”
As soon as he stepped out of the cave, Tian Mi swiftly cut off his head with a large knife!
Tian Mi had only thrown the sleeping powder in the main hall of the cave. Before it spread, only the main hall had the effect of the powder. If someone just hurried through, they wouldn’t faint immediately, but if they walked slowly or lingered for a few seconds, they would pass out!
Hearing that the women had escaped, the bandits rushed outside one after another. Tian Mi stood guard at the cave entrance, slicing down anyone who came out. It was truly a single warrior holding back a thousand foes. After cutting down two, the bandits hurriedly retreated into the cave, then began to faint one by one on the ground.
Tian Mi secretly laughed. With the sleeping powder clearing the way and her space protecting her, she couldn’t return empty-handed.
It was essential to eliminate the bandit hideout!
With a big knife in hand, she didn’t need to be too precise; one knife per person made it hard not to kill. Tian Mi took out her flashlight and illuminated the cave as bright as day—no, even brighter than day!
The leader and the second-in-command realized someone had come out and drew their big knives, preparing for battle.
Tian Mi illuminated the main hall and took care of every bandit inside. One knife for each. The leader had caves on both sides, so she first tossed two doses of sleeping powder into each of those caves.
The two caves housed the leader and the second-in-command.
The leader shouted, “Who is that? If you have something to discuss, I, the Mountain Tiger, am a reasonable man. Don’t harm our peace.”
Tian Mi ignored him. It wouldn’t be long before the sleeping powder spread, and these bandits would have to let her do as she pleased.
Inside the cave, the leader noticed that his subordinates were gradually fainting and shouted to the second-in-command, “Second brother, if we don’t rush out and fight, we’re all going to die!”
The second-in-command also realized the seriousness of the situation and raised his knife, shouting, “Big brother, I’ll charge first!”
With that, he yelled and charged into the main hall along with his subordinates. Haha! The main hall was now the area with the strongest concentration of sleeping powder, so they quickly fainted along the way. Tian Mi naturally didn’t hold back, taking one down with each knife.
Hearing no movement, the leader sensed something was wrong and became a bit panicked, saying, “Brave men, this disaster year is tough for everyone! We were forced into this; please spare us! I’ll give you all the wealth we’ve stolen!”
Tian Mi remained silent, thinking, “Are you really going to give it to me? I won’t take it myself!”
It was incredibly difficult for the disaster victims to escape here; they had to endure so much hardship, only to be killed and robbed like this!
Although the original host had been a bandit for two days, they hadn’t robbed or killed anyone! The only person they bullied was due to beauty, and now they regretted turning back to the right path! One person’s night of indulgence had awakened so many bandits’ dreams; that could be considered doing good!
Cough, cough, cough! That’s how it went!
Inside the cave, the leader’s subordinates were falling one by one. He couldn’t take it anymore and raised his knife, saying to the remaining subordinates, “Brothers, let’s fight him!”
Ah! Charge! And then there was nothing more! They didn’t even see Tian Mi’s face before they fainted.
Sigh! After preparing so many things, only this small sleeping powder played a major role, a treasure for home travel and banditry.
Tian Mi, with her flashlight, mercilessly killed one after another, but suddenly one person staggered up from among the fainted, raising his knife to strike. Tian Mi shone the flashlight in his eyes, freezing him in place, and then he fainted!
Haha! Never seen this before, right? I’ve invited the sun into the cave; I’m a goddess!
Cutting off heads and calling themselves Mountain Tigers? They’re more like climbing tigers!
It’s better to be a bandit and make money; this pile of grain and supplies is a fortune. Did they rob merchants? So much fabric, medicinal herbs, furs, and cash—twelve boxes in total, all taken!
A horse cannot thrive without night grass, and a person cannot become rich without unexpected wealth!
As for the bandits in the thatched house, Tian Mi initially didn’t want to spare them, but when she kicked open the door and saw several thin men huddled together sleeping on stone beds, they were completely different from the bandits in the cave.
Her heart softened. She left behind ten bags of grain, took all the weapons, and four cows and two horses before leaving!
As she descended the mountain, she suddenly heard the sound of hoofbeats. Tian Mi became alert; could there be bandits returning?
To her surprise, the person approaching was Bai Muchen, who had been sent to capture her. Bai Muchen was ordered to attack the Prince of Yu, but the prince’s territory was suffering from a once-in-a-hundred-years drought, so their army naturally couldn’t advance; would they be seeking death by entering?
The army couldn’t come, but they needed to scout military intelligence and understand the terrain in advance!
Most importantly, he wanted to take revenge for the humiliation he suffered!
That fat guy had run away, definitely heading south. He just needed to follow the crowd and he’d surely find her; with such a fat person, among all the fleeing people, she would stand out. No matter how many people there were, he could spot her at a glance.
After passing through Xingrong County, he heard people in the crowd saying they encountered bandits ahead—bandits, again! He hated bandits the most, so he decided to confront this group of bandits.
From a distance, he heard the sound of hoofbeats.
One drew a sword, and the other carried a big knife, slowly approaching under the dim moonlight!
One was as handsome as a celestial being descended from the moon.
The other had a three-tiered swimming ring that shook as his horse moved.
As they faced each other! What the heck!
Enemies meet, and it’s especially intense!
Seeing his enemy, Bai Muchen brandished his sword and lunged, “You fat guy, I finally found you!”
What the heck! What kind of luck is this? I’ve run so far and still run into him!
Bai Muchen’s swordsmanship was exceptionally fierce. Tian Mi didn’t dare be careless and hurriedly swung her knife to block, but he was incredibly strong! She could still block it, but as he grew bolder with each attack, she couldn’t hold on any longer. Tian Mi decided to disrupt
