Chapter 34: Framed

Lin Yuan and Dayong finished their meal and took a taxi to their destination.

The weather, which was still sunny in the morning, was now starting to turn gray. “Yuan, it looks like it’s going to rain.”

Dayong looked at her. “You carry an umbrella even on sunny days?”

“Yeah, better safe than sorry.”

However, what she saw when she walked in was Lin Zhenghai and Jiang Peiyao accompanying Lin Fangfei as she blew out the candles on her birthday cake.

Dayong was just an office worker. Although he had gained some weight, he had no intimidation factor at all. Lin Yuan peeked out from behind him and smiled at the crew-cut man.

“Hello, we’re employees of Yarui, we’re here to talk to you about the delivery process.”

He hadn’t seen her because she was blocked by Dayong. When she suddenly popped out, the crew-cut man’s eyes lit up, and he raised his eyebrows. “Yarui?”

Lin Yuan nodded. “Yes, are we talking to you directly?”

“Don’t know you, get lost!”

Lin Yuan and Dayong exchanged glances. This guy was clearly being unreasonable.

Lin Yuan had also secretly peeked into the warehouse from behind Dayong. There were clearly many boxes in the far corner, sealed with tape and labeled with the Yarui name.

Lin Yuan: “Yarui has signed a contract with you. If you don’t deliver the goods within the contract deadline, it’s a breach of contract, and you will have to pay a penalty.”

Lin Yuan frowned. This man didn’t seem like he was lying. She pulled Dayong back to the side. “Didn’t Meng Chengzhang say that the payment for this batch of goods had already been made?”

“Yes, it was said at the last meeting.”

Dayong called the company to verify the payment, but the company couldn’t get in touch with Meng Chengzhang. Lin Yuan thought for a moment and then took out the payment contract and showed it to the crew-cut man. “This is the payment contract from last time. Take a look. We wouldn’t joke about something like this.”

But the crew-cut man just threw the contract to the ground and stomped on it with his Martin boots. “Bullshit contract. I only believed your contract because I thought Yarui was a big company, so I supplied you with some goods first. I didn’t expect you to be a big company bullying the small ones by delaying payment!”

“Impossible, Yarui would never do such a thing!”

When Wang Rui founded Yarui, he started with the principle of being a conscientious company. How could he do something that would cut off his own path?

The crew-cut man impatiently glared at Lin Yuan. “Little girl, I advise you and this bear to get out of here, or don’t blame me for being rude!”

The men who were moving the goods were all strong and healthy, and they deliberately bumped into Lin Yuan and Dayong. They had no choice but to back further and further away.

“Yuan, I don’t think we’re going to get the goods today. Why don’t we go back?”

Lin Yuan frowned, and after a while, shook her head. “Dayong, it’s not easy for us to come all this way. There must be some misunderstanding. Why don’t you go back to the company to verify it, and I’ll stay here. If our payment is indeed correct, we can provide proof so they can ship the goods.”
