“On the Day of My Blind Date, I Had a Flash Marriage with a Wealthy Heir” Chapter 34

Chapter 34: Framed

Lin Yuan and Dayong finished their meal and took a taxi to their destination.

The weather, which was still sunny in the morning, was now starting to turn gray. “Yuan, it looks like it’s going to rain.”

Lin Yuan patted her bag. “Don’t worry, I brought an umbrella.”

Dayong looked at her. “You carry an umbrella even on sunny days?”

“Yeah, better safe than sorry.”

When she was a child, she had to walk home from school during a heavy rainstorm. All the other students had their parents picking them up, but Lin Yuan called Lin Zhenghai several times, begging him to come get her.

Lin Zhenghai either wouldn’t answer or would just hang up.

Lin Yuan didn’t know if he was trying to compete with her or what, but she just ran into the rain. When she finally got home, she was soaked through.

However, what she saw when she walked in was Lin Zhenghai and Jiang Peiyao accompanying Lin Fangfei as she blew out the candles on her birthday cake.

At that moment, she felt like she had fallen into an ice cellar.

It turned out he wasn’t incapable of being a father, he just didn’t want to care about her.

Lin Yuan later developed a fever and stayed in bed for three days. She almost became delirious. The maid, seeing her condition, secretly gave her some ginger water, which helped her sweat out the fever and recover.

From then on, she always kept an umbrella in her bag, relying on herself for everything.

When they arrived at the factory, several large trucks were hurriedly loading and unloading, and no one paid any attention to them.

Dayong went up to greet them. “Hello, who is the person in charge here?”

A man with a crew cut and a short haircut squinted at him. “What’s the matter?”

The man’s eyes were unkind, and he had a long scar on his brow bone that extended to the corner of his eye, making him look intimidating.

Dayong: “Are you the person in charge?”

The man spat on the ground disdainfully. “Spit it out, you can’t understand human language?”

Dayong: “Why are you swearing at me?”

The man jumped off the truck, his bare upper body muscular. He stood face to face with Dayong. “If you don’t get out of here, I’ll beat you up, you believe me?”

Dayong was just an office worker. Although he had gained some weight, he had no intimidation factor at all. Lin Yuan peeked out from behind him and smiled at the crew-cut man.

“Hello, we’re employees of Yarui, we’re here to talk to you about the delivery process.”

He hadn’t seen her because she was blocked by Dayong. When she suddenly popped out, the crew-cut man’s eyes lit up, and he raised his eyebrows. “Yarui?”

Lin Yuan nodded. “Yes, are we talking to you directly?”

“Don’t know you, get lost!”

Lin Yuan and Dayong exchanged glances. This guy was clearly being unreasonable.

Lin Yuan had also secretly peeked into the warehouse from behind Dayong. There were clearly many boxes in the far corner, sealed with tape and labeled with the Yarui name.

Lin Yuan: “Yarui has signed a contract with you. If you don’t deliver the goods within the contract deadline, it’s a breach of contract, and you will have to pay a penalty.”

Lin Yuan seemed to be even bolder than Dayong when facing the crew-cut man.

The people who were moving the goods back and forth kept passing in front of them, squeezing Lin Yuan and Dayong so that they had no room to stand.

The crew-cut man looked like he had heard a joke. “Breach of contract? That’s fucking hilarious. If there’s a breach of contract, it’s Yarui that’s breached first. Go back and ask your people if they’ve paid the money, then come back and talk to me about this!”

Lin Yuan frowned. This man didn’t seem like he was lying. She pulled Dayong back to the side. “Didn’t Meng Chengzhang say that the payment for this batch of goods had already been made?”

“Yes, it was said at the last meeting.”

Dayong called the company to verify the payment, but the company couldn’t get in touch with Meng Chengzhang. Lin Yuan thought for a moment and then took out the payment contract and showed it to the crew-cut man. “This is the payment contract from last time. Take a look. We wouldn’t joke about something like this.”

But the crew-cut man just threw the contract to the ground and stomped on it with his Martin boots. “Bullshit contract. I only believed your contract because I thought Yarui was a big company, so I supplied you with some goods first. I didn’t expect you to be a big company bullying the small ones by delaying payment!”

“Impossible, Yarui would never do such a thing!”

When Wang Rui founded Yarui, he started with the principle of being a conscientious company. How could he do something that would cut off his own path?

The crew-cut man impatiently glared at Lin Yuan. “Little girl, I advise you and this bear to get out of here, or don’t blame me for being rude!”

The men who were moving the goods were all strong and healthy, and they deliberately bumped into Lin Yuan and Dayong. They had no choice but to back further and further away.

“Yuan, I don’t think we’re going to get the goods today. Why don’t we go back?”

Lin Yuan frowned, and after a while, shook her head. “Dayong, it’s not easy for us to come all this way. There must be some misunderstanding. Why don’t you go back to the company to verify it, and I’ll stay here. If our payment is indeed correct, we can provide proof so they can ship the goods.”

They couldn’t produce any strong evidence right now, so Lin Yuan wasn’t that confident.

Dayong thought about it and agreed. If they just left, they would have wasted a trip, and Yang Ligang, that bastard, would probably make things difficult for them.

“Yuan, it’s not suitable for you, a girl, to stay here. I’ll stay, you go back to verify.”

But Lin Yuan shook her head helplessly. If she went back on the bus right now, she would be miserable.

In the end, they discussed it and Dayong went back. Lin Yuan found a place to sit down and wait.

It was only a little past 12 o’clock now. If she went back and verified things, she would be able to catch the bus back by two o’clock.

She found a place to sit outside the warehouse. Since she was bored, she sent a message to Sheng Xiao asking how his interview went.

Sheng Xiao replied quickly.

【Everything went smoothly, normal entry into the job.】

Lin Yuan happily called him.

【I told you you were the best, Sheng Xiao.】

Sheng Xiao’s magnetic voice came through the phone, and Lin Yuan was moved. Her man was perfect in every way, good-looking and with a great voice.

【Aren’t you at the company? Why is it so noisy?】

Lin Yuan sighed and told Sheng Xiao about today’s events.

【I don’t know what the problem is. Hopefully Dayong can verify it quickly, so I won’t be late to cook for you tonight.】

Sheng Xiao had found a good job, and Lin Yuan wanted to celebrate with him.

She didn’t understand the twists and turns of the company, but Sheng Xiao on the other end of the phone frowned.

With the payment in place, there was no reason to hold back the shipment. It wouldn’t be beneficial to them either. The problem must be within Yarui. Lin Yuan had been tricked.

【Yuan, send me your current location.】

Although Lin Yuan didn’t know why he wanted this, she still obediently sent it to him.

They chatted for a few more sweet words, and Sheng Xiao told her to be safe before hanging up.
