Once a Noble Wife and Now a Rough man’s Beloved Chapter 95

Chapter 95 : Sister

Master Yu was not in the palace, so there was only one place he could have gone.

Yue Shaozhi knew that Yu Liang had gone to seek help, while Wen Jun stayed behind to comfort Zhou.

“The princess is blessed with such a beautiful figure, no need to worry, madam.”

“Thank you for your kind words, Young Marquis.” Zhou glanced at Song Jinzhuo beside her, intending to ask him to come forward and comfort their daughter.

But Song Jinzhuo said, “Since the prince is here, let’s not disturb them.”

Zhou looked at her daughter tightly nestled in Yue Shaozhi’s arms, sighed, and left with Song Jinzhuo.

Wen Jun, bored and a bit sleepy, stretched. Seeing that he had nothing else to do, he wandered off to amuse himself.

By the courtyard pond, a handsome young man stood at the stone railing, slowly tossing feed into the water one piece at a time.

Wen Jun strolled over with interest, grabbed the bait from the boy’s hand, and threw it all into the pond.

The fish immediately gathered in excitement.

Wen Jun said, “See? That’s how you feed fish. Watching them scramble is the fun part.”

Fifteen tilted his head and looked at him, “Young Marquis Wen?”

Wen Jun replied, “That’s me.”

Fifteen: “Are you here to see the Marquis?”

Wen Jun: “Shaozhi and I were handling some business nearby. When we heard the princess was unwell, we came over. It’s boring, so I’m just wandering around.”

Fifteen nodded slightly, then copied Wen Jun by scattering the rest of the bait.

The fish became excited again. Wen Jun clapped his hands. “Interesting, very fun.”

Fifteen: “I won’t bother you anymore, Young Marquis.”

Wen Jun: “Where are you going? Why don’t you keep me company?”

Fifteen: “Just going out for a walk.”

The two guards nearby immediately grew alert upon hearing this.

Their mission is only one: to ensure that he comes back safely!

Wen Jun placed his hand on Fifteen’s shoulder and said, “Alright, let’s go together.”

Fifteen: “Young Marquis, aren’t you waiting for the Prince?”

“He’s with his lovely wife. Come on.” Wen Jun told the two servants, “No need to follow. I’ll bring him back.”

The two guards looked at each other, since the Young Marquis was with him, it should be fine.

Wen Jun took Fifteen out of the Marquis’s residence, but soon realized the boy was easy to lose track of.

In the blink of an eye, he vanished.

Wen Jun looked around twice and finally gave up. “Forget it. If he’s lost, he’s lost. Worst case, the Marquis’s people can come find him.”

When he arrived at Xiaohanju, as expected, he saw Master Yu about to get into a carriage.

Wen Jun walked over and asked, “Why isn’t Song Ying here?”

Master Yu and Yu Liang were both surprised to see him.

Master Yu: “The Princess isn’t here.”

Wen Jun looked at Yu Liang for confirmation.

Yu Liang: “The Princess truly isn’t here.”

Wen Jun replied with slight disappointment, “Alright, I’ll head back to the mansion with you guys then.”

Inside the carriage, Wen Jun yawned from boredom and looked at Master Yu across from him. He asked curiously, “I heard you never stay in one place for more than a month, but it’s been two months now.”

“I wonder what’s made you stay this long. Did the Regent promise you some rare treasure?”

Master Yu calmly replied, “No.”

“Oh…” Wen Jun glanced at Yu Liang, who was driving outside. Then he stood up, sat next to Master Yu, and asked in a low voice, “Do you think the Princess can carry this pregnancy to term?”

Master Yu moved slightly away from him and didn’t respond.

Wen Jun continued, “But with your skills, even if she can’t, you could make it possible. Otherwise, wouldn’t the title of Princess go to waste?”

Master Yu’s face changed, and he stared at Wen Jun without blinking.

Wen Jun put on an innocent face and said, “Look at me, being nosy again. Please don’t take it the wrong way…”

Master Yu interrupted him coldly, “Young Marquis Wen, the Princess already told me everything when I arrived at Xiaohanju. You don’t need to stir up trouble. As a physician, I will do my duty.”

Wen Jun laughed silently. She really was his Aying, always one step ahead, leaving him with no chance to scheme against her.

Master Yu took Song Ruoer’s pulse and said with a hint of impatience, “Princess, I’ve told you many times if you keep worrying about meaningless things, even the best medicine won’t be able to stabilize your condition.”

Song Ruoer lowered her eyes and clutched Yue Shaozhi’s hand tightly. “Master, please don’t be upset. I was just thinking about His Highness and got distracted for a moment…”

Master Yu no longer wanted to hear her repetitive explanations. He turned to Yue Shaozhi and said, “Your Highness, may I have a word with you?”

Once outside, Master Yu dropped all formalities.

“Your Highness, forgive my inability. After I prescribe one final dose, I will leave the capital.”

Yue Shaozhi had already anticipated this and simply asked, “Can the child be saved?”

Master Yu didn’t conceal anything. “That depends on the princess herself and on you, Your Majesty.”

Yue Shaozhi: “On me?”

Master Yu: “The princess is anxious because of you. If you can reassure her, it will be more effective than any medicine, and the pregnancy can be preserved.”

Yue Shaozhi was silent for a moment, then nodded. “I understand. You’ve worked hard during this time. I will prepare a reward for you.”

Master Yu replied, “There’s no need.”

He moved swiftly, wrote a new prescription, gave some instructions, and left the Marquis’ Mansion to head to Shangyue Tower and bid farewell to Song Ying.

Song Ying was playing with two children alongside Huo Zhen. When she heard someone was asking for her, she came downstairs.

“Master…” She looked at Fifteen standing next to Master Yu and asked in surprise, “Why are you here too?”

Master Yu explained, “I saw this kid wandering in circles on the road, so I approached and asked. Turns out, he was looking for you too.”

Fifteen scratched his head awkwardly. “Sorry for the trouble.”

Song Ying sighed. “Let’s go upstairs.”

Master Yu waved his hand. “No need. I’ve already spoken to His Highness. I’m leaving the capital now.”

Just as she expected.

Song Ying asked, “Do you need me to prepare anything?”

Master Yu shook his head.

Song Ying said, “I’ll escort you, Master.”

Master Yu: “Stay.”

After watching Master Yu leave, Song Ying turned to Fifteen. “What about you? Should I have someone take you back to the Marquis’ Mansion?”

Fifteen: “I’m hungry.”

Song Ying: “If you’re hungry, go back to the mansion and eat.”

Seeing her turn to leave, Fifteen grabbed her sleeve and called out pitifully, “Sister…”

Song Ying smiled and gently removed his hand. “Calling me sister? I don’t recall my mother giving birth to a younger brother.”

Fifteen pouted and muttered, “My mother is crazy…”

The street bustled with people, yet Fifteen stood there all alone.

Song Ying sighed again, pulled him into her own carriage, and said, “Let me make one thing clear: I’m already married. I have nothing to do with the Song family anymore.”

Fifteen shook his head slightly. “I just wanted to see my sister.”

Song Ying snorted. “Don’t forget, you have a sister who’s a princess now and a brother just six months older than you.”

Fifteen’s eyes dimmed. But when he looked up again, the pitiful look was gone. In its place was a calm and determined expression, one with hidden sharpness.

“Sister is clever. I knew I couldn’t fool you. I came to talk to you about something serious.”

Song Ying: “Oh?”

Fifteen took a deep breath and stared at her, his gaze growing cold and heavy.

“Sister, will you destroy the Song family with me?”
